Now, an update! My UTI ENDED UP MORE SERIOUS! I had gone to my primary Dod and referred to a Lexington Urologist, soonest appointment was 2 months! Serious issue, called Georgetown Urgent Care again and also talked to the same lady! She said I will see what I can do, in a Friday! She Called BACK! She had an appointment for me The next work day, Monday! All said and done, 3 visits, bloodwork, CT scans, a scope procedure, then the big one! A tumor removed, ALL before my doc could have gotten me a first appointment! All I can say is, Thank You Georgetown Urgent Care and My now favorite APRN Ashley Smith! She went well beyond anything near normal to help with my issue! read more

I've lived in Georgetown for two years now. I have lived in Chicago and San Diego. (I swear this is relevant.) I've had to take my kids here several times. Daughter had a stye on her eyelid, pink eye, and the flu. All separate urgent care visits. My son broke his thumb and we ended up going to Urgent care first. All great experiences. (Other than having to go in the first place.) I went in last night for a broken foot. They close at 8. I got there just after 7. Several people trickled in after. The staff were so polite. Now to the living in different big cities relevance. Typically, I expect no less than 4 hours in urgent care. My kids are 10 and 13. We've been to urgent care quite a few times every place we've lived. We've had some urgent cares wildly misdiagnosed pneumonia as diabetes and cystic fibrosis. Every time we've gone to Georgetown Urgent care, we don't have too much of a wait. Never four hours. The staff have been polite. The doctors are polite. Accurate and helpful diagnosis. Very impressed. Last night the doctor was at the end of his shift, past closing time and still seeing folks, and he had such a good attitude. He got me fixed up with a boot and confirmed the break and referred me out to Ortho. So - I definitely recommend if you have to go to urgent care, Georgetown Urgent care is a great place to go. read more

My husband went in over a week ago because he wasn't sure if he was bit by a spider or what but had a huge spot on his arm that was looking infected. He is also diabetic. He was treated with antibiotics and a culture was taken. We've never heard back from there with the results We've called several times and they always have an excuse why he can't get the results. My husband then gave permission to give the results to me since he can't get calls at work and was told they can't do that either. It leaves me to believe that they really aren't very concerned about the patients they see if they can't find time to call when the patient is available, if at all, and won't give the results to the designated person by the patient! I've never heard of such crap! read more

2 hours waiting. Understand people need breaks don't understand taking them infront of people who have been waiting. Don't understand why it's not explained after waiting that long WHY people who came in after are going infront of you. When going to to ask that question, felt like the response was unprofessional, like I was in the wrong. Professionalism goes along way. Communication goes a long way. read more

Sometimes you go to work, think it's going to be a normal day, and all of sudden something happens that causes your coworkers to urge you to get a tetanus shot. Yikes. Ick. I hate shots. Mum's the word on what happened at work, but just as a precaution, I decided to head out here for a quick exam and potential tetanus shot. I arrived around 3pm today (a Friday) to find a relatively empty waiting room (maybe 2-3 other people there) and smiling faces behind the front desk. They were quick to hand me an iPad to fill out my information and called my workplace to verify insurance. But then I kind of had to wait a half hour before being called in. Oh well. Once in, I was seen by the medical professional who inquired as to my reason for being there. She quickly brought in the doctor (?) who spoke with me for a little bit and agreed I should be cautious and up to date by getting a tetanus shot. She left and the other woman came back to apply an ointment and administer the shot. She was soooo sweet. I was admittedly really terrified about the shot because I thought it would hurt. It didn't hurt and she was talkative and gentle though the procedure. I really appreciated it. Definitely considering this place in the future if I need a quick medical consultation or check up for whatever reason. read more

I was kinda dreading having to go in to an urgent care when I was unable to get ahold of my doctor. It was Sat, and it was flu season. I walked in at about 3:45ish. There was no wait. Between filling out my medical info, having my insurance card scanned, paying my copay, being seen.....I was out the door by 4:30 with a script. Front desk was nice, and efficient. Technician taking my vitals and such was very nice. The doc was nice enough, but seemed a bit hurried and slightly irritated that my drug allergies and preferences  (a couple make me sick but not technicay allergic) limited what is normally used for my ailment. He was efficient and to the point, which I appreciate, but bedside manner wasn't very warm. I would have felt better if I had felt I was being listened to regarding my experience with certain scripts, and more effort put in to find an alternative, especially given that I ended up having a severe cardiac and neurological reaction to the drug prescribed,which I expressed reluctance to accept due to past, but less severe, reactions. My regular doc has now put that class of drugs on my "can not have" list. Oh well....he did what needed to be done, and that's what matters, right? All in all, I'd recommend this place. They're organized and friendly. Also seem quite quick in trying to get you seen and out the door. For anyone who has sat in an urgent care for 3+ hours (I have!), that is a relief! read more

One of the worst experiences I've had with an Urgent Care center. I have had TWO negative experiences with this establishment! The first experience my friend had an allergic reaction, and her head was SWOLLEN. They then turned us away and they sent us away. The second experience my friend needed a COVID-19 test. We called ahead to get a test and when we showed up they were CLOSED. Never coming here again! read more

My 75 year old sister went there because of a sinus infection. First she was asked to take a covid test and wait 15-20 minutes in her vehicle till the results showed her covid free. She was then taken to a exam room where she waited another hour and fifteen minutes before being told there was no doctor there but one should be coming soon. She was tired of waiting and left without being seen or treated. Why was she not told from the start there was no one there to treat her? read more

Came in trying to get a physical as one of my pre op requirements and they refused to do it because they didn't want to clear me for surgery which is not what I was asking for. I just wanted a regular height weight and BMI/ blood pressure physical and the doctor acted like she'd never heard of it before. I asked if I could just have a regular sports physical and they wouldn't do it because I didn't have sports physical paperwork which??? Been playing sports my whole life and have never walked in with paperwork they provide it. It was like they weren't listening and didn't want to see me out of the gate for some odd reason and she stated it was privately owned and they don't have to see anyone they don't want to. Keep in mind I had a calm demeanor the whole time and was only asking for a physical. Came to little clinic down the street and they did it no problem. The Georgetown, KY office of Urgent Care Centers of Kentucky (www.urgentcareofky.com) was perfect for my throbbing earache and poison ivy rash. I was in town for an event at the Horse Park and just needed a quick visit to the doc for some relief. After a 30 min wait I saw a nurse practitioner who was thorough but right to the point. I had a double inner ear infection. After a script for an antibiotic & a script for the rash I was good to go. They accepted my out of town insurance and I was able to fill scripts at the Walmart Pharmacy next door. About 90 mins from start to first dosage. Ahhh relief! read more

There is CLEARLY a sign that says "Please DO NOT enter without a face mask" and there is a member in upper management who ISN'T wearing a mask. She is clearly going against CDC health guidelines and could possibly end up getting the rest of her coworkers sick if someone comes in, gets tested and turns out positive. read more

Quick to get my COVID test taken and processed. A little weird on the communication but given the number of people getting tested, it's understandable. Fast results and friendly even though the lady stuck that swab all the way up my nose. read more
