My first visit to this clinic was absolutely unacceptable. The older lady at the front desk was incredibly rude from the moment I walked in. Instead of helping me as a first-time patient, she acted like I was an inconvenience and talked to me with an attitude that was completely unprofessional. I've never dealt with someone so disrespectful in a medical setting. Her behavior alone was enough to make me not want to come back. If this is the kind of customer service they think is acceptable, I seriously don't know how they keep patients. Went in for a cough that wouldn't go away. Left feeling like sh*t when the NP told me I'm obese and need to diet and lose weight. Let me set the stage. Quickly runs through vitals and asks questions about my cough. Then double checks my height and weight from my driver's license (from 8 years ago). I tell her the weight has changed and make a small joke about covid. She pauses and tells me I'm obese and need to start working out and dieting. I've played sports my entire life and do a HIIT workout every day. So I let it slide for the moment. Then 5 minutes later she hands me paperwork explaining my BMI and how to diet and lose weight. I explained to her how rude she is coming across and threw the papers away in the office. So if you want not only a diagnosis for your illness, but also be called obese based on an outdated membership, this is your place! But I can't image anyone would want that, so just avoid this one. Side note: I called into corporate to see if that second diagnosis is a requirement when I have a cough. I'll update when I know. read more

I went to 2 locations in one day. The first on Shipley Rd in Mesa turned me away for a refill of a non narcotic medication. I have been taking this medication for 10 years. The NO wouldn't write a refill because I didn't have the empty prescription bottle so refused to help. I left and went to a second location in Tempe on Rural Road and they helped me right away. I came in for a COVID test, I had been exposed 3 times in one day at work and I had been feeling a little sick. I had a scheduled appointment for 10:40, I showed up at 10:30 and they told me they were a bit behind, totally fine. However, when a lady that walked in 20 minutes after my appointment time without an appointment got to go back first I got a little annoyed. I had class at 11 and new I was going to be a little bit late, but my appointment was now 50 minutes ago and I am still waiting while walk ins get to go first. Also as a healthcare provider I know that some cases are seen as more important, but all the walk ins just wanted a shot. read more

Well, this was easy! I'm going to SE Asia next month, and considering the random outdoorsy things I'll be doing, it's recommended by the CDC for me to get a very rare vaccine, as well as a more common one, Typhoid. Sadly, only travel clinics really carry it (Japanese Encephalitis, in case you're wondering), and none of them take insurance. Sadder yet, my insurance only covers the vaccine when given in-network. After literally days of internet searches and countless phone calls, I came across the Little Clinic. They don't keep JE in-stock because it's rarely requested and insanely expensive ($275 per dose...and you need 2), but can easily order it. Well, that's what I did. I put in the request to order, and they were great communicators, letting me know when it was ready to go. When I went in to get the shots, they were ready to go. When I first walked it, I was pretty amused. Based on how professional they'd been on the phone, I sort of assumed this was a decently sized operation. It truly is a "Little" clinic. :) The one person working that day was the Nurse Practitioner. I learned from her that they only have a receptionist 1/2 time, yet they have evening hours and are open on weekends! What a great find! They do take a range of insurances, shown on their website, and they also list their cash prices for the vaccination kept in stock. Highly dissatisfied as the nurse practitioner refused me antibiotics and led to me getting a bacterial infection, another urgent care visit (to an actual good one), and more copays with pricy medication costs. I do not recommend going there. read more

I was on day 3 of a sore throat so I decided to go in and get checked for strep. Checked in online on a Sunday, showed up at the time it told me to (an hour later), and walked right in! There was one other person waiting but online check-in takes priority. However, I must say I thought it was odd the first girl was writing all my stats on a post-it note and parking at the Fry's is kind of a nightmare. Give yourself time to park and walk. The FNP Karen was wonderful. Very nice, friendly, quick, and informative. Got a flu shot in the same visit and had my prescriptions sent to the pharmacy 10 steps away. If I could give less than one star for The Little Clinic on Shipley Road in Phoenix I would. Nurse Practitioner was just short of rude the entire time. She was half an hour late despite there being no one in the waiting room. She was was far more interested in filling out her little boxes on the computer than anything else. She demanded to know why I was there on day three of not feeling well. Apparently in her mind I should have waited for longer. She did not want to hear all my symptoms at one time but insisted on putting them in her computer one by one. She questioned my pain scale rating. Despite the fact that I could hear a wheezing/crackle as she was checking my lungs, she told me everything was fine and my lungs were clear. I got a lecture from her about not knowing what color discharge was from my nose or lungs. She was not empathetic, kind or caring. I've always had good luck at The Little Clinic when unable to see my PCP. Today was the horrible exception. I'll NEVER go back to The Little Clinic on Shipley Road in Phoenix again. read more

