I looked up the reviews for his suggestion and found no reviews for Mamma Mottis catering. I questioned him about it and he said to me that the leftover food he brought in for lunch was made by the chef of the Mamma Mottis. After tasting his lunch and then eating most of it (I'm his boss. I can do that), and loving it, I called. I spoke to Jess over the phone and explained that I was looking for Italian food. I'm from Philly and there is nothing here in Florida that compares to the NE for italian food. She told me she too was from the North East (Jersey) and that she found it few and far as well. After about a 30 minute NE reunion and order placing I ended up getting a ton of food and even on site frying of zeppoles, funnel cakes and deep fried oreos for dessert. As far as my review of the food goes I just want to say WOW. The eggplant rollatini and chicken marsala were simply the best I have ever had. No doubt, the best I have ever had. The penne alla vodka was the best I have had in Florida and I have eaten at many supposed high end Italian restaurants while here. The sauce was just fantastic. The sides of bruschetta, broccoli rabe and house salad were perfect also. Now let me get to the desserts that for the life of me I couldn't stop eating. The chef set up outside in my backyard because of it being deep fried treats. Not many outside of Philly or NewJersey know what a zeppole is. It can be best explained as a fried cloud of heaven with powdered sugar. And let me tell you, these were there at the pearly gates. 5 lbs heavier I moved in for the kill with the deep fried oreos. There go my triglycerides but I don't care. Nor did the birthday boy my dad. He said he felt like a kid again in the streets of Philly at a block party.
