On tour with highly suspect
Harry P.

I've been there quite a few times and I always have a great time I talk a band into the building. I've taken highly suspect in their it has great owner he always treat us like kings ! And I've never had any problems with any staff at all .

This was a bucket list venue for me. I was not disappointed. It is a lot smaller than I pictured, making it intimate & leaving room for everyone to have visibility to the stage. The sound perfect. This place is legendary & I was in amazement from the moment of entry. I am unsure how it is during off hours on just being able to go into the venue and look around - if you are able to ... do it. There is so so much detail everywhere. I bought a VIP pack for the band I saw to have time to look around with no one there. They make their own beer now. They do have it on tap & you can take 6 packs to go. I recommend 1,000%.

KIDD G

Ive only been once but my experience was a 10/10. I went to see kidd g and i was right up at the barrier and no one was pushing or shoving. I also was allowed to stay after the concert which allowed me to meet kidd g so my whole life is complete. Also, not 100% on his name but Mark is the best and coolest security guard ive ever come across and he made sure that my friend and i were safe the entire night.

This place is amazing! It's a lot of your favorite bands at a very intimate level. I always have a blast here. The crowd the atmosphere it's so much fun. There is one thing it is very loud there. The floor is vibrating right underneath your feet. So if you don't like realllly loud music Id suggest go somewhere else. Personally I totally enjoy it!

I've been here a few times and each time I've been here my experiences have been awesome. The staff is helpful and incredibly friendly and the shows are well lighted and can be heard well. They offer the choice of standing to view shows or have a seat at one of the tables towards the back that still have an awesome view of the stage. The drinks are good both mixed cocktails and ice cold canned beers. Definitely don't mind coming here every once in awhile to catch a show.

Flint has a lot of bars- and this is one of them…read more For certain, it was a heck of a lot better back in the day when it was the Backroom. I went here all of the time as a college student when it was known as the Backroom and later I dropped in once in awhile when it was called Kelly's, until it was sold and became the Loft. Yep, it's a dive bar, always has been and always will be, but the really good old days of the dive bar experience here are sadly gone. As dive bars go, I've seen better and I've seen worse. In fact, if look up the phrase "dive bar," you will probably come across a picture of the Loft. You can't order food here, the "dance floor" is tiny, the music is sometimes good, sometimes not. Don't let me get started on the parking situation- it's terrible and you might as well make a mad dash to wherever you managed to park your car when you leave! It's actually laughable. Some of the cocktails are a bit overpriced for what you are getting (sometimes weak or improperly made), but service largely depends on if you are regular or friend of a friend. Random strangers probably tend to get the short end of the stick. I admit, I've gotten free drinks here before, but that's because the staff knows me. Rodney, the owner, is a great guy, but sometimes the bar runs out of essentials, like premium spirits and mixers. I wish the bar staff would just get it together and make certain that the bar is properly stocked to avoid having to order something alternative because they're out of the appropriate ingredients. Beer selection is just average, but they do carry Stella Artois, one of my favorites, so the Loft has that going for itself. While I don't particularly care for most of their cocktails (either too sweet or extremely tart- so much for a happy medium), the bartenders do make a good mojito and a decent old fashioned, though. My preferred cocktail is a whisky sour, which is pretty easy to make and the last few I ordered kinda sucked. They just didn't taste right, too tart. More often than not, I haven't cared for the vibe, the atmosphere, etc. There are just way too many barfly types hanging around drinking draft beer all night. Plus, I often run into an ex or two here and that's just bad mojo all around...

We just bought round after round after round. They made our car bombs out of Bushmill's whiskey which was a huge plus! I love dive bars and I wouldn't call this one a dive exactly, but the atmosphere is definitely NOT one where you want to drink expensive specialty martinis and eat tapas while toting your designer bag around. It's more like the place that gets really cozy when you go there regularly. Torn jeans, comfy white T-shirt, your busted Cons. I definitely would go do some major chugging with my Flint town crew if I was back around there.

I had no idea this place existed until recently. I came here for the Pet Expo this weekend and…read morerealized it was here. It's actually a really nice place on the inside and is primarily for the Flint ice hockey team, which yet again, I had no idea existed! You learn something new every day, right? After a long drive I found this place and wandered inside. Parking here's a little odd with a few different entrances and two separate lots. It reminds me of mall parking at Lakeside for some reason...don't ask. It was $5 to park which isn't that bad. Inside the main lobby is quite large with a big screen across the wall! there's three floors and my event was on the first floor. the main floor had the fly ball for dogs and I believe that's also where the actual ice rink is. I have no clue what's on the third floor. Probably offices. Anyway, it's a nice place in a part of town that could probably use the event space. They had a little snack area but I didn't get anything to eat our drink. Would return for other events in the future.

They have a gift shop that is extremely overpriced for the merchandise. VUP parking is available in the rear of the building for $5. The venue was clean along with the restrooms. Staff was friendly and armed security was plentiful making you feel safe (even though entry did not require a search or metal detectors). Good team with nice entertainment between periods. I would definitely return for a game but eat somewhere else prior or after.
