The stay was comfortable & quite personalised for some parts. The staff at this hotel, right from the front desk, to the cafeteria, bar, lounge, house keeping and to the managerial, all seem to follow the same style- smile, ask for the comfort of the guest, be prompt, punctual, hospitable. Some of the qualities less commonly seen these days, and well appreciated. The most notable part is the round the clock housekeeping facilities(which had its own gaps and short falls, but were quickly addressed), the ability to reach the front desk at any hour of the day/night and them promptly providing what's needed (really!, I was impressed by the turnaround time of - within minutes). Post Covid especially, during most of my travels (my schedule requires very frequent travelling), the responsiveness and turnaround times across staff and hotels has been dwindling. I was pleasantly surprised by a "different"experience at the hotel. I recommend to give Crowne Plaza London - Gatwick a try on your next visit in town.

Check in was very quick, which is nice because it took me 5 hours to get there. The room was very modern and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was in this cool, pod shaped structure. Meals are extra/not included in room price. There is also a full stocked bar. For dinner, I had the cheese and leak tart with a salad, which was delicious! A nice meal after a rough day. For breakfast, you have the option for continental or full breakfast (included continental). I opted for the full English. Lots of options to choose from: yogurts,fruit, pastries, fruit, sausage, bacon, hashbrown triangles, grilled mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea. Oil fired also restaurant attached to the hotel is as far as I'm concerned substandard I stayed for two nights using the meal deal and found the food in the evening. I produce better out of my microwave at home and the breakfast in the morning. I ordered a full English and it was barely cooked. This is not a hotel I will be staying in again.

Never knew that was even possible, but I guess certain countries aren't associated with Yelp. Either, I'm back in London, so I can start again! This is a pretty decent hotel located near the Gatwick airport, so if you're only staying in the Gatwick area, then this place is perfect. The rooms are huge and the price is lower. There is also a pool and a gym. What's weird is that the rooms don't have AC. There is a portable fan, and air comes out of the ventilation, but it's not really cool. Still, this is a pretty nice hotel, especially somewhat close to London. Overall, a big thumbs up from me!
