From the time we landed to time we walked off the plane onto the tarmac to the terminal. Where there are officers with dog sniffer and a person taking your temperature, before collect your luggage. After you collect your luggage you press a button red is check green is good to leave. Leaving the airport where you can catch a taxi. You can also walk to the oxxo/gas station, where you can catch a cheaper taxi. It all depends on how tired you are from your flight or the amount of luggage you have or the heat. If you want to walk that short distance. Returning flight went smoothly from the time we checked in then you leave that area by going outside to a different entrance to go through security. Where they are very organized moving people and thorough checking. After going through security there are many shops to get last minute items to bring home and eating establishments. There is a lounge you can pay to enter not sure the price. It's all you can eat and drink. Went and bought chocolate and vanilla, hot sauce. Was prices reasonable considering it's in a airport. Also checked out the e duty free, we didn't find anything. There are other shops to buy snacks for your flight. Had a bit of a growl going, so off to the restaurant we go and ordered a clubhouse to share and fries beer and water. Must say the food was delicious The area is very very busy, with domestic and international travellers waiting for their flights. Tip: If you can find a AC unit on the wall sit close you will stay cooler then sitting anywhere else in the waiting area. The airport is currently under renovation you don't really notice. You can hear them through. - staff constantly cleaning floor benches, tables. - washrooms very clean and well stocked.

I have had no issues when entering secured areas besides the usual security bag checks. Today, I can't believe my suitcase was being scrutinized and I was even patted down; the rest of the group was fine. It's been a long while since this has happened to me. Nonetheless, my experience at Huatulco airport security went well. After all, safety and security first. At this airport, there are small shops and several restaurants inside and outside or airport, flight monitors at various locations, and basic airport chairs located around each gated area. I especially liked the palapa ceilings, giving the old school a modern look to its newly remodeled terminal. I also liked the airport runway surrounded by an array of greens. A tropical forest in itself. You will also notice some of the interesting and unique artwork around the airport. Love it

We also got the shrimp summer roll appetizer, a margarita, a cocktail with mezcal, orange juice and grenadine, and the churros for dessert. Did I mention the view of the private beach? It felt like our own private resort getaway. The restaurant is at the bottom of what seems like a decent size mountain with many hotels and houses along the way. When we come back to Huatulco, this will be our special dinner for the trip again.

Spaghetti shrimp 8/10 octopus 9/10 catch of the day (mahi mahi). 10/10 Everything was fantastic and we would 100% order them again. Definitely a lot of food for 2- we were stuffed. But of course we had to order dessert. Previous reviews said to try the Oreos fritos with vanilla ice cream and wow- so so good. 10/10. The churros with condensed milk and chocolate were a great hit too. 8/10 We hope to come back to try all of the other delicious items on the menu.

The beach dogs were a highlight: friendly, chill, and so well-behaved that a few even napped at our feet during meals. Service at the restaurant was quick, and I ate there often -- the food was great and the Wi-Fi there worked well. I also felt really safe; there's someone stationed outside through the night. The rooms were comfortable, and the cleaning staff deserves special mention -- the woman who cleaned our room went above and beyond (she even organized my makeup one morning!). Everything was spotless, and the beds were super cozy. The main downside was the Wi-Fi in the rooms -- it barely worked, so I had to head down to the restaurant for a connection. We stayed in a suite, which looked a bit more spacious in the photos, so that was a small disappointment. There were also a few bugs and small critters (mosquitoes, crickets, lizards), but considering the off-grid, jungle-meets-beach vibe, it's understandable. Overall, it was a great stay -- beautiful setting, perfect location, and easy access to food, the beach, and town. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a laid-back, scenic Tulum experience.

We sat on the couches on the beach. Attention to detail, Delicious food, great service, beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend for a romantic quick bite or dinner with friends. It is a stray from the bohemian character and culture of zipolite - while we enjoyed everything - I would suggest this place as an option but not a solution to all the other great small culturally significant locally owned and family driven restaurants in town. They are open later than 6pm- so that should be updated on Yelp.

We were told by a male server that for our group of 10, upstairs will be more fitting (referring to clubs second level). Our preference was to hangout downstairs, with our drinks, closest to dance floor. The server was adamant that we were not allowed to sit/stand around round bar tables due to our group size. Interestingly, we had witnessed 1 round table and 1 booth, neither tables had bottle service. Instead, we saw buckets of beers, like ours. In addition to our seating issue, I had ordered a lemonade drink, waited 15 minutes or so, got tired of waiting so I walked over to the bar downstairs and placed my order. Not sure where our server went. For having so many servers all over the club (upstairs and downstairs), sadly, could not even get one non alcoholic drink delivered to me in a timely manner. Like I said, their focus is on bottle service. Liked- choice of music and mermaid show Disliked - club's service (definitely not accommodating) and dj was not engaging, he needs to get the crowd pumped up, but he did play good music. Dancing didn't really start til 1230a, but then again, that could just be a La Papaya thing. Sloooowww start. Not sure if myself and traveling group will return

Pricing seems a little sketchy and I definitely see how people could get into a bad situation here after a few too many beers.
