The apartment is spacious and has many amenities that I really enjoy and the location works well since it is right by the Merrit Parkway. I continue to value the time spent here and often recommend it to other friends who have been looking for a new apartment with a lot of amenities already at the location, including a convenience mart, liquor store, pool, gym, pavilion, doggie park, basketball court, ample parking, and a beautifully maintained grounds.

I can say, they maintain the property and apartments very well. At my complex, Monday through Friday, EVERY morning I see the maintenance guy walking the property with a pail, picking up any debris, trash along and cigarette butts with checking every hallway. I have only called for maintenance service 5-6 times, but the process was easy and the response is timely. I was charged $25 when I locked myself out of my apartment, while not happy, it is fair. All in all, I can say I am happy and plan to stay here a long time. Pro: Quiet, dumpsters emptied regularly* and the exterior and interior areas are kept very clean. Con: Could use more visitor parking. *This is important to me, I have lived at complexes where the dumpster is not emptied enough. Disgusting when they are overfilled.

All of that aside the Flats is a good place to live for a couple or if you're a single person who can afford the rent it's nice. Especially since heat, hot water and electric are all included in the rent (which is pricey). Above all this you lace has been good to me and I've never seen or heard of any cockroaches or bedbugs around here. Thank God or I would've moved out immediately! The office staff is also nice and helpful.

This lead to the property management company charging for an additional month of rent, even though he had exited the unit. He was held responsible and charged for damage that the previous property management company caused. They seem more focused on landlords and they don't treat tenants fairly. I definitely wouldn't recommend them to tenants.

I found my experience from beginning to end to be above and beyond any rental experience I've had. Diana in management was professional, friendly and answered any concerns I had about the rental. I was presented with an immaculate apartment with BRAND NEW APPLIANCES, a fully screened in balcony overlooking a treed courtyard with a running brook (my cat enjoys this spot immencely) . It appears that the maintenance crew also goes above and beyond to keep the premises in clean and decent operating order. Tommy who is the "super" was at my beckon call when I first moved in...my concerns were tended to Immediately. He along with his crew are friendly and take pride in what they do. Any tenant that I've chanced upon have been friendly and respectful. The most important factor in renting here (for me) is that it is "NOISELESS" above you....below you and on either side of you. I will close with saying I am fortunate to be leasing here.

They either do not respond at all, or they slap a bandaid on a massive problem and call it fixed. The latest saga is pictured below, our upstairs neighbors flooded our unit with piss water and the office/maintenance team has done NOTHING about it for days. We were promised someone would be by to look at it today, and unsurprisingly, nobody came. Our AC unit is broken and our apartment reeks of piss. It's absolutely disgusting. We thought we lucked out with this apartment complex because it's deceptively presented as nice, but we were incredibly wrong. The most upsetting part of all of this, is that we're not even in the unit we were promised originally. Two/three days before moving in, in the middle of a cross country drive from California, we got a call saying our top story unit (that was supposedly available a month prior when we signed the lease) was suddenly not available. They said we could take another unit, or we were out of luck. If we had gotten the unit we originally signed a lease for, we wouldn't be in this situation right now. A good summary of how they handle maintenance here is that, when we moved in, we noticed almost all of the nails in the carpet were sticking up and pricking/stabbing us while we walked. When maintenance FINALLY showed up, the told us "oh just hit them with a hammer yourselves". DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS COMPLEX.

From May 31, 2024- June 11, 2024; I have called the office number (203-237-5397 ext.1) of which is listed on the advertisement. I have left voicemails to this office with no return phone call. Per their telephone prompt, Silver City Properties is open M-F 9a-5p. I have left voicemails at all times of the day because whenever I have reached out via ext.1; I am sent straight to voicemail. On June 10th via email (Zillow Messenger) stating the property was still available, and to reach out to the same office I have left several phone calls with. Two different addresses are associated with Silver City Properties (one being an unmarked business location in Wallingford, CT and another in Meriden, CT on Grove Street). The location on Grove Street has the front door is locked at all times per the sign. The building may sell firearms and can provide Bails Bond services. Reviews left by Tyler K. and Corrine V. may want to be considered with a grain of salt given that each review is 4 years old. A current google review from 3 months ago (March 2024) may accurately reflect Silver City Properties current business practices. The review stated when actually renting a property was "Please rent at your own risk".
