Upon entering G bar any reservations I may have had dissappeared as it was clear that rather than being about sexuality this place was all about an amazing clubbing experience. The drinks may not be cheap in G bar but you get the feeling that these prices help to pay for all the other careful preparation which goes into the set up of the place. From decoration to Djs it is clear that the people behind G bar put alot of time money and effort into what they do and all of this enhances your night out. My only qualms with G bar would be the music which is far too dance orientated for my taste and can be a bit repetitive, however this is just me being picky. On the whole good club and a good night out whenever I have visited.

It has become increasingly popular, especially since the closure of some big names in Liverpool's gay town. G-Bar is situated on Eberle Street right opposite Garlands', which leads to a very crowded outside, which somtimes has more atmosphere than inside! . So to the music, Gbar offers a wide variety of music; to suit everyone's musical taste. It is open 5 nights a week and just like Garlands, Gbar welcomes all types of people, although it is advertised as gay friendly, it is very popular with straight people alike. G-Bar plays host to some of the city's best DJ's and without doubt it has become one of the best afterhours club in Liverpool. Some nights are free entry but watch out because popularly nights can cost up to £7!

Little things can mean a lot and this was certainly one such occasion. Thanks AXM, we all had a fantastic time with my personal highlight being the slow dance I had with a lady called John who had suspiciously large hands! Will in accordance with the doorman's advice next time- and there WILL be a next time!

Hmph! I was spurned here!…read more I took a stranger to a symphony concert, one I was looking forward to for months, because my friend flaked just an hour before because he forgot he had to star in a French play that night. The stranger oddly enough played bassoon in orchestras, and was a DJ. His name was ... something like Kieran but without all the vowels. Not Kyan. Ah, I blocked it out. Anyway, he told me to stop by his Saturday night DJ gig, so I did. It was full of 17 year-old girls and their not-yet-out boyfriends. K__ played "Brown Eyed Girl" (the *other* popular song that year, along with "Can't Get You Out of My Head") like a million times, so I left after a half hour. We did the little macho fist bump too. Then when I emailed him to go hang out, he gave the whole, "Not looking for more friends in my life," schtick. Dude. Like I even asked to be all attached to your hip, Krygyzstan.

Yes, I have every right to agree with this fact considering I live in a converted hospital. Hey. It wasn't a hospital for a long time before I lived here, and besides, my building is an extension. So there. No morgue ghosts come a'hauntin' me in the wee small hours. I don't think... Immediately you feel welcomed upon entry into this pub, whether it's the friendly staff or the warm ambience or a combination of both, it's homely and it's comfortable. It's tiny too and bursting with life, its colourful nature no doubt down to the fact that it lives in the heart of Liverpool's gay quarter, and with a few real ales on tap I didn't need convincing to stay. Not that I actually drink all real ales, only the fruity ones, but I appreciate their existence. They give a pub character. £1.50 for a treble spirit means you're likely to become a little bleary-eyed if you like to drink shorts, but it's the best kind of place to get bleary-eyed in. Everyone's a shiny happy person, not in an ironic way, people strike up conversations with total strangers because it's just that kind of place, and I've never encountered any animosity in here whatsoever. It's just adorable.
