Here I am writing a glowing review of a... frame shop? Alas I am! In the week leading up to…read moreChristmas, I called multiple frame shops (some of whom had done work for me in the past) to have two painted canvases stretched. When I compared quotes, Impulse was the most inexpensive by SEVERAL hundreds of dollars. Impulse also quoted an extremely short turnaround time compared to others (literal days vs. weeks and months), which I frankly thought was overly ambitious and probably too good to be true. Nevertheless, I delivered my canvases to their store on Tuesday afternoon and to my absolute shock and delight, I received a call late Thursday morning informing me that my work had been completed. Reader, that was a TWO DAY TURNAROUND. And how was the work? INCREDIBLE. The service? EXPERT. The in-store selection of framing options? VAST. Will I absolutlely be doing business again with Impulse? WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Sorry Paul. I am going to post the same words I said to you today. Paul takes things (pictures, Collectibles, special items, unusual and precious items) and creates art. Paul has framed just about everything we have in our home. He really is a gifted artist and a hell of a great guy. Thank you

Therefore, I needed someone to match the color and font on two stockings with the new grandkids' names. I spoke to several embroidery houses in town and no one would take my order, as they were afraid they could not deliver a good match and would ruin my last two stockings in a matched set. I visited with Kim and she told me to bring her one of the existing stockings and she would make a few "test" runs on scrap material to see if it was possible to duplicate the color and font. She could not have been more wonderful to work with. She completed the order and I cannot tell the newly embroidered stockings from the original set. She was a dream to work with and I highly recommend her, and her team, for any project you may have. Thank you Kim!!!!! Dawn W.

If you're looking for a fun, relaxing workshop led by a kind and patient quilting instructor, this…read morewas unfortunately not our experience. I purchased a pillow-making workshop for my adult daughter and me, expecting an enjoyable afternoon together and, hopefully, a couple of nice pillows to take home. Instead, neither of us enjoyed the experience, and we left without usable pillows. From early in the workshop, I found Brea, the owner and instructor, to be impatient and unnecessarily harsh. At first, I tried to brush it off as simply a somewhat "spicy" teaching style. But the atmosphere became increasingly tense and uncomfortable. When my daughter became so upset that she hurried to the bathroom in tears, I could no longer overlook what was happening and told her that we were leaving. Rather than trying to understand or de-escalate the situation, Brea became confrontational with me in front of the class. She responded with sarcasm and mockery and challenged my concerns publicly. I was especially disappointed by what felt like an unwillingness to acknowledge mistakes or take any responsibility for how the interaction had unfolded. People take creative workshops to learn, but also to enjoy themselves. Mistakes and questions should be expected, particularly when people are learning a skill. We did not expect perfection or special treatment--just patience, basic kindness, and respectful instruction. Sadly, that was not our experience. What was intended to be a fun mother-daughter outing ended with my daughter in tears and both of us leaving early. I would not return or recommend this workshop based on our experience.

My experience: I reached out to this company because I was ready to install new countertops in my…read morekitchen, guest and master bath. I was very pleased with the initial conversation of how knowledgeable and professional the sales manager, Crystal, was when I first reached out. I was later passed to Graham as my sales representative. He and I initial conversations were also good and I was pleased, comfortable and confident that I made the right choice to move forward them. Well, that has changed now. This is my first major project in my home so I am very new to the process, however;  I am not new to what good customer service should look like. I feel like as a customer that there should be a great vibe throughout the process (beginning, middle and end). There has been three occasions that I have been let down and there has been no update, that is until I reach out. As a customer, I should not feel like I'm chasing to give you my business and that's how Graham made me feel because he has dropped the ball on three occasions where I feel he should have been updating me and not me having to chase him down for a reply/update. I explained to him my expectations during the consultation to how soon I needed this project done. I know things happen that are out of ones control, however; I feel those things should be communicated as well. I had to pop up to their location because he wasn't responding. Lastly, he then never confirmed the date (I had to reach out) and now I find out the install is being delayed when I was told by him it should start as early as 8a-8:30a during the consultation and will be an all day install that should wrap up around 3p and that I can hire a plumber to connect my plumbing later that evening around 7p to be safe, which I did. Received an email yesterday from Laura (install coordinator) to confirm the date of the install, that I have power and that it's safe for the install team, but no one ever provided me a confirmed ETA of the install team. When I emailed Laura and also text Graham today regarding the ETA because I'd been up waiting since 8a, I find out that the install team won't arrive until 11a-12p because they had to finish up a job they didn't finish the night before. I was not pleased with this as I had planned for my day to go accordingly with other items I had planned to take care of, plus the fact I missed work that morning. A phone call/text to update me yesterday of the ETA of the install would have been a sufficient courtesy so I can adjust my day. They didn't arrive until 1:50p to begin the install. The work they did was great but the customer service from my sales rep was not on point throughout this process, which is why I'm rating 3 stars.
