ASDC CrossFit Gym in Flemington, New Jersey gave me exactly what I've been searching for. This year I decided to not wait until New Years with my resolution, in fact, I figure I would beat the turkey as well. To give you some background I've always enjoyed working out but the problem is when you stop, you just have a hard time getting back into it. I recently suffered an injury and as I came out of physical therapy was looking for something that I could work back into with the proper guidance. I thought personal trainer at a regular gym... Maybe. Then a friend of mine asked if I ever tried CrossFit. I must say between the facility and more importantly the staff ASDC CrossFit Gym in Flemington couldn't be a better fit. In addition to the state of the art facility, which they absolutely have, the most important part of any gym is the staff, the people who are pushing you to be better. I've been coming to ASDC for a few months now since moving to the area. I had previously gone to Guerilla Montclair and Crossfit 908 in Berkeley Heights. For me, I am enjoying ASDC a touch more than Guerilla and a lot more than 908. The programming is challenging and varied. The atmosphere is friendly and encouraging. But most importantly, the coaching is great. For me this is key and I haven't seen one weak link in the coaching staff. I get a lot of unsolicited feedback & encouragement and I don't have to chase down the coach for feedback. They are attentive throughout the class and not busy chit-chatting on the sidelines to folks not in the class. They also bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm and don't seem bored or burnt out. And they are very helpful in selecting scaling options and demoing movements. I would recommend this gym to anyone without one single reservation. I researched all the gyms in this area before joining and definitely feel like I made the right choice picking ASDC. And with the upcoming move to a bigger space, I imagine it is only going to get better. read more

After doing CrossFit for 5 years, I've worked out at 5 different gyms in 3 different states, I can honestly say ASDC comes out on top of any of the gyms I had gone to. Brian's programming is very well thought out, creative and challenging. While most gyms throw up a WOD and coaches just say we're going in 20 minutes be ready, Brian programs a workout specific warm up, and each coach takes the time to go through the warm up and workout. After dislocating my kneecap snowboarding, Brian worked one on one with me and made workouts specific to me and my injury. While ASDC is small, the gym is the cleanest I have ever been to. You won't find any gross chalk covered corners that have been there untouched for years, and while each work out might leave quite a bit of sweat on the mats and equipment ..... all will be cleaned up at the end of each workout. Brian also goes the extra mile to only put quality equipment in his gym and at ASDC you won't find any homemade contraptions that might give out mid workout. read more

This is definitely one of my most favorite places period! The coaches and everyone working out there are always super friendly, caring, and helpful. Plus the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and hysterical (Brian, Marcin & Steve). The attention paid to the programming means you are never bored or doing the same workout all the time. You will be challenged and seriously impressed with the gains you will make. Your fitness level doesn't matter, they can modify for injuries or illness (trust me I know first hand). They also keep the equipment in excellent condition and keep the space clean. I also always see them investing in new equipment. ASDC is the best in so many ways. I found such a welcoming, encouraging, friendly and non-intimidating atmosphere from the moment I called Brian on the phone to inquire about the gym. The coaches are all fabulous.......knowledgeable, encouraging, and they really get to know you and your personal ability so you get a challenging workout every time to your best ability. (It's almost like having a personal trainer!) The gym is kept super clean and the equipment is all top notch. The workouts are always varied and well thought out. The reason why I love this box is because I am by no means a crazy fit Crossfit athlete who can do all the prescribed workouts, but these coaches care about their athletes so they make sure to scale the WOD for me. This means that I get a great workout without injuring myself and can one day progress to the point where I will be in that kind of awesome Crossfit shape. At the same time, there are plenty of hardcore Crossfitters who can be challenged to set new PRs by these coaches. ASDC is hands down the best Crossfit gym in the area! Always clean, experienced and motivating instructors, VERY fairly priced(no requirement to waste money or time on watered down "on-ramp" classes other Crossfit gyms make you take), constantly varied and never boring workout programming, and fantastically spaced class hours all time of day to accommodate any work/personal schedule! Some of the most humble coaches I've ever met. Great at motivating others and myself through the workouts. I tried CrossFit a few times at different gyms and wasn't ever thrilled with the workouts. Friend of mine told me to try a class with Brian and it was well worth it. After the first class, i signed up for my second free class and enjoyed it more than the first. ASDC is clean, has top notch equipment, friendly members, great coaches, and most importantly superb programming. I really love the atmosphere here. Everybody is helpful and friendly. No weird competition. Real camaraderie. The coaches truly care about the students, are super knowledgeable and never pressure you to do something you're not comfortable with. Yes, they'll push you to your limits (if you want to!), but can always scale to your abilities and restrictions, if necessary. Plus, the gym is spacious and clean, has great equipment and awesome coaches. High integrity here too! read more

I have been working out here for a couple of years, and the place just gets better and better. This place is always kept clean, it is bright and conducive to a great workout. The coaches take their time and explain the workouts and guide you through every step of the way. Coaches Brian and Marcin are great! All of the coaches have been great at this wonderful gym. I am 5 months into a post injury CrossFit regime. All of the coaches at ASDC are certified and qualified and are very aware of each athlete's capabilities and limitations. Best gym experience I've ever had. Brian and his team are so knowledgeable and really care about each and every athlete. Especially the beginners and those with injuries. Working out is not my most favorite thing to do. Since I've started working with Brian and his team my attitude toward fitness has changed. If you want to get in shape and healthy, this is THE ONLY place to join! Now in my mid 40's, I had never consistently worked out...I've been here consistently for 2 years!
