There is a small outdoor area (decking) for the warmer months, pool table, darts, and cheap melas on offer. It was also recently licensed for late drinking hours but to the relief of nearby residets this has now been revoked. It also has a large screen for the big sporting events. However this pub sometimes seems to suffer from the wrong customers.

Over the years this pub has suffered along with a number in the area and in nowhere as busy as it used to be, especially at weekends. No private car park but there is nearby parking available in the town. The venue itself is clean as are the toilet facilities.

However, I was appalled that several ruffians were in attendance, two with young bairns in tow one of whom was the spit of Mick Hucknall not a good look I'm sure you'll agree. Imagine the abuse he'll get in later life. One or two of them could sup, though, which is to their credit and would have bumped the rating up by half a point if such a thing were possible. It isn't.
