I really enjoy this place for casual dining in the west end. Good service, easy to get a table and good variety. However the steak salad is one to avoid.. I ordered it to get something lighter but with all of the potatoes it wasn't light at all. Also the quality of the steak was questionable and it was chewy. read more

Attentive service, but strange music playing during their dinner rush! Maybe would have been a better vibe if it was late night/weekend? Tomato soup and grilled cheese were delicious on the rainy day when I stopped in! Lots of yummy menu options to select from. I like their menu options and hope to try more soon! read more

Out of town guest and a gift card made us branch out for brunch. I will go back. Server was awesome. We do think they need to give us the coffee pot. Food was really good and way too much. Crispy hash browns waffle sandwich and an egg sandwich I could barely get a photo of before it got devoured. The bloodys looked amazing too. read more

Amazing food and great experience. Amelia is the best and she worked her butt off for our work group! We love Amelia! Somebody give her a raise! She was going all night. thank you Amelia!! We had great food and tried a lot of things on the menu which was so fun!! Favs were the salmon bowl, the cheesecake, the chicken dumplings and the garlic fries!! Great vegetarian options!! Which was surprising! Boss loved the cauliflower tacos. Everyone has a great time and the interior was comfortable and laid. Back and merry. read more

Food, service and drinks where all good. Food was quality and service top notch. Highly recommended

The Loop was a last minute, "driving around to find something new surprise!" The patio was a bit wet from the morning weather, so we chose to eat inside. The ambiance was very open and looks like a great place to come with groups of friends Lots of screens with their own branded video channel fun to hear so many 80s and 70s throwbacks mixed in! Definitely need to try the brick oven flatbread next time! Delicious food, great staff. Reminds me a bit of Scottsdale AZ restaurants. I had the Blackened chicken and avocado melt. Flavors were great! I up graded to the garlic fries, because...duh, garlic! Enjoy! read more

Super impressed with this place! I've driven by a bunch but never had the chance to go.. however, when I found out they were an official Loons watch place, I made it a point to go for the Allstars game (as one of the Loons made the team!!) I made reservations through open table with a note that we were coming to watch the game. When we arrived it was pretty quiet, so they let us pick the TV we wanted to watch the game on and they sat us accordingly. Our server was amazing and super knowledgeable about the bar menu.. she saved me from ordering something that had an ingredient that I was allergic to in it. The buffalo egg roll things were SO GOOD.. the flatbread kind of forgettable.. but we will be back to try more for another away game! read more

I found this establishment by simply asking some locals on the street while walking to the grocery store from my hotel. They told me the food and service as well as the atmosphere was a complete package. I sat at the bar and asked the bartender to tell me what is the go to items. Took his suggestion and went with the double smash burger with garlic fries and a side of ranch. Wow is all I have to say. The meat quality and portions with the price were great. I paired it with a local hazy ipa. However, I was still hungry and opted for the mini donuts. Holy smokes those things were good. They came with 10 mini sized and I ate all of them. This is a must visit spot for sure read more

I had an awesome time brunching at The Loop this past Saturday. After canceling our original plans, we did a quick search and my buddy suggested that we eat here bcuz he's heard great things about it and works nearby. I love the great amount of indoor and outdoor seating that's available. We chose to sit outside and bask in the fresh outdoor summer breeze. The appetizer wings were really tasty and made well. I got the Loop Burger with fries and it definitely hit the spot. Really nice burger and the fries had a dash of parmesan!! The blackened chicken avocado melt was solid. Could've used a sauce of some type but I would say I'm indifferent about it and would look at other sandwich options next time. Free parking in the ramps nearby and service was really good. I love when I can ask the waiter/waitress what they recommend and they've actually tried items from the menu. read more

tried the blackened chicken & avocado melt for takeout during a work dinner. let me just say the garlic fries.. POTENT. i couldn't keep the lid open without getting choked out with garlic fumes. despite the fumes the fries weren't my favorite. i love a sourdough bread so i wasnt mad at the sandwich. they put two chicken breasts which is generous & the avocado was fresh & green. it was just decent. read more

