But Michael was very understanding, patient. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows his numbers very well. He gave us great guidance and provided many options when we were looking for a home loan. He would not hesitate to provide us a breakdown at any time and was always prompt in sending us a estimate as soon as we were ready to put down an offer on a home. There were times when we placed an offer and we did not get the home but Michael was always upbeat and would even look for similar homes and suggested us homes. He was very prompt with the paperwork once we decided on a home and got us a very good deal. He has always been ready to explain anything about the mortgage to us. We highly recommend Michael. Give your business to him - someone you can trust.

I've had a many good conversations with my State Farm agent and she has really looked our for my interest to ensure I am covered properly. It's not just a jingle friends Statefarm really is there. In a world with so many choices and so many agents trying to get your business promising you the world, it's soothing to know that there are agents who will not only get you good rates, but give you caring good service like Anna does, as well (not just when they are threatened to lose your business). She speaks English and Korean so there is no language barrier with her agency and she has given good advice when I needed or asked for it. I'm also a fan of Nationwide Insurance and can testify to that company as well, but if you are thinking you need an agent who will take care of you personally and handle your insurance needs professionally and with the touch of sophistication and class, give Anna Kim a call, esp if you're in need of an insurance agent. Kind of like Larry H Parker, she'll fight fo you! (i think...) 2 thumbs up and a pulsating bright 5 red yelp stars for Anna Kim, State Farm Insurance Agent. Thank you and have a positive day.

I wish I had read reviews on Rodney Mason, Guaranteed Rate prior to deciding to give him my…read morebusiness. Rude, caddy, condescending, and unprofessional. He obviously makes loads of money and does not need repeat or referral business. After his all caps, highlighted in red and twice increased font size reply to my email requesting clarity - I chose to take my business elsewhere. After all, there are many loan officers in Atlanta who appreciate their clients or at least can pretend they do. Customer Care: Please review the 4 emails previously sent between loan officer Rodney Mason and myself. As you can see, I ask for a withdraw on several occasions with no response. After I inquired on current % rate(s) I was then sent numerous emails from two employees demanding I pay the loan/appraisal fee ($825.00) prior to 10 day due diligence period ending and or the contract to go "binding". I let both loan officers know that the home inspection had not been completed and the HUD inspector had not been out either. He lied and mis-represented, explaining I needed to pay prior immediately prior to the loan going to underwriting. I did so with hesitation, and expressed so via email. This loan has been requested to be withdrawn in writing, via txt, and by phone days ago. This loan should not still be active in your system nor should Guaranteed Rate still be holding $825.00 for an appraisal that was never ordered for a contract that never went binding. Still waiting a response.

Rodney received ALL of our documentation and still never gave us a "yea or nay" of qualification. That didn't stop him from having us get started (an out of pocket payment of $400) with the 203K consultant of his choice. I stopped working with him at that point, because we were told we had to pay for even MORE services OUT OF POCKET before the loan could be approved - - all before knowing if we even QUALIFIED! Find someone who cares about you & your money. P.S. - this is my second review. SOMEBODY had my first review flagged & removed by Yelp, claiming I did not give enough detail. Is THIS enough detail?

Since the moment we were connected, Greg was very helpful by working diligently on finding the most beneficial options that not only reduced our monthly payments but also lowered our interest rate sizably. The added liquidity of freeing up funds each month will help us build up a reserve to help address more costly repairs that will become due in time as we anticipate with a aging rental property. Living clear across the country at first seemed a bit challenging to conduct such an important financial transaction, but both communication and service went far beyond my expectations and Greg and his team worked hard to make the process smooth, efficient and expeditious despite the distance. I would most certainly recommend Greg, his team and BankSouth to any of my family, friends and colleagues where their services can be extended and beneficial. Thank you all for a job well done!

WARNING! Origination and Servicing are 2 Different Things…read more My experience with BankSouth has been a tale of two very different companies. The mortgage origination team was excellent. They were responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and made the loan process smooth from application through closing. If I were reviewing only the origination process, I would likely give 5 stars. Unfortunately, mortgage origination lasts only a few weeks. Mortgage servicing can last 15, 20, or 30 years. After closing, my loan servicing was handled through BankSouth's servicing operation and its sub-servicer, Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. When significant escrow and payment allocation issues arose, I spent months trying to resolve them through certified letters, phone calls, account documentation, escrow analyses, and formal written disputes. My experience was that BankSouth consistently deferred servicing matters to its sub-servicer, even when I requested executive review and intervention. Despite being the lender and loan owner, BankSouth appeared unwilling to independently review the servicing issues. Prospective borrowers should understand that the excellent experience you may receive during the 15-30 day loan origination process is not necessarily indicative of the servicing experience you may have over the life of the loan. Before choosing a mortgage lender, I encourage borrowers to ask an important question: "Who will actually service my loan after closing, and what role will the lender play if a servicing dispute occurs?" I wish I had asked that question before selecting BankSouth.

Do not be fooled by the positive reviews you read. This lady increases her rates like ordering from…read morethe take out menu. I have seen a rate increase of almost $100 in less than a year. And when you call to get information as to why there is an increase, the only response is "she's in a meeting and she will call you back". Keep in mind I have called her several times at the exact time and gotten the same response from her workers. And Paula is like a minion. You ask her a question and she spouts the same line " it's due to rate and policy changes" like she reading from the manual. I know insurance companies have never been in the best interest of the people but unfortunately it is something we have to have in order to drive. But this place will rob you of your money if you have any left. Pay attention to the increases and how often they are happening and that is your first sign to start looking elsewhere.
