We were fortunate to work with Cheryl for the second time in our life, she helped us find our first home, and now our second. It's been a few years in between but Cheryl has always kept in touch and has been a great resource to have in the South Orange County market. Our second time around was a bit more stressful as we jumped at an opportunity and needed to move our current home into escrow quickly. Cheryl understood the timetable and put in work to position us well for our home to sell. Believe it or not but, our home was listed and sold before the first open house - I cannot tell you how impressed we were with Cheryl's performance and results. However, I expected nothing less as she is a true professional dedicated to her craft and will no doubt do the same for you. Cheryl has a long establish reputation in the area and well networked with the local goings-on. She can help guide and advocate for you through the buying and selling process. We are incredibly pleased to work with and recommend her to you if you are buying or selling a home in the area. read more

Cheryl was great to work with. She helped us purchase two properties & sell one. Cheryl negotiated a significantly reduced price on our second purchase. She advised on updating and staging our home for sale. It attracted large crowds during the open house and received more than 15 offers. We received & accepted offers within 5 days of listing. We found Cheryl to also be well connected with lenders, escrow & title companies, which made everything smoother and faster. read more

Cheryl is SO much more than a realtor. She deeply cares about her clients while also ensuring she does business with integrity. She's a go getter and such a hard worker!! Added plus, the relationship with Cheryl doesn't end with a sale or a purchase; she builds a level of trust that allows you to lean on her for any and all real estate needs. if i could give zero stars i would. this woman is extremely rude and unprofessional. i will never give my business to her as she cannot do her job and gossips and misrepresents things. my family are so disappointed at the lack of care and professionalism by this woman and all she cares is herself and to end the sale to get her money quickly and doesn't care about anyone else. i will be contacting the board about her and just to show how ruthless she is she doesn't like having negative reviews as she tried to take mine off. doesn't realize that anyone can leave a review. People need to know about her and so they dont fall into a trap using her services read more

Cheryl Marquis was the seller's broker on a recent Home purchase we just closed escrow on. She did not represent us, but because of Cheryl, the transaction kept moving ahead and closed on time. Cheryl is a major real estate pro. She has decades of experience on both sides of real estate transactions and is an expert on all levels. She is well versed in the ever-changing California real estate laws and is well qualified on negotiations and getting the deal done. Cheryl has been incredible to work with. Cheryl is honest, experienced, knowledgable, and connected. I felt like I was working with a family member (who is also a realty badass). Cheryl spent countless hours helping my husband and I find the perfect home to start our family in. Cheryl walked us through every part of the process and made us feel confident, educated, and cared for. She advocated for our best interest with the sellers and escrow company. She also worked closely with our amazing lender to make sure we had everything we needed (and fast!). She makes realty magic happen! She got us in to see houses that we told her about last minute (unheard of!) and was an expert negotiator. She got us a fabulous deal on the home we purchased (in this insane market) and kept an eye on the escrow paperwork (which is not even part of her job!) to make sure that we weren't taken advantage of. During our walk throughs, she gave me design and renovation ideas as well. Once we got the house, she was still available to answer questions and provide guidance. She is passionate about realty, and most importantly, passionate about her clients. Her dedication and drive made the process so easy for us. She went above and beyond the call of duty to get us exactly what we wanted (and helped us with things we didn't even know we needed). If you need a stellar realtor, counselor, designer, and advocate... you need to work with Cheryl. My husband and I will never work with anyone but Cheryl. I will be recommending her to all my friends and family members. read more

Cheryl Marquis is the only realtor that I do business with. I have used her services to sell property, obtain property and even manage and find tenants for me. I am just coming off of a full year and a total of 5 real estate transactions where Cheryl was my agent. She has represented me and my family members now for the past 17 years. It has been a very busy year and involved a lot of work. I need to feel confident about working with someone who I can fully trust and goes above and beyond what any agent typically does. I am a busy single mom and Cheryl has handled getting estimates and lining up contractors, gardeners, painters, etc... for almost each of these 5 properties this past year. I trust her so much that I even had her represent me with one of the properties that was all the way up in Glendale. Cheryl has an amazing group of people working around her ....all the way from her escrow and title crew, her loan officer and even down to a list of referrals for every kind of skilled labor. One of the properties needed a full remodel before selling it. Cheryl had an entire list ready to go and put into place for all the needs involving a home remodel which was completed in under 8 weeks. She met with each of these individuals and got the bids for me. After the project was almost completed we had a episode of very hot weather one weekend, I happened to be busy but Cheryl and her husband Gary went to my property to water my new roses. This is just a small example of the kind of things that Cheryl does for her clients. Its always just amazing to me to experience how Cheryl is willing to help so much. Cheryl also has a very high moral ethic and yet a unique way of still taking charging and strongly representing her clients...not to mention a energy level that is like nothing you have seen. I was am not surprised to see so many 5 star reviews..this is what I would fully expect of anyone that Cheryl has ever represented. I did see one very poor rating and all I can say to that is.."I am confused and quite skeptical of anyone that would speak contrary to anything other then what I have experienced and others that I know.?" After so many transactions since 2000 I have a very hard time believing anything but "Stellar" as it pertains to Cheryl Marquis. You will not be disappointed!! read more

Cheryl Marquis is not someone I would recommend. There was a clear inability to"communicate" with her amongst other issues. We asked to rescind the listing agreement. She demanded to be paid for her expense and "then some" to cancel. I did not agree simply based on principle. Ultimately, I was forced to sign an agreement in order to remove her from the remainder of the initial listing agreement. That agreement required that I do not say anything disparaging about her or the broker during the listing. According to two neighbors, she was "rude & borderline disrespectful". I have spoken now to many other realtors and not one could believe that an agent would allow such a poor business relationship to force a client to remain when obviously there was no good that could evolve. In life, it's always about the money. read more
