The best venue in Long Beach! Owners made the entire process so easy and we made it exactly what we wanted. Can't wait to book our next party!

The image shows an indoor event space prepared for a birthday celebration, featuring tables covered with black and orange tablecloths, white chairs arranged around the tables, and a decorative backdrop resembling a castle or inflatable structure. A sign on an easel welcomes guests to a Harley-Waight themed birthday party, with a floral arrangement at the base of the easel. The space has a modern ceiling with black and white lighting fixtures.

My experience at The Loft was more than I could have imagined. Dominique made the entire process easy from the very first tour of this beautiful space for my son Harley's 1st birthday. I knew this was the perfect venue the moment I walked in and saw Dominique wearing a Harley-Davidson shirt, the exact theme of my son's party. It felt like the ultimate sign. The complimentary hour for setup was such a blessing and more than enough time to prepare. Dominique went above and beyond by helping pull down tables, offering layout ideas, and lending a hand with things he didn't even have to do. His extra gestures did not go unnoticed. He genuinely made sure I was set up for success and had everything I needed and more. My guests absolutely loved the venue and several even inquired about booking it for their own future events. Two standout features that drew me to this space were the changing table in the bathroom (which many other venues surprisingly did not have) and the ample parking available for all my guests. Both were huge pluses, especially when hosting a kid-friendly event. Thank you again, Dominique, for making Harley's first birthday such a memorable and seamless experience. I truly appreciate everything.

So many great things to say about this venue. I found it through a Google search. The communication with both Dominique and his wife was excellent from start to finish. On the day of the event, they were both present, offering advice and helpful tips on where to set things up. This was especially appreciated because I felt a bit overwhelmed at first, but once the round table layout came together, everything flowed perfectly. The space truly is a blank canvas, you can really make it your own. I hosted about 70-80 guests, and we fit very comfortably. There is only one bathroom (beautifully kept), so keep in mind guests may have to wait in line briefly. A large garage door opened up to beautiful natural light and to a nice breeze, and there are also fans and AC available. There's plenty of parking, which is a huge plus. The fridge and cooler provided were incredibly helpful and saved me the time and energy of having to bring an extra cooler. The booking process was easy and straightforward, and the complimentary hour for setup was greatly appreciated. Cleanup was much easier than expected, especially since Dominique helped make the transition smooth. All of my family members told me I did a great job booking this venue and I completely agree. I also really appreciated that I never felt like I was being watched. Dominique truly instilled trust in us and allowed us to relax and fully celebrate. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a well-run space with attentive hosts.

We held our baby shower here last month! It was a great location for the amount of guests. Charlotte and Dom are very good at communication whether it's through text or call. The process to secure the venue was easy through email as well. The space is basically a blank canvas and they both had good suggestions on how to have the layout if you need guidance. You can use either round tables or rectangle tables or both and chairs are included. I loved that there was a front room/space for our food tables and then we had the main space for the guests and dessert tables. It was really nice to have the "garage" door lifted open in the back too because it made the venue feel more open. There's enough parking around the building and in the street. Charlotte and Dom are very easy to work with and were quick to answer questions we had the day of the event. We loved that everything went smoothly! We highly recommended this venue if you need a cute modern space for up to 100 people!

The Loft is such a great flex space to host any type of social event. I recently had the opportunity to attend the grand opening and was very impressed by the layout and design of this space. It's all very modern, has a kitchenette, very clean and modern restroom and ample storage space. One of the perks of hosting an event here is that they have tables and chairs available if needed so there is no need to bring your own. The venue is located in a prime location near the 405 fwy and there's plenty of parking for guests. I would absolutely consider booking The Loft for any upcoming events and will definitely recommend this to anyone. Amazing space and amazing owners!

We had our son's 1st birthday party here. First of all, it was a pleasure working with the owners from start to finish. Open communication /land so helpful every step of the way. Reasonable pricing for such a beautiful well cared for venue. This is definitely the place to have your event. All of our vendors loved the location as well. I wish I had better pictures!

Event space decorated with pink, purple, and gold balloons arranged in arches and clusters. The room features round tables with white and pink tablecloths, set with pink plates, gold utensils, and champagne glasses. The background includes princess-themed cutouts and a decorative arch with floral accents, indicating a celebration such as a birthday party for a young girl.

The Loft is a beautiful venue! Family friendly, great customer service! My baby's party turned out perfect. I'd definitely book with them again.

