Comfy decor with a few local ales provided by friendly staff. Staff might be a bit too trusting however as when I was there someone walked out without paying!

This pub is more popular with the…read moreolder generation, and it's local customers.There is a good sized dancefloor with a D.J at the weekends and lots of seating providing enough space for all. Over the years this pub has suffered along with a number in the area and in nowhere as busy as it used to be, especially at weekends. No private car park but there is nearby parking available in the town. The venue itself is clean as are the toilet facilities.

However, I was appalled that several ruffians were in attendance, two with young bairns in tow one of whom was the spit of Mick Hucknall not a good look I'm sure you'll agree. Imagine the abuse he'll get in later life. One or two of them could sup, though, which is to their credit and would have bumped the rating up by half a point if such a thing were possible. It isn't.
