I love the concept of Cosmic Groove massage centers. They charge a very affordable amount for…read moremassages. The 1st and 10th visits are $44 for an hour massage and the everything in between is $54 for an hour. I've probably been to Cosmic Groove 5 times over the past five years and for the most part have had pretty good experiences. I just went back this month for the first time in a few years and wasn't so impressed though. My two biggest issues were that my massage therapist had BO and so I could smell her body odor every time she was near my head. It was a little distracting and not so relaxing having that smell around me. The second issue was that when I filled out my paperwork before the massage and wrote that I prefered no touch below the waist down that day and after the massage therapist finished my shoulders and back, she immediately started massaging my legs. I don't understand, she either didn't read the paper when she was looking over it or she forgot what she had read. That being said, all of my other experiences with them were pretty great. The studio is nothing fancy but it is comfortable and inviting. All of my interactions there have been friendly and warm. I'll be back for sure, I just hope not to see the same therapist unless she showers first.

My daughter bought me a gift certificate for my birthday. My fault it took me two years to use,…read morehowever I had many issues when booking. First, I could not use the website to book my appointment. When I called to book my appointment, I was told that the gift certificate expired. I read the disclaimer to the representative which states: Gift certificates are subject to the expiration date. If any set forth, on the face of the certificate, except where prohibited by applicable law. There is no expiration date on my gift certificate, still she insisted it expired. So I paid $25 to renew the gift certificate and booked my appointment for Massage on Wheels. On June 25th, the day of my massage, I actually forgot the massage was booked. No one called to confirm. I received a call from the company around 10:30 and immediately called them back. I explained to the gentleman that, yes I did forget, however this was supposed to be an in-home massage. He placed me on hold, and when he came back he said: Unfortunately, we did not have that this was to be an in-home massage and because you did not cancel within the two hours, we will need to charge you. I explained that I was not a no-call no-show you actually were and that they were not permitted to charge me credit card. I felt bad for the gentleman, because obviously he was relaying a message, just as the previous woman did, because the manager or owner does not have the courtesy to get on the phone. This is terrible customer service. Now I'm off to ensure they do not charge my credit card or I will need to file a formal complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs.

Brian is special though. I'm a baker and a waitress and I tend to wear my shoulders as earrings after a long work week. In our first session, Brian knew right away which spots to focus on and how to ask my jaw to relax. He has a quiet intuitive nature and spends time just listening to my aches and pains. He talks with my muscles and they seem to acquiesce willingly. I don't feel bruised and beaten when he's finished but relaxed and grounded. Some body workers try to force the muscles into submission but not Brian. He has a strong but gentle hand causing the knots to fade away peacefully and the muscles to slip easily back into their assigned positions. I'm a single mom with a small discretionary budget. Usually I'd prefer to spend that money on a movie with my kid or having cocktails with friends. Fluid Massage is so totally worth sacrificing those things. Brian is both therapist and body worker and it's obvious that he cares a great deal and has taken the time to really hone his craft. Frankly, I think he's pretty amazing.

Brian is a unique combination of talent, experience, knowledge and passion. I started seeing Brian in Redwood City, California. Later he began coming to my home for private sessions with me and my daughters, who are semi-competitive gymnasts. His work assisted me in getting through the most stressful time of my life (involving the construction industry, insurance industry, legal and judicial industries, so you can only imagine). He has been a wonderful influence on my daughters, both physically and spiritually. After Brian moved to Hawaii, the girls and I were fortunate to schedule appointments with him during our Christmas Vacation. And we'll be seeing him again soon, as he will be traveling back to the Bay Area of California for more training and education. Brian is, quite simply, an amazing professional, an honorable man and a decent human being. Over the years, my family has had the privilege of calling him and his lovely wife, Katie, our friends. My are both treasures!

I filled out new patient papers & discussed my problem areas with Tanya. She listened and acknowledged needs for the massage. She reviewed her plan for my time with her and then left the room so I could get situated. When my massage started she focused on my problem areas of neck & shoulders. She took great care to work out a lot of stress I carry there. The rest of the massage was also great and I could have fallen asleep. I'm very happy with the service and availability so I can get in after a work day. I was also offered a first time discount at check out I wasn't aware of. It was a nice surprise! I'll be back to see Tanya as my schedule & budget allows and highly recommended you check this place out! I'll add an entrance pic next visit. It's the first door on the left on the building, just off Brevard road across from the huge Shoe place!
