I have never done an escape room before but I was super excited to try one with some co-residents. Let's just say, this will definitely not be my last time. I didn't book the times but my friend said it was very easy. We were immediately greeted when we walked in. They had a little mini fridge with beverages (alcoholic and non) which was a nice touch. We chose Trapped in the 80s and dressed accordingly. Let me tell you that it was definitely challenging but we were able to escape with minutes to spare! Our Game Master was AWESOME and really tried to give us the time and space to figure out the clues but she helped us when we were utterly confused at one point. I loved it! WE HAD A BLAST! We did both the cabin and prison escape and they were both very fun. Prison was great as everything tied in together nicely and had a couple of things I have never seen before in an escape room before, and I've done many! We escaped with just over 15 minuets left on the clock. The cabin was a bit more challenging, but still extremely fun. The concept was original and exciting. The games themselves are top notch always including hands-on escape activities complete with moving objects, walls, and escape routes. I did the prison escape room with a group of 8 I think, and I had a really awesome time! I liked the clues, there was a little bit of action with moving parts and things like that, and it was overall really enjoyable. We technically ran out of time, but we opened the door before the warden was all the way down the hall so.... I'm gonna call it a win:) would recommend, will probably be back to try out their Lost Cabin room, and then whenever they get the cemetery up and running I will definitely go. read more

I had heard great things about 601 Escape Rooms so it was soothing when my daughter decided she wanted to go there after our plans to go to Baton Rogue for her Sweet 16 were cancelled due to Tropical Storm Barry. She was going to cancel the weekend all together but we have been able to find things to do and she's been cool. We elected to book an escape room for 12 PM. I was called and told I would have to change the time of my booking. Another group of 20 had attempted to book the entire building (via the phone) and although they already had two of their desired rooms booked they were "getting ready" to reserve the room I had "ALREADY BOOKED." The manager offered another time but I explained the 12 time that was already booked BY ME was the only feasible time for us. I was then pretty much told I had two options get a refund or choose another time. I asked why couldn't the other party get extended this same offer and was given no answer. She kept apologizing. She offered to have the owner call me. About 15 minutes went by and the owner hadn't called, so I called back. It was 1045 AM and we had to be there at 1145. I was hopeful that after talking to the owner she would understand, we would be able to keep the room and all would be right with the world....that was NOT the case. The manager was very rude and kept cutting me off. She even asked me "What do you want me to do? I mean I can't have two parties in the same room." I explained to her that what I would have wanted was for her to ask the other people to change their times or change their room since the room they are desiring is ALREADY booked. She stated she could understand my frustration IF I had booked the room waaaay in advance. But yet I booked the room in advance of the people you are telling me you are canceling my reservation for!!! Her response We will refund you your money. So now my child and her guests are disappointed, I'm looking around for something else to do for my child. Apparently making more money was the only thing that mattered to this owner. ‍ read more

I love escape rooms! We have been the last two weekends, and I really enjoyed it here. I've been to several rooms in a few different cities. The first room we did was good but not great. The second room was awesome (Lost Cabin)! Lost Cabin might be one of my favorite rooms. Both times we had Brianna as our gamemaster. She's fantastic; she didn't give hints out easily, which I think is good, because it's supposed to be challenging. She was helpful, though. Can't wait to go back and do another room. read more

I have done 6 or 7 escape rooms in the past few years. This was one of the good ones. We did the prison escape room (I forget the name), and we were successful. There were only three of us, which I think was a good thing, because the room was very linear. That's not a bad thing, not at all. However, I think that if we had had a larger group there would have been some people standing around waiting for something to happen. For three people, it was perfect though. We really enjoyed ourselves! The girl running the show was VERY polite and VERY friendly. We ended up chatting with her for a while after we escaped. All in all, a very good experience, and worth your time if you like escape rooms! read more

Each and every time we've visited this place, we are welcomed like family. We had so much fun in the Cabin, we decided to bring our children to the Teddy Bear room! The ONLY issue we had was that the internet was down, but it was totally okay because our game master, Anna, sat in the room with our boys and gave them their clues directly. While there, we were escorted to a room where we could watch them on TV where they offered us drinks, checked on us on a regular, and kept us comfy. I love this place. My family and I love escape rooms! Together, we have done a half-dozen or so, and we always enjoy the challenge of entering a new one. Having decided to spend a weekend in Jackson, we started our vacation with a reservation for the Haunted Cabin room. I mean, who didn't watch Evil Dead and think, "Yup, that seems like a good time"?!? And so, in we went: two 40-year-old parents and our 16-year-old and 9-year-old daughters. Let me start by saying that the staff here are particularly friendly. While most rooms we've done in the past are usually explained by a prerecorded video that leaves the employees as little more than ushers, 601 uses their employees as hosts, providing insight, introduction to the game and even beverages. Speaking of beverages, they have alcohol. Speaking of alcohol, you can bring it in the game room with you. Yes, I know. Getting locked in a room in always better with alcohol. Indiana Jones might not have cared about the snakes as much if he had a beer or two with him. Just sayin. Now, I know your real concern here is this: Were the rooms any good? Well, we were so impressed with the Haunted Cabin that we booked the Prison for the next day. Won both, but just barely. Definitely not easy rooms. We will return to take on the harder rooms. read more

My friends and I had a great experience at the 601 Escape Rooms. It's a very easy location to find off of State St. in Jackson, Ms. The employees were very respectful of everyone's time. I can't give away any spoilers but the rooms I've played there are very well put together.