Beautiful venue - A decorative display features a large arrangement of balloons in black, white, beige, and gold colors, clustered around illuminated letters spelling 'LOVE'. The balloons vary in size and are arranged to create a festive backdrop, with the letters lit from within, enhancing the visual impact for an event setting.

My wife and I discovered The Modern during a special event right before I proposed, and we knew that if we ever got married, this would be the place. Following our engagement, we had a tour of the place with Mary, and we were 1000% convinced with the place since Mary came with the package lol. The communication throughout the course of our planning was outstanding, and both Abel and Mary addressed all our inquiries and concerns without hesitation and with clear answers. While the conditions of the contract initially seemed rigid, all guidelines and expectations were stated clearly, and both Abel and Mary provided all the support necessary to ensure the vendors understood and executed per the contract accordingly. All terms of the pricing were transparent, and we found the costs to be worth every penny, as we were 1000% satisfied with the venue. Through the course of our two-year planning, Abel and Mary were available and offered the walkthroughs necessary for the vendors and us to plan accordingly and execute an impeccably perfect wedding. Mary did an outstanding job and exerted so much patience with both my Wife and I through the course of food and drink tasting. She assessed our preferences and perfected our specialty cocktails and food menu to reflect my wife, our guests, and I. We appreciated the opportunity to host our rehearsal brunch at their Kitchen and Bar located below the venue. Our guests enjoyed getting a small taste of the delicious food and drinks they'd be having the following day at the actual wedding. The day of the wedding could not have unfolded so perfectly, both aesthetically and logistically. Abel and Mary coordinated and collaborated in unison with our group of vendors, and they really outdid themselves by providing the foundation to our dream wedding, literally. They did an amazing and efficient job at flipping the venue space for the reception. All while our guests were enjoying themselves in the lavish lounge during cocktail hour. The venue itself is perfect. It is very modern, clean, spacious, classy, and their furniture and greenery were the perfect accessories necessary to complete our wedding day. And that's not all. The VIEWS are one of a kind as the venue has an entire wall space made up of windows that overlooks Long Beach Airport and an outdoor terrace that allowed us and our guests to enjoy the views. We literally had airplanes flying up and down during our entire wedding, with a grand exit of us flying off in a helicopter. My wife, our guests, and I cannot believe how perfect the entire day turned out. They will not stop raving about how perfect and beautiful everything turned out. From the food to the drinks and the wonderful bartenders, and of course to how magically, beautiful our wedding was. None of which would have been possible without the fantastic venue, Abel, Mary and their team. While we are saddened to turn the chapter from the wedding planning and wedding, we are so so so happy we chose The Modern. The Modern and team will forever be embedded in our hearts and beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Mary, Abel, team, and The Modern!

Walking through the home and gardens truly felt like stepping back in time. There's something incredibly special about being able to see and feel how people lived in the past--it creates a deep sense of connection and nostalgia that's hard to put into words. For me, the visit was also a moment of reflection--appreciating the lives and efforts of those who came before us, and how their contributions shaped the world we live in today. In such a fast-paced, modern era, it felt especially powerful to immerse myself in a place that preserves history so beautifully. I even remembered visiting here as a child, and coming back as an adult gave me a whole new appreciation for it. It's more than just a historical site--it's an experience that invites you to reflect, learn, and reconnect. I highly recommend visiting. It's a beautiful reminder that Long Beach is full of incredible history and hidden gems worth exploring.

I noticed right away that there were a lot of teenagers spending time around the space, and it made perfect sense because the atmosphere has that lively and upbeat energy that teenagers really connect with. The lighting, the open layout, and the way the rooms are arranged all make it easy to move around, talk, and enjoy yourself without feeling crowded or rushed. What really stood out to me was how comfortable it was to simply exist in the space. Nothing felt strict or stiff, and it gave everyone, especially the teenagers I saw, the freedom to be creative, take pictures, and enjoy the moment in their own way. Even though it was my first time visiting The Grand Event, I did not realize how much there was to appreciate until I walked through and saw how thoughtfully everything was put together. I loved how natural it felt to have fun there, and I never doubted that the experience would turn out exactly the way I hoped it would. It honestly reminded me of the same playful excitement I felt at places like Funko Hollywood, where the environment itself makes you feel younger and more energized. I have lived for 24 years, but with the youthful mindset I discovered in the summer of 2024, still physically and mentally 18 with a prefrontal cortex that is more developed than the average 25 year old, I felt completely in sync with the vibe of this place. The Grand Event is one of the most enjoyable and inviting venues I have been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a place to have fun, feel confident, take pictures, and enjoy an atmosphere that truly supports their creativity.

