Nice little place with great food. This place has turned over a few times in the past few years, but maybe this one will stay. And if you like it, they have Mango Cart beer, too, on tap. Always nice to see new dining options in the LC Valley!! I will never understand why people like Laurie come here from Tacoma and expect anything other than Lewiston! Yes, you are an alien here!! I have enjoyed a few meals at Mango Tree since it opened. Have not been disappointed with the food, smells, or atmosphere one bit. Have not run into any "goth" employees, nor waited long periods of time to sit or for drinks to arrive. It has been busy on a couple occasions, thank you LC Valley for supporting this business owner who took a chance on our Valley to bring us new food!! read more

I ate here the first week they were open with my family. I literally cannot stop thinking about how delicious it was. My kids loved the mango Lassi and wanted seconds. I got butter chicken and it was amazing. The kids got chicken tenders and naan pizza which were huge and delicious. My husband got the mixed grill and also raved about his food. I think I might have had tears in my eyes because it was that good. Lewiston really lacks in the flavor department when it comes to non-burger food items so its a nice change of pace. We love visiting the Mango Tree in Spokane and are so happy to have one here now too. I also like how they have decent menu items for non-indian food incase you want to do group dinner with people who are picky ir who don't like Indian food. read more

If you are expecting a real Indian restaurant I don't think this is one. When you walk up to the place you'll see it is a sports bar with TVs playing various sporting events and a scruffy looking crowd drinking beer. Not a speck of decor, Indian or otherwise, with an ambiance similar to a locker room. In spite of all that, we went in anyway. Stood waiting to be seated for a while and eventually were greeted by a goth teen who informed us that the kitchen was slammed and they were running low on food so she wouldn't be able to seat us. So I can't speak to the quality of the food but if you're into sports bars and just want a beer, it's probably an ok place. Just don't expect a beautiful night of Indian food aromas, Indian music, hospitality and ambiance. And for god's sake don't dress up. They stared at us like we were aliens. read more

Just tried this restaurant for the first time. The restaurant is very nice and the ambiance is very nice. Also has a bar and large dining area. The food was excellent! With large portions and enough for a nice take home second meal. Everything is made fresh to order, so it does take a little longer for service, but well worth the time. The prices are good for the large amount of food. We will definitely return!! read more

Delicious food and great service! We came for lunch and everything we ordered was top notch. The Jalfrezi with tender lamb was excellent. The lunch combo of Beef Palak and Butter Chicken (and green salad) were also very tasty. Lots of yummy naan came with both our dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they were open on Sunday. The restaurant looks really great and very clean. The menu had so many choices it was hard to decide. We chose 2 appetizers, the platter and Naanchos and they were both excellent. The place was pretty busy so apparently they are doing well. I would have loved to give the Mango Tree 5 stars, because their food is amazing. Based on food alone, they deserve 5 stars. However, the woman we think is the manager (shoulder length bob hairstyle with brown hair) is literally terrible at her job. She doesn't know the beer or wine available (it is not on the menu). We watched her take 10-15 minutes to greet new tables and get drink orders. Once people placed their drink orders with her, she would vanish into the back and come back out in another 10 minutes with no drinks. Then we watched her talking with other staff while the customers are still waiting on their drinks, and to get their food orders taken. She seems absolutely oblivious to timing and customer service. We have been in twice in the last week (we love Indian Food). The first visit, she comped the entire check for the people sitting next to us because they had been waiting two hours for their food. This is not an exaggeration. We listened to them complaining to her. Now I would not have just sat there and waited that long, but there were only 5 tables full in the entire restaurant. She shouldn't have allowed that long of a wait. That is just incompetence. Then she tries to be endearing by acting like it isn't her fault. What would be endearing is providing at least good service, if not great service. Tonight we watched a couple at the counter not being greeted for 10 minutes, then they placed a drink order (a pint of beer and a glass of wine), which they didn't get for over 15 minutes. When the manager finally brought the woman her wine, we over heard her telling them she was going to comp the drink. I know it is hard to have a successful restaurant business and your operating margin is small. We want Mango Tree to succeed and thrive. This manager is comping too much due to her incompetence. Please find a new manager, as the rest of the servers are doing well. She is the rotten apple. read more