Great service and food! We arrived early for a birthday party and had some happy hour cocktail and avocado roll at the bar. I had the pictured drink a raspberry gimlet......NUMMY! The avocado rolls were good but I would be a little embarrassed as they were maybe the size of my thumb, they look larger in photo. I had the mushroom fettuccini which I labeled in the phot and it was great, did not even miss that it had any protein but you could ass shrimp or chicken for like $6.00 more. My cousin ordered the lettuce wraps from the happy hour menu and they were delicious and plentiful for a happy hour portion. The Soup was lobster bisque for $14.00 and my friend never mentioned if it was good, great or bad. My boyfriend had wagyu burger and said it was one of the best every, with an everything bun. We went at 4:00 and found parking right away and we left about 7:30 and they were not very busy it was a Monday night though and I saw signs that Monday nights is 1/2 priced bottles of wine, but none of us were interested in wine last night. read more

The food here is top notch! I went to an alumni event for my son's college. The waitress did a superb job of getting drinks for our large group. The appetizers the event provided were yummy! Especially the goat cheese with toasted bread. Nom! Then at the suggestion of the hostess I ordered a chicken avocado sandwich to go. It held up well on my drive home! It was so flavorful I'd definitely order it again. The fries were fabulous! Garlic and herbs and skinny potato cut fries. So good! Now I want to go to another happy hour and try more eats! read more

I've come here a lot for other meals, but did you know this place has brunch? Well neither do a lot of people so it wasn't jam packed like every other brunch place on a Sunday! The food overall was good. Two people had the breakfast omelette special which had bacon and spinach and some other stuff. They really liked it and it was well-executed. I had the breakfast poutine to try something different. And it was fine and a creative way of using ingredients already on their menu. So they used toasted biscuit instead of fries for the base. And the toasted biscuit was delicious. My favorite part. They were overly heavy on the cheese curds, which were ok, but kind of dominated it honestly. Sausage gravy was good. I would have preferred a more traditional one with fries. But the biscuit was really great, just not enough of it compared to the curds. Other than the balance between those things, I have no complaints about it. I might not order it again, but the other food there was great! read more

Great food and excellent service. We tried a Loop house salad and the #6 pizza. Both were great. The salad was fresh and the pizza had great flavor. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The host was also friendly and very helpful. He went out of his way to help us look for something in our booth after we had left and came back. I picked this place based on Google reviews as we were passing through town. We wanted a quick bite, but something good. We had been turned away from another place nearby, so I called The Loop. The host was friendly and inviting, plus they had immediate seating on a Friday evening. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely dine here again if in the area. read more

I frequented the West End Loop when I worked in the area in the past. I was in the area I was excited to dine there again. The waitress was great, however, the food was less than desirable. I ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich (which was a favorite of mine). However, what I received was the thinnest, most overcooked, and driest chicken breast I have ever been served. To level set the chicken breast was thinner than my 5 year old son''s kiddie hamburger. I included a picture of the sandwich with this review. The waitress did take the sandwich off our bill (I sent it back and didn't eat it). Based on the fact they didn't offer me another one, I'm guessing this how all of their chicken sandwiches now look. If you google pictures of the sandwich the restaurant puts online you will get an idea of the dramatic difference between what is advertised (and also what the sandwich used to look like) and my picture shows what you get today. Very disappointing experience. read more

Showed up with my family to have dinner and watch the MN Wild game. The hostess mentioned she would get the game on a couple of the screens for us. She went off to chat with another employee. Our Server must've been having a bad day, because when I asked her to play the game on one screen she became obviously irritated by that request and said the manager is the only one able to change the channel and she's busy. After another 5 minutes i asked the bartender if he could change a screen and he rolled his eyes and told me it would be awhile. The restaurant was completely dead and by the customer service I received- I understand why. We left and walked to another restaurant nearby. read more

West end wednesdays! On Wednesday nights in the summer wine glasses and flatbreads are 50% off! I enjoyed the #9 flatbread (goat cheese, pepperoni, arugula, hot honey) and a glass of Sauvignon blanc for about $15. We sat outside and enjoyed the patio on a beautiful summer night. It was a bit loud, as there was also a shuttle parked outside taking fans to a Twins game, but overall great patio spot. Service was good, very prompt to fill up our waters on a warm night. Would recommend during the day! Parking in the west end is always very accessible and free. This review will be about the most delicious cheesecake i've had and the mystery behind the cheesecake baking lady. I am pleasantly entertained at the fact that this bar is known to me as the "Cheesecake Bar." THE TASTE: A delicious fluffy and not too "fudge" like texture; it had me surprised at the fact at how delightful it melted in my mouth. It wasn't so sweet that it had me on my back which is a good thing. THE MYSTERY: I asked our waiter who was the chef of this cheesecake and he said that there is lady who would come in every once in a while and make a giant batch of cheesecake. Every time she comes in there is a different flavor that she bakes up. The odd thing was that our waiter said that he had no idea who she was, nor did many of the staff. I like that this is a thing at the Loop. read more

