She gave one pillow to my dad and the other to me as Christmas gifts. Shortly thereafter, we discovered that the paint used to stencil the letters and numbers on the pillow was water soluble and wiped off with a damp paper towel. It would have been impossible to wash or even spot clean the front of the pillow case without also removing the stenciling. Today, well beyond the 14-day return policy stated on the receipt, my mom and I brought the pillows back to the store to see if there was anything we could do to protect the paint on the front of the pillow case (Scotchgard wasn't going to cut it). As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted by an associate. We briefly explained our concern to the associate, and then without even batting an eye or even checking our receipt he apologized, stated that he was unaware of this issue, and immediately offered to exchange the pillows for other merchandise. We ended up selecting different Buffalo-themed pillows. Room offers beautiful contemporary furniture and home decor, and after spending time looking around the store and observing the quality of their merchandise, it's obvious that the faulty pillows were an anomaly and in no way typical of the products sold by Room. My mom and I were both impressed with this customer service experience and appreciate the attention we received.

And it's eclectic with vintage, modern, antiques , collectibles, art work and furniture. So many things your eyes simply don't know where to look. The kind of place that makes it very difficult to carry on a conversation with someone because you're looking at so many fun things that you forget what they asked you! The owner was absolutely welcoming and just charming. There was a fire in the fire place that invited you to sit and look around and keep jumping up to get something else you simply couldn't believe you found. Every nook and cranny had a treasure. Some were from estate sales, some were on consignment, some were from local artists. I can't imagine not being able to find just the most unique gift for someone or for that shelf in your home. I couldn't resist a vintage train case! The owner also told us that new items are constantly being added and so it's the kind of place that you would never see the same thing twice and I think always be welcomed anytime. They have SO MANY cool things of all ages, from antiques to newer stuff, everything including the kitchen sink. Prices vary widely but most items are clearly marked so you'll know which things are within budget and which are the splurges. Bricks and countertops are in the fenced-in outdoor area. The staircase to the second and third levels is just inside the main entry on the right, and there is a gender-neutral restroom there too. Staff is friendly, helpful, and easy to find. Parking is available on the street (free, no meters). I also met a very sweet and friendly shop cat wandering around. Bonus points for the shop cat. Note - as with any large building full of really cool very old building materials, there is a pervasive musty smell in the air, so if you're sensitive to those things (allergies, asthma, etc.) a mask might be a good idea.
