What an absolute JOKE of a business. The owner, Brady is easily one of the WORST communicators…read moreyou'll ever work with and the only thing you can rely on him for is to waste your time and lower your credit. He had me waiting to see if I was approved for a mortgage loan for almost a month ... and he still wouldn't return my phone calls or emails, or let me know if I was approved for the loan or not. Do yourself a favor and go with a national mortgage company like Better Mortgage. They had an answer for me the same day I applied and they were unbelievably professional and helpful.

We had a great 30-year rate already, but we wanted to take advantage of the low rates. I called and checked online with 7 different mortgage companies and I'm so thankful we chose First Class Mortgage. Not only did they offer the best rate and lowest closing costs of the other companies, but they offered assurance that if the loan process took longer than expected (which is common with the low interest rates right now), they would take care of it and we wouldn't have to pay extra to continue locking in the rate. This was something none of the other companies were willing to do. Thankfully, their team processed our loan as quickly as possible. They made the process so very simple; we were able to do everything except the closing (which was also perfect) in person. They were clear about everything from the beginning and answered every question we had. They communicated with us every step of the way so that there were no surprises. To top it all off, despite telling us our rate would be locked in and couldn't be reduced, their team was able to get our rate down from 2.375% to 2.25%! WOW! Thanks to them, we are paying almost the same monthly amount...but will pay it off 7 years earlier! We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done. Thank you to Brady, Lisa, Nate, and Austin for a FIRST CLASS experience in every possible way. We are very excited about the money we'll save over the next 15 years. :)

I was assisting my father with getting his address changed, getting a copy of a statement he had not received & renewing a CD that had matured that day. The teller said we had to make an appointment with a banker to renew the CD & that the soonest appointment was in an hour & 10 minutes. We decided to take that appointment & wait in the lobby. The lobby has exactly 2 chairs, so it's SRO for most of the people waiting to see a banker. (Thankfully a woman gave up her chair for my Dad.) The bankers' office walls that face the lobby are floor to ceiling glass, such that it is easy to see what is going on in each office. In one of the offices a woman sat at her desk intently scrolling her phone. In another, 2 women were chatting, obviously not about business because we could easily hear them from where we were. After we waited an hour and 20 minutes, my Dad's frustration led him to return to the teller to complain. Only then did anyone else pay attention to him & tell him he could see a banker now. My Dad pulled his money from his Blaze accounts & closed them due to how he felt he was treated. If you are looking for a credit union for your banking, I'd suggest you avoid Blaze.

I would never do business with this company again…read more I came to Guardian to refinance a condo that I own in Minneapolis. I began the refinance process in April and was supposed to close within 90 days. I left my rate "floating" because I would have needed a relatively long lock to get me through the estimated closing date. My loan officer, who I had worked with from the start of my application, told me that he was going to lock my loan as soon as my conditions for closing were cleared. Apparently, sometime in May, the loan officer I had been working with was fired or quit. I never received an e-mail or a call letting me know that my loan officer, who I had been discussing locking with, was no longer with the company. Moreover, no one ever contacted me to tell me, that rates were starting to go up. In fact, I did not hear from anyone until I realized that a significant amount of time had passed and e-mailed the processor to find out when I could expect to close. The processor then referred me to someone to "discuss my lock options." Clearly, she realized the ball had been dropped and sent me to the branch manager to clean things up. Instead of being apologetic, or even polite, I got a series of one sentence e-mails from the manager that, in short, told me that it was my fault for not contacting the company to lock my rate. She further told me that, not only were rates higher, they could no longer offer me the same terms that I had been looking for all along. I used to be a loan officer, and I understand how the business works. I understand that rates change and no one has a crystal ball. But I do not understand how a company can fire one of its loan officers (or they quit) and then the company does not even bother to contact the loan officer's customers to make sure that the customer's loan is progressing properly. Perhaps it would make sense to assign a new loan officer to the file and contact the borrower if rates start to climb. But that's just me. I also do not understand how the manager then feels it is appropriate to not only not apologize or make any attempt to make the customer happy (I mean, not even a "we'll waive one or our numerous $300 fees") but to tell the customer that it is the customer's fault because "she would never recommend floating a rate." Bottom line, there are a lot of mortgage companies out there. Choose one that treats its customers better.
