HealthQuest Fitness - Flemington, NJ Review: To start, yes…read more-- this place is on the pricier side. I'd recommend it only if you plan on actually using all the amenities; otherwise, something more basic like Planet Fitness would cost less and get the job done. The gym has a great floor layout overall, almost like a more upgraded version of a YMCA. There's also a large, deep pool (about 6 ft), which is a nice perk if you enjoy swimming. But what I appreciated most was the bathroom setup, which felt genuinely thoughtful and well-stocked. Inside the bathrooms, you'll find: Towels provided Mouthwash Lotion Hair dryers Sauna Steam room Multiple vanity areas A small sit-down lounge area All the facilities I checked out were very clean, and you can tell they put effort into maintaining the space.

I really like it here, although it's pricey. Everyone is kind and respectful and there's lots to…read moredo, and the food court is also very good (also super expensive). EDIT: I wanted to bring my boyfriend but we're only allowed ONE guest pass per month, okay fine, but I had no idea a DAY PASS WAS 30 DOLLARS which is actually a bit insane, especially because we couldn't stay that long. Next time we'll just go to his gym if we're going together. Also I feel like they should have hair ties in the girls bathroom and feminine hygiene products, not necessary but I feel like it would be nice to have.

The bathrooms were okay but I don't like it when they don't have a room for you to change . I had casual cloths with me and had to place on the floor after shower. I pieced together my own training plan and was happy with how I did. However, when I met Nick and started training for my second half marathon, I realized that I had gone about my first half marathon training all wrong. With his help, I was able to cut my time by 8 minutes and beat my goal time! I also PRed in my 10K and 5K races (shaving 2 minutes off my previous fastest 5K) and ran my fastest mile EVER (like faster than I was in high school)! The things I like best about training with Nick are that I'm accountable to someone else (which helps motivate me when I may not want to get out there), I don't have to think about my training program in advance- I can just go and do what I'm told to do, and that I have access to someone who is incredibly knowledgable about physiology, endurance training, and the mental side of racing. He has helped me recover from injury, improve my times, set ambitious new goals, expose me to other sport options, and meet a great group of people through Team P3.

P3 Fitness is great! Nick just wrapped up his weekly track workouts for this season and I look…read moreforward to them starting back up in the Spring. Nick is super knowledgeable and has a well rounded knowledge of fitness as it applies to multiple sports (running, cycling, etc.). He is also overall fun to be around which is important when looking for a coach/trainer. Nick spends time understanding your needs as an athlete and adjusts accordingly. It's certainly not a one size fits all approach. His group training sessions feel inclusive and are relevant to all levels of athletic ability. They are certainly challenging but that's why you're there! During the workout, he checks-in regularly and gets feedback on how you're feeling and may make adjustments (e.g. increase or decrease intensity). I've also participated in two of his running clinics and have seen significant improvement in my running both in terms of pace but more importantly the technical and body mechanics. Bottom line - If you're looking to take that next step toward your athletic goals P3 Fitness is the way to go!
