This gave me much convenient to visiting my friend who studies at Duke. For price, very friendly. I spent only $156 for my stay, which was just $78 per night! Besides, the room was spacious and had everything I needed, including desk, small kitchen and a refrigerator. I also like it's wooden floor which gave me a sense of nature and help me relax after busy work during daytime. Most importantly it was even cleaner than some 4-star hotels I have stayed. At this price I did not expect it to have breakfast at all, but at least I was surprised that I got daily room cleaning without request! The front desk was also very nice. Thus, considering all these factors I would give 5 stars without hesitation! It would be THE hotel to stay if you want to save money and be close to campus!

It's not the greatest location, so when you're in an area where there's nothing to do, I think a nice hotel makes everything feel better. Like I said, I was exhausted, so as soon as hit the bed, I slept like a log. There's just something special about Westin beds. The bathroom was so spacious, as is the shower in said bathroom.... I feel like it's the kind of shower the promotes not showering alone. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and modern and what I expect from a Westin. I look forward to my next stay here.

There are a lot of pros to this hotel. - friendly staff - location - cookies in the evening - pantry/store with limited snacks/drinks - indoor pool -exercise room -cornhole and outdoor sitting area - good breakfast that's clean and well stocked (I love the omelets) and they offer sugar free drinks (they're not great but I appreciate the thought) Cons: - the beds are hard and the number one reason I'm debating on not returning to this location - hit or miss with housekeeping in the rooms -shower only no tub - can be hard to get out of parking lot depending on time of day I wish the beds were comfortable. Every time I stay here I can't sleep. That's the number one reason I'm looking for a new hotel. The staff has been great and we've never had an issue. The breakfast is good and the breakfast staff keep the area clean and stocked. I love the fresh fruit and omelets the most. I'd love to see some better quality sugar free drinks. The Hotel staff had no recommendations on what what I should do. I had to make the recommendation to move to another room? What needs improvement is better training of the staff nobody had any knowledge of protocol plus there was only one person working that night and could not leave the front desk. I reached out to the general manager Mr Frederick Pittman and also the assistant manager Miss Sutton and no one seems to be able to give me any assistance on how I will be comp for the inconvenience. And, let me add that I am a handicap person so it was difficult for me to move all my stuff to another room. I would not recommend this hotel. As a Hilton Honors Silver member, they do not offer complimentary bottled water. They use a "green initiative" reason about reducing plastic, but still sell bottled water for $4 each. They do have "refreshing stations" with still, alkaline, and sparkling water, which is nice--but you must bring your own bottle. To me, if guests are spending their money with Hilton, a simple bottle of water shouldn't be too much to offer. Another major inconvenience: valet-only parking at $30 per day. Since it's downtown, you really have no choice but to use their valet unless you want to hunt for outside parking. The valet team was cool and friendly, but it's still an extra cost--plus you have to tip every time they retrieve your car or tip at the end of your stay. That adds up quickly. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the rooms are very small. Tiny dorm-style fridge No microwave No iron or ironing board, only a steamer Just not the level of comfort, space, or amenities I'm used to in the Hilton brand One thing I did like is that Tempo is connected to Homewood Suites, and you can choose where to eat breakfast. Homewood Suites offers a complimentary buffet-style breakfast, while the Tempo side has a café and bar where you have to purchase your breakfast. The café staff, bar staff, and most of the front desk team were very nice--no complaints there. But overall, between paying for breakfast, paying for parking, paying for water, and tipping valet every time, this stay was more expensive and less comfortable than it needed to be. This was my first and last stay at Tempo. It's simply not my cup of tea. I'll be sticking with Embassy Suites, where I get more space, better amenities, and the level of comfort I'm used to.

