My daughter bought me a gift certificate for my birthday. My fault it took me two years to use, however I had many issues when booking. First, I could not use the website to book my appointment. When I called to book my appointment, I was told that the gift certificate expired. I read the disclaimer to the representative which states: Gift certificates are subject to the expiration date. If any set forth, on the face of the certificate, except where prohibited by applicable law. There is no expiration date on my gift certificate, still she insisted it expired. So I paid $25 to renew the gift certificate and booked my appointment for Massage on Wheels. On June 25th, the day of my massage, I actually forgot the massage was booked. No one called to confirm. I received a call from the company around 10:30 and immediately called them back. I explained to the gentleman that, yes I did forget, however this was supposed to be an in-home massage. He placed me on hold, and when he came back he said: Unfortunately, we did not have that this was to be an in-home massage and because you did not cancel within the two hours, we will need to charge you. I explained that I was not a no-call no-show you actually were and that they were not permitted to charge me credit card. I felt bad for the gentleman, because obviously he was relaying a message, just as the previous woman did, because the manager or owner does not have the courtesy to get on the phone. This is terrible customer service. Now I'm off to ensure they do not charge my credit card or I will need to file a formal complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs. read more

February 2024 I booked a last minute massage on their website and paid for it. Immediately, the representative called me and said their system was mistaken and there was no opening to take me. She asked if I would like to reschedule and I said no. I was from out of town and going back home. I told her I wanted my money back. It has been 14 days and they have not refunded me despite my phone messages reminding them that they are the ones who cancelled my appointment. At this point, I think they are hoping I won't monitor my bank account to make sure they refund me. read more

Was in town for the weekend and called to get an in-home massage at the airbnb we were renting for our stay. Therapist was very snobby and it was the most rushed massage I have ever had. I have never had a therapist move her hands so fast when massaging. It felt like when you apply body lotion at home. They got me in very last minute when I had a migraine while visiting. Katie was a fantastic massage therapist. She knew exactly where to press to help relieve the tension and pain in my neck, head, and jaw. She even had some time to work my hands and feet that hurt from neuropathy and arthritis. They're located right by my Airbnb, but I lived locally, I'd visit them all the time. Maybe I'll be moving here! There's a parking lot if you need, and they have a little kitchen waiting area with teas and filtered water. It's all out of a beautiful Victorian home used as offices. It's a very calming, welcoming space, and super quiet. I like that they offer in home massages as well, especially if you're not mobile enough to get out. There are so many massage places in Asheville, but I feel really blessed I found Massage on Wheels. read more

do not give this place your business!! my husband and i scheduled 2 in-home massages and later in the evening found out that he had been exposed to covid. we did the right thing and cancelled our appointments so we didnt expose the therapist to the visur. the owner called me and told me she was charging me a $25 per visit fee for last minute cancellation or a $100 for a cancellation. this is unacceptable in this crisis that we are going thru to be charged for doing the responsible thing! shame on her and shame on this business. please give your hard earned dollars to a business that isnt just about the money!!$$$$ read more

Alyssa is awesome! I am a massage connoisseur and Alyssa knocked it out of the park. I called her for a couple's massage for me and my girlfriend and she was able to come the same evening. All of her communication was excellent, she arrived on time and catered both massages to our individual needs. My GF had only ever had one massage before and she felt worse afterwards so she was nervous. I told Alyssa that and she made sure to talk through every part of the massage ahead of time keeping the lines of communication open to alleviate any anxiety. Alyssa was super accommodating, driving 30 miles outside of Asheville to visit our cabin in Clyde. She was prompt and punctual in her arrival, which was awesome because I was so looking forward to my massage. During the massage, she was communicative - making sure to check in with me as to what was helpful, how I was feeling, and elaborating on the goals of particular approaches she wanted to try. While some may prefer silence during their massage, I did appreciate that she was communicating with me, because I had lots of problem areas that needed intense work. It helped that she elaborated on what she was feeling in my muscles and what could be done to work out those problem areas. Her rates are very competitive relative to the service you receive. My girlfriend and I were both extremely satisfied with our massages, and when we come back to Asheville, we will utilize her services again! read more

My massage therapist, Alyssa, was very well trained in several massage specialties. I had major neck and back pain/tightness stemming from a car accident years ago. Alyssa suggested a combination of deep tissue and Thai massage. My goodness was that the ticket to relieve the tightness and pain. She listens to the client and makes suggestions if she feels something may benefit the client. I have been unable to find anyone in the Denver area that is comparable to Alyssa. Best massage I've had in a loooong time! Alyssa arrived right on time and provided everything needed for the massage- the table, sheets, blankets, even a warming cushion for the massage table! The massage itself was incredible. She provided just what I needed- a combination of deep tissue massage mixed with some deep stretching.
