The best place to go after a night of drinking on a Friday or Saturday for some dancing and a good DJ. Or if you're just looking to hang out and eat dinner and have some drinks it has amazing food. One thing I noticed every time I am there when the staff is overwhelmed the owner helped tremendously with supporting them and helping out. This is a great go to place. read more

I've been here quite a few times and have always had great experiences! Awesome food, especially the shrimp tacos! Waitresses and bar staff are always friendly and the owner always goes out of his way to thank you for coming in and answer any questions you may have. I left a one star review for this place across the street from where I live about 3 years ago. I'm only upping it to 2 stars because I went in tonight for some food Togo and the waitress was nice , although if she was in charge of giving me my side orders....she failed miserably. First off I don't think I have ever gotten a Togo order right from this place. That being said I got talked out of checking my bag at my table by the waitress who assured me all my sides were in with my soft pretzel order box....they weren't. They have been advertising that home made soups were back on their sign by the road. I called 3 days in a row and asked what the soup of the day was....got the same answer every time, and tonight when I went in for my to go order...Reuben Soup. I hate Reuben sandwiches so wasn't about to try it though my waitress highly recommend it. However they need to change it from soup of the day to soup of the week if it's the same soup every night. I ordered a chicken salad to go with TWO sides of honey mustard dressing, a side of cottage cheese and their soft pretzels with hot nacho cheese sauce. Got the meal pretty quick, in two boxes and naturally I started digging through the bag because after all...this is The Fireplace. I didn't even open the first box when my waitress assured me all my sides were in the box with my pretzels. And like an idiot I believed her. WRONG!! Walked home with the bag. Opened it up and the only side with the pretzels was the COLD cheese sauce, they failed to heat it up. The salad box had one side of honey mustard and there was NO cottage cheese, tough I paid for it as I checked my bill before I paid. Why I believe they got my 3 item order correct I had no idea???,. Maybe from breathing carbon dioxide from my own breath from my mask I wasn't thinking right. I just love paying for items I never get., one of my favorite past times of to go orders. Got home and opened my salad. Yikes!! 95% lettuce with like 6 pieces of chicken. I dumped out half the lettuce to make a decent salad but man they are stingy on the chicken. Then went to heat up my cold cheese sauce and had one on the pretzel sticks, one was burnt on the back but still tasted good. I just don't understand how you can't get a three item order correct. Why it's so hard to put two side dressings in your order and why they don't know you always heat up the pretzel cheese sauce. Oh well, my own fault for not checking the bag. I didn't go back for my cottage cheese and my other side. Need a Fireplace break like I took last time. Too bad since its like 1000 feet from my condo. This is a nice little local bar in the Fenton area. The drinks are pretty cheap here and there's a decent sized dance floor with a DJ that takes song requests. Most domestic beers are on the list and the bartenders make a good variety of mixed drinks too. It's pretty close to the water too. read more

Well...so I called to ask some questions about the "steak" sandwich on the menu. I asked if they made it to order or if it was premade meat..she said made to order. So I go on to say I'd like it done medium rare. She says "I've never had anyone ask for it done that way but I'll mark it down"...hmm?! So then I say..I don't like well done meat so I want to make sure it's not pre-made and not well done. She said "don't worry I got you". Ugh. So I get the sandwich and 1) it's pre made meat...aka not real steak...2) it's basically steak-umms meat, 3) no, you don't "got me" you gave me pre-made meat that was well done...exactly what I was trying to avoid. Should have gone with the pizza...had I known it was half off, it would have totally been my choice. But since the website and the employees don't know what they are selling it makes things difficult. Will give one more try and hope for better results on a different item. Ugh! I wouldn't even offer a single star rating. Tonight, I attended my high school reunion which was held in the patio room. I had to search on my own for a menu and placed my order almost immediately after arriving. However, I had to ask about my food after an hour waiting without any indication of when I would be served. The waitress, although friendly, told me my food would be arriving shortly but then asked me what I had ordered. There was a 30th birthday party the same night so I had to wait quite a while to use the restroom (which was down to one stall since the other toilet was clogged because it didn't flush...yuck). When I made it back to my party, my food was at the table. At this point, I was famished. I ate what I could and reminisced with friends, some of whom I hadn't seen since graduation. The food was okay. I asked for a box and put it the car to wait while I caught up with friends. When the check came, I politely asked for a discount on the bill because of the delay. I was denied my request, told I should've said something when I was served (even though I wasn't seated when it arrived) and because the food was eaten). I am not one who often complains or sends back food. I was very displeased to the point that this will be my only review since I don't see myself ever going back. read more

Although I was not entirely impressed it wasn't a bad experience. My girlfriend and I moved out to Fenton only a few months ago, we have been here for a little while and haven't really had the opportunity to try all the places around Fenton that people really seem to enjoy, that aren't big chains or corporations. So the place was packed full on a Thursday night...I guess that's good for them! No tables were open so we sat at the bar, the option to sit outside was presented but we preferred to sit inside. They had some sort of Trivia game going on, I'm guessing something they do on a regular basis. A lot of people seemed to be involved. It added a nice touch of entertainment, although we didn't play we had fun listening to the questions and trying answer them. The Food : So we ordered the garlic bread with pizza sauce and a pizza to share. The garlic bread : when it was presented we were both a little shocked at what we received. It was pretty much a long piece of pita bread with a garlic butter spread on it. We expected more of bread sticks but eh. What you gonna do. It didn't taste bad, I was not a huge fan of them but my girlfriend really enjoyed them. Next...the pizza. The pizza we got was very good. It was thin crust which I don't usually really like but it was good. A few pieces got burnt around the crust. It wasn't too bad though. It was loaded up very nicely. All and all it was a good experience. But definitely not what I expected.. It was pretty average cost for the bill, around $25 for us to share that stuff. So it wasn't bad at all. Over all I would recommend it to the sports lover. Or for friends looking to go get a drink. It's more of a hang out then a dine-in place. read more

It's more or less what you expect from a tiny lake bar, bunch of locals sitting at the bar drinking, etc. We all ordered our food, it came out in an acceptable amount of time, the burger and coney that I ordered were about what you would expect, but my companion for the evening ordered the baked tilapia, which unfortunately was under cooked and cold in the middle, at which point her appetite was gone, with good reason. read more

The food is awesome for a bar. The service is great along with the daily specials. All the foods are home made from kitchen Manger Mel, home made soup, the cheese buger soup is great. The bugers are fresh none frozen bugers that Halo Burger used until bought out by Subway. So if you want an olive buger that is a lot better than Halo Burger head to the Fireplace. read more

The best quesadias ever! And taco Tuesday, for $.75 cents leaves us full after one taco and great atmosphere! Very friendly, down to earth staff & a clean establishment!
