We had a great 30-year rate already, but we wanted to take advantage of the low rates. I called and checked online with 7 different mortgage companies and I'm so thankful we chose First Class Mortgage. Not only did they offer the best rate and lowest closing costs of the other companies, but they offered assurance that if the loan process took longer than expected (which is common with the low interest rates right now), they would take care of it and we wouldn't have to pay extra to continue locking in the rate. This was something none of the other companies were willing to do. Thankfully, their team processed our loan as quickly as possible. They made the process so very simple; we were able to do everything except the closing (which was also perfect) in person. They were clear about everything from the beginning and answered every question we had. They communicated with us every step of the way so that there were no surprises. To top it all off, despite telling us our rate would be locked in and couldn't be reduced, their team was able to get our rate down from 2.375% to 2.25%! WOW! Thanks to them, we are paying almost the same monthly amount...but will pay it off 7 years earlier! We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done. My husband and I have been trying to refi our house with Wells Fargo! We had a 15 year mortgage…read moreand simply wanted to change back to a 30 year mortgage and pay off some debt and cut our expenses. We already had a home loan with WF and thought it would be easy just staying with a company we were complacent with. We started the paperwork in midNovember and by the end of December we were no further than when we started. The loan terms were not very good, we were only offered a conventional loan, we were not going to be able to pay off the debt we really needed , the appraisal came in lower than the one in 2016, and they were never satisfied and constantly asked for more paperwork. Fast forward to a post I saw on a friend's Facebook regarding what an amazing job a loan officer named Ryan Jorgensen did with their refi, it was fast and seamless. We had already paid $500 up front for a bogus appraisal and really couldn't Ford upfront fees for another loan company that may just do the same thing we experience from Wells Fargo. After the final straw on December 27th I contacted Ryan, a few days later he got us a VA loan, with a great rate. A week later, we were approved with underwriting, our appraisal with the VA was $17,000 more than the bogust one with Wells Fargo. Plus, we can take out enough money to pay a very large chunk of debt, our monthly mortgage will be significantly lower than what it was with Wells Fargo and he's just been an all-around great guy.
