We all had a fun time. It was a little frustrating at times but we asked for hints and help was right there. Will go again

Very cool! Escape rooms are awesome and with this place we…read morehad a great experience. Today we tried the new Indiana Jones Temple of Doom themed room- a blast! The puzzles were very interactive and fun. The decor for the room was great. We had a group of 5 for the room which was great being able to have us all in the room and it wasn't super big but we were all able to still fit and move around. The staff were very friendly and even were able to get us into our room early which was super nice. After we finished our room they let us take any pictures we wanted, after you do an escape room I always recommend a team photo. Location is a newer industrial park with lots of parking and a couple food places nearby. There are bathrooms and lockers to lock up your stuff. The graffiti walls are a great touch! There is only a little bit of seating and nothing interactive to do while you wait for your room in the lobby but they are using their space for the escape rooms so I can't complain. This location is new and has only been open for 4 months and it sounded like they are slow on Sunday's so it might be better to make your bookings then if your looking for a specific time frame. Hits in abundance! The nice thing was you could push for a hint anytime. Unlimited hints definitely took the stress away and boosted our confidence to take on this room and escape! If you get stuck on a puzzle for 10-15 minutes call for a hint is what they recommend. Check it out!

I was disappointed this time around. A couple weeks ago my friends and I did the prison escape…read moreroom. Based on the numbers they provide on their website it seemed like it would be a good challenge. It really wasn't. Also we were mislead by what one of the staff told us when he was giving us the rundown of the room. *****SPOILERS***** The way this room works is that you're trying to escape from prison. You start in a cell and once you escape you quickly find out there are two other rooms that you have to get through. All of the puzzles are very sequential and there's nothing really tough about this room. You're just following a path laid out with puzzles that aren't that hard to figure out. My group escaped with one hint given. The hint was given on the final puzzle where you have to find the three police badges. One of them is in the rubiks cube. What threw us off about this one is that the staff member at the beginning of the room told us that anything we found in each room wouldn't be needed for the next room. This isn't true since you have to go back to the first room to solve the rubiks cube. This is also the only puzzle that makes you do that, that takes you out of a sequential order. This would be fine if other puzzles had things that threw you off or took you back and forth through the rooms looking for hints. But they don't. Kind of a poorly designed room. Also a boring one for the lack of diversity in the puzzles.

Puzzle # 1 - What the heck is an Esxoss Manway? Puzzle # 2 - How do I even pronounce Esxoss? And S into an X? My tongue is confused! Boasting itself as Calgary's Only High Tech Escape room, Esxoss Manway incorporated some very cool multimedia tech into the room. The story line for the Inception (not actually Inception) room was more elaborate than I've ever seen in an escape room. It was really cool to see, but at the same time it would take some really intense script writing to get this thing to make sense. I keep referring to Inception, so I might as well keep with the example - if you've seen the movie, you may very well have been left with a strong feeling of "what in the #@*! even happened?!" Well, you're onto something because the same goes for this puzzle room. It was fun and very bold that they tried to take it to a level past "Hey, you! Escape this room!" and incorporate a full on murder mystery, but in practice I'm not really sure it added to much to the experience. I've played some basic plot lines with very creative puzzles, but this room was kind of the opposite. There were some very interactive features that are exciting and well thought out. At the same time, there were some puzzles that I felt missed the mark. It wasn't even a case of us not being able to solve them, but there were some definite leaps of faith along the way, and a few clues that were a pretty big stretch. If you're down with math, Esxoss Manway will be your jam, there's quite a bit of it. Don't be surprised to find yourself self writing number down and doing some good ol' fashioned long division. When the calculations get really hard, however, they might hook you up with a calculator. Not a spoiler! Or is it?! NO, it's not... Or.. is it?! Go and find out!

You would get better use out of your $23 by throwing it in the back of a random truck and thinking for 60 minutes about where it ends up. - conscious consumer
