There was a maze outside, beautiful trees, and plenty of parking, that was well hidden from your sight when you stood outside the theatre. Little theatres like this go to show you that even though you are a community theatre, you don't have to suck at your productions. With a little elbow grease, you can make a low budget show seem like a million dollar budget. I think this theatre (if it keeps it up) is worth every dime of ticket sales.

This is a high quality, supportive theater program that puts on a full scale musical with costumes and sets (show usually is abbreviated, lasts one hour without intermission.) Miniplayers (for little kids) then Dramafun jr players (up to 5th grade) and the Dramafun players (10 years old and up) all participate in the production. It's very high quality. We've tried kids theater programs up and down the south shore, and it definitely one of the best in the area. And to think, my youngest daughter used to be afraid to audition, and my neice used to be afraid to perform!

The woman working the cashier was very welcoming and told us about a lot of other art opportunities we could explore (Sandwich Heritage Garden being one of them). The garden was just acquired last year and it is a beautiful, serene, magical little gem with little stone pathways to explore different parts and a few benches to enjoy the outdoors. His use of texture, light, color and detail stimulated my eyes and moved my soul as I viewed his poignant portrayals of life on Cape Cod and in the Massachusetts Berkshires. HMG has quite an amazing and rather extensive collection of automobiles from the early days 1905, 1920s, 1930s, to 1940s. Great to see the various transitions the production and inventions the auto industry went through - various engines of electric, steam, or gasoline as fuel. All autos are perfectly restored and in working condition! Then meander through the magnifique Hydrangea gardens - eight varieties and 160 species...the full varied gardens cover 100 acres. The walking paths are wide, and plentiful, and everything is well marked, with maps provided at the entrance after you check in. The hydrangeas this year were absolutely outstanding. The day lillys were also plentiful, and ranged in different colors and markings. The exhibit in the back hall/area toward the back of the property featured cranberries - all about bogs, how they started, how they were harvested, and even how they became part of the first thanksgiving dinner. Highly recommend a visit during the hydrangea festival, or really any time, as the grounds and gardens are beautiful.

It was another "thoughtful" program assembled by Dr. Pak, aimed at young people, but the program was thoroughly enjoyed by all who were there. We always sit in the last row in the balcony, we've had the same seats now for at least eight years. It gives us the breadth of the orchestra, and with the acoustics of the hall, a transporting experience with the music.
