I had some of the stubborn fat around my chest and my love handles removed by using this type of procedure. While the heat is applied to the stubborn section, they place a cold roller near the heat for a distracting affect. The intensity of the heat can be overwhelming but minor adjustment of the temperature can alleviate the problem. The process is the build up of heat to the point the body can tolerate it. Typically, the facility would recommend couple of Advil before the procedure. Also, hydrating with water before and after the procedure will help flush out the dead fat cells. The procedure took over an hour. 6 applications around the chest and the love handles is all that it took. I was inform the some can see results almost immediately. However, it does take up to 6 weeks before any noticeable miracle can be seen. It take approximately 2-3 session to see a noticeable difference. Keep in mind that this procedure will help reduce around 20-25% subcutaneous fat. Not everybody can be a candidate. It's for those who have normal BMI or people who regularly exercise that had stubborn pocket of fat build up that they can't eliminate. I have another appointment in one month. After that treatment, we will assess if I will need a 3rd treatment

This is a very cute place with wonderful customer service. They fit me in on the same day when my…read morepractitioner was very friendly. I had a great time chatting with them throughout. Unfortunately, at the end of my wax, I was left covered in baby powder, usually I'm cleaned up but on top of that there was still bits of wax and hairs all over me. I pointed this out to them. They went back in and remove the hair from the areas that I pointed out. It wasn't until I arrived home and showered, and then the next day I noticed so many areas were missed. I've put off writing this review for a few weeks because my practitioner was so nice and I had a great time chatting with them. But the actual attention to detail wax was very disappointing. I may return and try a different practitioner someday. This was a wildly different experience from my previous waxers, and unfortunately not in a positive way. The lack of attention to details so frustrating, especially now I have to go home and be raising hair on my own after paying for it to be done. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of two or three is because they are very friendly accommodating there. And I'm sure if I had called the next day to go back they would've made space for me to come in. It felt like a very professional place. (after spending over an hour there being waxed I just didn't feel like going back for a second go.)

I have been a patient at Reflections Dermatology for many different services over the years,…read moreincluding Dysport, discoloration treatments, spot removal surgery, and laser treatments. I trusted this place and spent a significant amount of money there, which makes this experience even more disappointing. When I went in for my first laser hair removal appointment, I specifically asked about the price beforehand. I was told it was about $400 for the two areas I wanted treated, and when I asked how many sessions that covered, I was told up to 10 sessions. Even the receipt listed the price by "area," not per session, which made it sound like the price was for treating those areas rather than a single treatment. During the appointment, I even made a comment to the technician saying "That's really expensive if I have to pay that every time." She proceeded with the service without clarifying that the price was per session, which led me to believe the price was for the treatment of the area overall. When I came back for my second session, I was shocked to be charged the same $400 again. I spoke to the manager explaining that the pricing had been miscommunicated to me, but they refused to take any responsibility or offer any type of refund. Instead, the manager made me feel like I was lying and insisted their technicians are "very well trained" in explaining pricing. I asked many questions before starting because I wanted to be clear about the cost, and the information given to me was not clear at all. This was especially frustrating considering how much money I've already spent at this practice over the years. To make matters worse, years ago I had a spot removed on my leg there, and the surgery resulted in permanent bruising on my lower leg. I went through multiple treatments with them to try to fix the damage, and eventually they wanted to charge me $500 per laser session to correct the issue they created. After already spending so much money, I refused and am now left with a permanent mark on my leg. I originally went there to improve my skin and feel more confident, but instead my leg was left worse than before. Between the lack of transparency with pricing, extremely high costs, and poor accountability, I cannot recommend this place. Unless you are extremely wealthy and don't care about pricing transparency, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
