lady working the front desk is rude. She was the furthest thing from a patient care technician. don't expect to be seen by anybody here.

Something has changed at the lab at Georgetown Community Hospital. For the last 3 years I have…read moregotten labs there every 6 months. I don't know what has changed in the last 6 months but it has not been for the better. It took a while for them to input my labs and it took two of them to find, not all the lab names were the same as my doctor ordered, they no longer appear in my chart and no one can tell me why, one of my labs had to be sent out and it's been almost a week and its still not back. It has never taken this long! My husband had an MRI on his arm and the radiologist missed he had a torn bicep. Luckily he had a good ortho and he caught it when he looked at the MRI. I will no longer be going to Georgetown Hospital. If I need ER services I will use the new Baptist Health ER they are building or I will drive to Lexington. I've given them plenty of chances over the last 5 years and this year they have blown it for our family. I will not accept subpar care or customer service!

Great bedside manner which eased my anxiety. The surgical team of Dr Sarah Hayek was so professional and efficient. I was extremely scared before going in but I was treated so well. Also thank you to Leigh S. RN (PACU). Thank you all for taking care of me so well.

A bit over a year ago, I had planned to bring my child to a specific pediatrician in Lexington…read more Well, my baby was born a month earlier than expected, the day before I planned to visit the pediatrician. While at the hospital, I had to pick an on-call pediatrician from one of two places in Georgetown to come examine the baby. After having a sour experience with the other office, I choose Bluegrass Pediatrics. I met Dr. Knight that evening at Georgetown Hospital and liked him so much that we decided to stick with him at Bluegrass Pediatrics instead of the pediatrician in Lexington that I had originally planned to see. I'm glad we did. Dr. Knight has given us the best care, always listening to us -- even if he didn't agree with us. The staff members at Bluegrass Pediatrics itself are very friendly and polite. They are also quick to get us in for an appointment within the same or next day as needed.... and have a pediatrician available for phone calls when office hours are closed. The office may not be bright and flashy, but don't let that fool you. (They are also a family practice, it's not just for kids -- so your kids can go here for their entire lives!) There is also a separate sick and well area, although you have to walk through the sick area to get to the front desk/doctor anyway. Sadly, we are not currently patients at Bluegrass Pediatrics as of this month because of a change in insurance. It is a bit frustrating (especially as we had a medical need for our child recently), but it is what it is. I'm still thankful for the care my son received here. Highly recommend.

I'm going to have to agree with another review. I called ahead about getting immunizations for my…read moredaughter and was told that it wouldn't be a problem. We would just have to follow up with a wellness visit. We arrive for the immunizations and the story changes. I have to schedule an appointment that's over two weeks out. Inexcusable! I understand that there are certain protocols, but I can get the same immunizations at the health department or a Little Clinic. I chose to go to our healthcare professionals; not so professional after all. Frankly, I think rather highly of the physicians there, but they need to do something with the administrative staff. The woman that I interacted with showed "zero" empathy or concern. That's not how healthcare should work. I thought that it was a service industry; naive me. Respectfully, Dwayne Sutton

My husband has cancer. After Chemotherapy they put in a port because his veins are shot. Every…read moresingle time he goes there they don't use it for blood draws. I have asked them to, he has asked them to, they refuse. Always some excuse. I don't know whether they don't know how or what but someone should know. Today the nurse lied to my face and told me EMS put in the IV catheter when they did not. He even has a bracelet for it right where she put the IV! When I complained she told me I was verbally abusive and she would call security. I'm done with this place. I'll find him new doctors if I have to! Also six months after I paid an invoice they billed me again for another 70 saying I didn't pay enough! Worst place ever!

If I could give zero stars I would. I was admitted for a serious infection. The first night/day was…read moregreat but it went downhill after that. The nurses do not like being questioned. The nurse at one point said she needed to bring me my insulin pen and I looked at her like she was crazy. I wear a pump. What if they had administered insulin while I was asleep? When I asked why a particular med was not brought (evening) they said I'd already taken it. I absolutely did not. I know my med schedule and I am meticulous about sticking to it. Then they decided to abruptly kick me out because they needed a bed. Would not even allow me to wait until my ride got off of work. I was told to either take an uber (I live 30 minutes away in a less populated area) or wait in the lobby. My labs were still (especially my kidneys) and I was still anemic. This fits the description of patient abandonment and will be dealt with accordingly.