The elevators are interesting in that you choose your floor number from a key pad and it tells you which elevator to take. Inside the elevator there are no floor numbers. Worked well. I checked in around 7pm on a Saturday for a one night stay…read more I was not given a mobile key and my room ahead of arrival, which has been the case for every other hotel I've stayed at this year. I booked my reservation with a card that I always use for my hotels. I asked front desk to charge that card (which has never been an issue with other hotels).I was told that I needed to physically wipe the card for incidentals but I didn't the have the physical copy, only in my Apple virtual wallet. I asked if I could just use a different physical card just for incidental charge and they charge the card I booked with for the hotel reservation. The staff member told me yes. However, when I checked my account after stepping to the side, I saw that she charged me the room rate only (no incidental fee!) When I asked her about it, she said that was the "only way" to check me in and couldn't separate it. This is concerning because she had just told me it was possible. I am more concerned that when she saw she couldn't do it, she did not inform me at all. She told me that a manager would contact me if I wanted to use a different card but a manager never reached out to me before my stay ended. I can confused as to how they say they were unable to charge the card I booked with because let's just say I did a late cancellation or didn't show up... they would have charged that card... I will note that this was my second time here at this hotel and later found out (through customer service rep) that some hotels require a physical card when you stay there the 1st time but typically not for subsequent stays. I'm titanium member and she didn't acknowledge my status or tell me about the lounge access or ask me how many keys I wanted... these were all things she did for the guests who checked in after me, which is witnessed. After she was done checking in that guest, I asked her if I would have access to the lounge (which is the delta pantry). She told me yes. However, when I went to go to the pantry, I didn't have access, so I had to return to the front desk and get a new key. I also had to go back to the front desk to ask for the mobile key, which I requested when I checked in for the app. She told me she would sent it to me. Needless to say, I never got it. I also had to go back and confirm my late check out because the app only showed it as being "requested" but not granted. When I asked, she told me "I see the request" but never said it was granted, which led me to ask the follow up. At other hotels, they tell me about the hotel, tell me my late check out if confirmed, acknowledge my status, and use the card I saved on file. This check in experience was very dry disappointing to say the least; I should not have had to go back to the front desk 3 times to address issues and receive what should've been exemplary service from the beginning. Outside of the check in experience, the hotel itself was fine with no issues. I had a pleasant stay during my first visit a couple months ago as well. Parking is free, which is always nice, and they have a 2 on site eating establishments. I did get breakfast from one of them and it was enjoyable.

I didn't hear airplanes either. The hotel offers free parking and has a complimentary shuttle to the airport. The hotel was renovated in 2021 or 2022 when it became a Marriott property. So it has a modern style, with painted hardwood floors, clean lines, and an open shower. The room had a reusable carafe and hydration stations on every floor. Check-in went smoothly and was pleasant. I was given a layout of the hotel. The fitness room is located on the 1st floor, and the Pantry on the 2nd. I was given a card with the location of things and how to connect to WIFI. My room was clean. I checked the lotion bottle first thing, and this one was new, thankfully. The tv was a good sized and the remote control was in plastic to show it was disinfected. The tv had a lot of stations, I stopped scrolling at 100. My interest was in the March Madness games this time, but I like that there was variety. When the sun was up and light was coming in the big window, there was enough lighting. But I found it dark at night with no overhead lighting and shades on the lamps. The shower was a walk-in without a door and was a good size. I would have liked more water pressure, but the temperature heated up quickly. The hotel has a restaurant on site that I do not recommend, but if you are Platinum or above, there is a Pantry available on the second floor. It was kept well stocked during my stay with water, juice, soda, granola bars, chips, bagels, cereal, apples and a candy machine. The coffee maker was broken, though. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would return.

And the convenient West Franklin St location, just a short walk from the UNC campus, makes the Graduate an ideal spot for anyone visiting the university for a ballgame, a student tour, or just to check up on your Tar Heel. There are a number of restaurants and bars within walking distance, including the Crunkleton, He's Not Here and Carolina Brewing. Don't want to leave? There's also a small restaurant and bar right off the lobby. Reservations can be tough to secure on gamedays and graduations, so book early. But if you can manage to score a room here, you might just discover your new favorite lodging spot in Chapel Hill.