For a bar and restaurant, the Loop has a bright look and reasonable noise level for lunch. I had the French Dup and substituted cherry almond salad for the fries. Yes, salad is healthier, but before I congratulate myself, I have to admit I just bought cherry salad at Costco so I could have just eaten that at home for cheap. Anyway, the salad was great. The French Dip was ok but not memorable. The service was fast and the bar is so clean it was an easy choice to sit up there instead of table. I like the menu, but it seems similar to Yardhouse which is nearby. Like so many restaurants, they have huge TVs everywhere if you like that. I would consider this a good option for a business lunch. read more

Came here via recommendation from a friend that this bar felt as fun as the bars downtown, but was a bit closer to home, so I figured it was time to check it out! And she wasn't wrong, the place really did feel like we were in a downtown bar. It was packed on a Saturday night, like line out of the door packed!! I was not expecting that lol. After 10pm, the place becomes more like a club rather than restaurant. They play music, have a DJ, and have fun lights all over the place. It also draws an older crowd in comparison to some of the downtown bars where I'm it sometimes feels like I'm surrounded by underclassmen lol. Drinks were reasonably priced for the west end, and tasted good. I didn't get any food, but it looked and smelt good. I think it'd be a great place to go with a group of friends when looking for a night out outside of the usual downtown bars! read more

We go regularly and enjoy the food. Crispy shrimp, French dip, salmon rice bowl. bartenders are great! We like sitting at the bar.

Honestly this place was very underwhelming. The restaurants nearby had long wait times so my friends and I decided to come here instead where we could be seated right away. They seated us way off in the back at a table right by the server's station. I didn't think this would be a problem but we even had someone come and reach right behind our chairs for some plates. When we offered to move our table a little into the very open area in front of us, she told us to just stay. Weird. Our server was also incredibly rude, not in an outright way but just in a way that made you feel guilty for asking questions about the menu or even ordering with her. My pizza was also really mediocre and dry and I spent a long time trying to get my server's attention to get some ranch to dip it in. Would not return read more

Okay the waitress was super sweet and the place was clean. The food was great as well. Expect for on Sat night it turns into a club. It gets extremely loud and crowded. So if your going to go out to dinner be there and seated before 830 at night. Our Steak lettuce wraps were extremely over cooked and tough. However the presentation of it was good. I would stay away from that dish. Overall food was great. But if your not into that club vibe stay away on late Saturday nights. Wow! Great food, great service. A hidden gem. Our waitress greeted us soon as we sat down. she had a smile with every interaction. She knew the menu and could make recommendations. I tried her favorite, the salmon rice bowl and it didn't disappoint it was delicious. My husband had the jambalaya and he said it was also delicious. I was so excited to tell y'all about my meal I forgot to tell you about the bang bang shrimp and house salad. You must order the bang bang shrimp. Yum, yum. They come with plenty of vegetables so you can eat the shrimp alone or make a lettuce wrap, I tried it both ways and it was delicious. The house salad is enough to share. I've loved most of the things I've ordered. There are some things I'll skip going forward but on the whole I'm happy with what I've gotten. My suggestion would be to make it easier to order online. I tried to order the specials and found out you aren't allowed to do that online. I emailed to see if you were allowed to order the specials if you called to get them to go and the return message said yes. I did that tonight and it was kind of a cluster. The poor hostess that answered the phone was in the middle of the party and neither of us could hear each other. Finally I transferred to the bar manager, after being on hold twice, because the hostess didn't have the authority to complete the "to go curb side pick up" transaction. read more

I had a pretty good experience visiting the Loop in St Louis Park. Beautiful restaurant and very friendly staff. It is sad to see so many restaurants struggling at the moment being under staffed which will result in longer wait time, But they did an amazing job for how busy they were! I had the Bad Hombre cocktail that was absolutely delicious. For an appetizer I had the Bang Bang shrimp which was amazing! Prefect blend of crunchy, spicy, and sweet. Plus they give you TONS of shrimp. I was expecting maybe 15 tops but we got about 25 pieces of shrimp in our appetizer. For dinner I chose to order their #6 pizza with grilled chicken, bacon, and pesto Alfredo sauce. It was phenomenal.