False Advertising and Total Failure of a "Speakeasy"…read more This place should not call itself a speakeasy. According to their website, they are strict about dress code, reservations, and no large parties. None of that was enforced. People arrived wearing sports clothes, tennis shoes, and flip-flops, and a group of more than 10 people was allowed in. That group was loud, drunk, and screaming, completely destroying any speakeasy ambiance. We had a reservation booked one week in advance for 2 tables of six, yet by 8:30 pm, we were told no food was available, despite the bar being almost empty. The water was already on the table when we arrived and tasted strongly of chlorine, with no ice. The waitress was clearly new, untrained, and unprepared. She did not know the menu, didn't know how to take an order properly, and provided no guidance whatsoever. There was one bartender Ricardo, who took over an hour to prepare cocktails and showed no sense of urgency or care. The dramatic cocktail descriptions sounded impressive, but the drinks did not match the descriptions at all. Because of the delays, we were never even able to properly toast or celebrate our friend. The charcuterie board took forever and arrived with an absurd amount of cheese and only six pieces of bread. To make things worse, part of the food we ordered never arrived at all. The live jazz band advertised and promised never showed up. When asked, the staff responded with: "I don't know, they were supposed to be here. I don't have their phone number." That level of disorganization is unacceptable. At the end of the night, we were shocked to receive a check close to $600 for two tables, despite each person only having one cocktail and shared food. The bartender, Ricardo, approached us and said: "Well, sorry, we really tried tonight! It wasn't the best, but we tried." Honestly, that comment made the experience even more frustrating. I can't imagine how bad it would have been if they hadn't "tried."That statement perfectly summarizes the problem -- trying is not enough when everything fails. I would not recommend this place for a speakeasy experience. This is not a speakeasy. It's a poorly run bar hiding behind a concept it does not deliver. Do not recommend.

TGIS catering runs the coordination of the event so my review will focus on the service overall through them. I worked with Jeremy and he was gracious and patient with me throughout the entire process. I do have to add that I had to follow up with him a couple of times but overall no big deal especially since I asked a million questions along my year journey with them. Anastasia helped coordinate the event right before the event took place and the day of this past Saturday. She was diligent and detailed oriented and a pleasure to work with just like Jeremy. Where to start- oh yeah, the food. FANTASTIC SCRUMPTIOUS, DELECTABLE!!! Let's be real most venues offer packages and given the costs most i individuals order chicken and guest end up getting rubber chicken with soggy veggies. Not here. Not at TGIS. My daughter chose the pesto breast of chicken she had at the tasting. Side hi to the tasting! It's a true experience with the food the drinks and the decor, and the tips you get from the owner. Anyway, I was leaning toward braised beef I had but my daughter really pushed for the chicken and she said some guests may not eat red meat do zi stuck to the chicken for main meal and all beef appetizers for the cocktail hour I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on the chicken My brother and my son actually loved it and they don't care for chicken and that's because it was moist, it was simple not drowned in some sauce. It had a little pesto but that's all it needed. Perfectly seasoned. Perfectly elegant. Veggies cooked to perfection. The carrots had a slight al dente texture. So yummy. The lemon greek potatoes were heavenly. Again, my mon-foody daughter chose this menu and it was so good. Oh and the greek salad was fresh, elegantly plated and served witn the perfect amount of salad dressing. The bread-my only complaint is that there was not way more of it. Ed got s variety of sourdough, and three other kinds. I just remember the sourdough because it looked like mini baguette and tasted fresh. The crumb and the bread it self was spot on. I also ordered appeyoand the one piece of beef wellington was sheer joy and perfection. I ordered 3 other kinds of beef appetizers but my guests literally devoured them and J had about 20 teen girls that were the main eaters Mo exaggeration. So good. The event ran smoothly. The reception hall just beamed like a storybook dance hall. The patio where we had the blessing looked amazing all set up with mahogany chairs highball tables and lounge furniture were so classy. Finally Jetemy recommended the DJ and the linen company and zi couldn't be happier with those services as well. So listen to your coordinator and at least make a couple of calls.
