I have found that the level of the instruction is excellent and the faculty is very, very good. If you are a beginner - this is a good place to start your artistic life. If you are experienced - this is the place that will challenge and encourage you to move forward with style, technique and camaraderie. I've noticed that many of the students were once interested in painting or pottery but " life got in the way" and they have returned to pursue their interest. The enthusiasm in the classroom and workshops is contagious,doubts about skill levels disappear. Lectures continued during the pandemic via zoom as well as classroom instruction. I encourage you to stop by and view the gallery. The shows, with a variety of themes, are always superb.

This is a high quality, supportive theater program that puts on a full scale musical with costumes and sets (show usually is abbreviated, lasts one hour without intermission.) Miniplayers (for little kids) then Dramafun jr players (up to 5th grade) and the Dramafun players (10 years old and up) all participate in the production. It's very high quality. We've tried kids theater programs up and down the south shore, and it definitely one of the best in the area. And to think, my youngest daughter used to be afraid to audition, and my neice used to be afraid to perform!

Secondly, it is a read a few cards mounted on the walls - with minimal equipment or displays. Thirdly, the paths on the Antenna Farm are a damn fine take. That's about it. Going back to #1, yes they are decent folks who work there. But there is not much to this place. If you scan their website, you're sure to see it all. Not lame, but.... They have a nice diarama of the Antenna Farm that is pretty well marked up and seemingly accurate. I've a friend who actually worked there as a CW operator. There is also an Amateur Radio Club there. It was closed, but the volunteer let us in and showed us around. The 2 m repeater and APRs was dead as a door nail. I did it once. It's quite a trek to get down there, but a very beautiful area. I'd give them an "A" effort, but a misfire as compared to the Vintage Communications Museum in Connecticut or the Antique Wireless Association in New York - hard acts to follow. 73s

Coby makes dancing Fun and my son is now excited about taking lessons. He has been extremely flexible with our NYC auditions and performance schedule. Most importantly he caters to the individual dancer. Having three older daughters, who grew up with dance, I know the difference of an average studio to a great one, and they are truly exceptional! When we arrived in Truro for our vacation, we looked through a flier for the Truro Center for the…read moreArts at Castle Hill and realized that they had scheduled some fantastic events that we could sign up for on their website. In addition to events they have all kinds of classes as well as yoga sessions available. This evening we went to a fascinating lecture presented by Mark Bittman and Doc Willoughby. Doc Willougby , who is also a good writer, interviewed Mark Bittman about his new book: Animal, Vegetable,Junk: A History of Food from Sustainable to Suicidal. The Truro Center sent us emails urging people to carpool since they were expecting a huge crowd snd Prior to the event, had the opportunity to speak with Susan Kai Schwartz , the Program Manager, who assured me that if I arrived thirty minutes early, I'd be able to find parking. When we arrived, the first person we met was Bruce Player, the Program Coordinator. Bruce greeted us like we were old friends, even though we had never met! He urged us to take our lawn chairs and find a good place to sit for the lecture and when I asked, don't you want to see my ticket?, Bruce assured me he'd find us but was more interested in our comfort. My wife and I were impressed with everything we experienced at the center. They served refreshments that were reasonably priced and while I had promised myself I wouldn't buy another book, Mark Bittman's talk was so stimulating and delightful, I felt we needed to read it immediately! The other wonderful aspect of the evening is that we didn't get one mosquito bite! They had a special machine that kept the mosquitoes away. The center also had beautiful restrooms inside their buildings. I strongly urge you to check out their website and make and plan to visit the Truro Center for the Arts when you are vacationing on the Cape.
