I believe the sole purpose of parks like this is to improve a child's socialization skills. As you can see from the pictures, the equipment wasn't your regular sliding board, seesaw, or swing set. The colors and the shapes of these items are to capture the child's eyes and lead to interaction. I don't know if I got any pictures, but musical instruments were place in the play area for the free spirit child. Also, there is a child museum on the grounds, which we didn't get a chance to visit, but the children had fun, and that was the goal.

Our Game Master was AWESOME and really tried to give us the time and space to figure out the clues but she helped us when we were utterly confused at one point. I loved it! Definitely recommend!

How could I resist the opportunity to climb up and get a look at the vicinity? The tower does have a lock on it, but in late afternoon it was open for tourists and so I made my way to the top. (Elevator appeared to be out of service.) There's a super view to the East and South from up here and since it was a clear day, I could literally see for miles and miles. The view to the West, which is where you might see Jackson MS, is blocked by mountain (hill?) and trees. A neat stop to stretch legs. I did not see any bathroom services here by the tower, but there's a gas station across the way.

We were delighted to find this well-kept park not far from the highway. There are two expansive, fenced areas for small dogs and large dogs. Each area has benches and even a picnic table for humans. For the canines, there are trees and plenty of shade. A huge bonus for us was that both times we visited, the park was completely empty! Not another dog in sight. I know some people go to dog parks for socialization, but our dog prefers to play by herself, so this was a big win for us. It's surprising it is not used more given how clean and beautiful it is. Also, the park wasn't littered with old balls and toys like our dog parks at home are, which was refreshing. It really felt like we were just in a big, fenced, grassy area! I don't recall seeing a water fountain or water bowl for the dogs, which is the only reason I'm not giving this park five stars. This part is adjacent to an RV park and there was a connection for water across the street, but we didn't try to use it to give our doggo any drinking water. On hot days, hydration is must for dogs! Make sure to BYO water and bowl. Overall two thumbs up, highly recommend, and if we pass through with our dog again we'll be sure to stop by.