I always get the service I expect here. Its comforting to know the same PA Karla is always there, I trust her with me and my family. When we had no insurance she/little clinic was our only link to medical care, now that I have insurance, I still go there for convenience even though TLC isn't always in my network it's affordable enough to keep us coming back. read more

If you like filling out forms, forms, and even more forms, this is the place for you. Not only forms, but the same forms multiple times! I just went in for a flu shot. I filled in the first set of forms online. When I got there, after waiting ten minutes for the other two people in line, I was directed to use the tablet to check in. It asked if I registered online. Yes, I did. I thought I was mostly done filling out information. Nope. I was just getting started. One form after another after another. Many requested the same information I filled out online. Putting the information in using the tablet was painfully slow. It wouldn't take half the inputs I put in and I had to do them again and again. Ugh! After 10 minutes of filling those forms out, I told the rep I was done. She turned around and handed me MORE @#$ forms on a clipboard! I asked if those were the same as the ones I just filled out. She said no. I had a seat and yes, they were the same ones! What a bunch of BS. I filled out and handed back the forms and was called in a few minutes later. It took 2 or 3 minutes to get my immunization. That's after probably 20+ minutes of filling out forms in triplicate. If you hate filling out needless forms, don't go there. Had a great visit with Karla Lodge, PA. It turned out that I had a simple cold and needed symptom relief. Not a single person was waiting in front of me, and the appointment was done in about 30 minutes. A prescription was called in to my regular drug store - very convenient! This clinic is in the Fry's supermarket that was recently remodeled. The remodeled clinic is brand new, looks great and was comfortable. read more

I have been to the Little Clinic on multiple occasions. Mainly because it is easier to get into than my primary care physician's office. I didn't have to wait very long to be seen by someone. The first time I went I was helped by Nurse Practitioner, Betty Hahn. She was so friendly and made me feel at ease. My symptoms were treated and I was on my way. I've try to request Betty on all my return visits because she is knowledgeable and someone I can trust. Today I walked by on my way to the pharmacy. Betty was out front and greeted me and asked how I was doing, and how my recovery went from my last illness. Now my daughter needs some vaccinations and I will plan on bringing her to the Little Clinic. Fast, Friendly, and Helpful. read more

This was the second time I have been to the Little Clinic and both times there has never been a wait. The receptionist was very nice but ever better Betty Hahn was just a wonderful caring person. It was nice to be able to see a "doctor" on the weekend and only have a co-pay, however it would be more helpful if the person treating our son gave accurate information. I thought my son had pink eye. Lyn looked him over and said it appeared he just had a cold. Great! The next morning (today) he woke up with his eye swollen and glued shut. We took him to our pediatrician... Pink eye. Another co-pay and 24 more hours without necessary drops and a missed day of work ... all could have been avoided if we had the right diagnosis from the Little Clinic. Booo. read more

Called the Mesa Little Clinic to enquire about getting an X-Ray for a potentially broken rib and was very annoyed by the grouchy, unhelpful tone I got from the woman on the phone. I completely understand if it is a service not offered, but responding in a snooty tone saying "we don't do that", then sounding offended when I asked if she happened to know info about getting it done at Urgent Care is poor. She didn't even say goodbye when I thanked her before getting off the phone. Good luck getting us to come for any services in the future. read more

This is the worst clinic ever....the first visit I had with I choose the save my spot and arrived 20 minutes before my time to be told that they had walk in who would be first. Then an hour and half later when I finally saw a doctor they told me to use the schedule an appointment if I ever need to come since they had to leave the room (which occurred while I was waiting for someone who never showed up) so I need to go again and I made an appointment arrived 10 minutes early as instrusted to this time be told it was a new pa an she was running behind due to. Being new so it would 40 minutes.. well I am tired of excuses. Then the icing on the cake they wanted me to wait the 40 minutes for them to ask the new dr if they could treat me..so they wanted me to wait 40 minutes and then maybe they couldn't see me..wow talk about feeling like you were back in the 1940 medical care..there is a clinic on every corner now a days and I recommend using a different one. read more

Showed up at 9am for a Life Event physical. The nurse practitioner was at the front and told me it would be awhile because if she HAD to do it, she would need to call someone who would have to walk her through it. She was trying to do something with the computer and told me I could wait until 11:30 when the next person came in. Also, she informed me that she told "them" not to leave her alone this morning. Frustrating because yesterday my husband went in and asked if today would be a good time to come and they replied, "Sure! Tomorrow morning would be great. We're not usually busy at that time."
