The bar keep was a very friendly Scottish lady who made you feel at home! The beer was cold and reasonably priced. It's Folkstones oldest pub dating back to the 1400's. They weren't really my thing, but I'm glad we tried them. The food was hot, fresh, and overall really tasty. Everyone we met who worked there was very kind and welcoming, and they even offered guidance on local places to see during our trip. We are from the southern US, so I did catch a few locals staring as we talked, but I get it. I am interested in accents as well.

Permanent fixtures are the Belgium beers in bottle and the bar snacks, which included homemade scotch eggs and a little cheeseboard. This place is well worth a look if you find yourself thirsty in Folkestone.
