Grouper ceviche

This restaurant was a fun experience. The food was good. From the photo posted the tacos are listed from top left to bottom right (Cowabunga, Surfs Up Hey Hey, John Wayne, K-pop shorty and then the bottom four tacos are the K pop shorty, Mr. miyagi, Bless up, and Surfs Up Hey Hey). I personally had the first four, highly recommend the cowabunga and surfs up hey hey, those were my favorites. My partners favorite was the surfs up hey hey with the k-pop shorty a close second. The service was solid, a little slow at times and they did mess up our dessert order but they quickly fixed the issue. The ambiance was very fun and light. Bathrooms were clean. Overall enjoyed our visit here

Mahi taco

I would not recommend this restaurant. The fish ceviche was chewy, and the chips were stale and not crispy. Both fish tacos were bland and lacked flavor, which was disappointing--especially since this place is supposed to be known for its tacos. The tacos were overpriced ($13 each) and not good.

Many changes over the last 10 years. Each change took me a while to accept it. Eventually, I was happy with their changes. The newest change is tacos, but not typical tacos complex, but wonderful tacos. The owners are charming, and the prices given the fact that all prices are expensive in the island is actually very fair. We will be coming back regularly

G'Day mate taco

Wonderful service. We were greeted with a nice woman who offered a cocktail while we waited for our table. We had the Galileo and G'Day mate tacos. I loved my Galileo and would order again. Lots of flavor. My friend said g'day mate didn't have as much flavors. We also had the corn dip and guacamole for appetizers. The guacamole was one of the best I've had. Chips seemed a little stale and could have been more fresh. For dessert, we split the key lime pie taco. Lots of lime flavor - good tartness. Ambiance was nice.

Great place on St. John, with a large bar and lots of seating. Many different taco options that a little pricey, but tasty. The best time to come is for happy hour cause to get one drink and the second for free! Totally worth it as the drinks are great. Service was friendly as well!

Overpriced and not as good as Lime Out, though it could be that everything tastes better on the water. Overly sauced shrimp taco but excellent fish taco. Beautifully simple, casual elegance. Island time service.

On the left is the cowabunga - beef short rib and shrimp. On the right is the tuna matata.

Great beach bar vibes at the Lime Inn in Cruz Bay, with eclectic twists on the modern taco! All of the waitstaff were very friendly. Highly recommend the cowabunga!

Surfs Up Hei Hei (okay, a lot of bbq) and Tuna Matata (delicious)

On a night where the island is experiencing a power outage, there are very few restaurants with generators which also means every restaurant is packed. The Lime Inn was the exception - probably because it's located on a not very lit street, but certainly not because of the service or food. The Lime Inn has a bright and fun atmosphere and the service was friendly and attentive. The watermelon cocktail was delicious and refreshing. The tacos were wonderful. I ordered the Surf's Up Hei Hei (shrimp and pork bbq), which I thought was a bit heavy on the bbq sauce. It could have used more slaw to brighten it up and give it some texture. It was okay, possibly just not for me. Another member at our table ordered it and liked it. I also ordered the Tuna Matata - which I thought was wonderful. The Tuna was seared perfectly, the slaw was delicious and bright. I wish I would have ordered two. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend!

First night in STJ in 7 years and came to Lime Inn. It didn't disappoint! It was a bit crowded but we got a 4 top by the bar. The outdoor seating and open air concept makes it lovely on beautiful nights like tobjh We started with drinks...the Hunters Passion was amazing! So fresh and delicious! The Harbor Cooler was light and refreshing. For appetizer we had the grouper ceviche with homemade tortillas. Really good and the chips had a nice kick! We all ordered a variety of tacos and you really can't go wrong with any of them. Two is the perfect amount! Definitely coming back!

Fried fish taco and eggplant and chickpea taco

Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The tacos were really yummy! This was our first stop on the island after a long day of travel and we were all happy. We had A vegetarian with us who had a lot of options too which is also always good!

Pulled pork taco

We were excited to try this place but unfortunately $260 (party of 5) for the worst tacos we've ever eaten. The "Surfs Up Hey Hey," "Galileo" and "Mr. Worldwide" were about a 7 out of 10. The other tacos we got literally 0/10. Roughly $12-15 per taco, lots of yummy sounding options but not executed well. One of the servers filled our water, completely missed the glass then walked away. We called them back to address what had happened and they apologized and brought napkins. I ordered another taco to replace my 0/10 one and I can't believe it was actually worse than the previous. My attached photo is supposed to be pulled pork. I picked up the taco which is why the bbq sauce is a little everywhere but I'm sorry, this just looks like someone **** in a tortilla.

Outstanding! We've been here for four days and this restaurant is everything plus more! Don't waste your time going anywhere else.

Everything is so fresh and packed with flavor, that you really can't go wrong with anything in the menu. The vegetable paella was delicious, the two tridatos we tried were fresh and bright with the different sauces on top, and the key lime pie was absolutely amazing. It is definitely the vacationers favorite spot, but I wouldn't say it's too touristy or anything. It gets a lot of attention because it's good and a nice place to eat dinner with your family on vacation. We sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly. The host was kind enough to try to squeeze us in anywhere he could so for that we are very grateful. The food took awhile to come out, but that's probably just island time stuff, and besides the place was PACKED. But our appetizers and desserts came out really quickly. We loved our time here and would definitely recommend giving it a try if possible! There is a good mix of seafood and "land breezes" on the menu, plus a couple vegetarian plates if needed. Perfect for cocktail and mocktails as well!

Surely this place had to be amazing with that long of a line and very limited reservations. Ok so there was good and bad, hence the 3 stars. The good, great ambience, open air with a good view. Adding to that, the food was stellar. Super fresh, great flavors and portions were good. Would definitely come back for the food. The bad... service, or lack there of. We were a party of 4 but must have been invisible. We got waters quickly but didn't order anything else. Not sure if that was a surprise to the server but we don't drink. It was all downhill from there. Took forever for us to order an appetizer and while it came out quickly, once again, it took forever to order our dinner. Food came out and was delicious. The server came by once to make sure we were ok but that was it until the bill came. He disappeared from serving us only to bow down to the table across from us. That table ordered lots of drinks and lobster so apparently they get preferential treatment and we get nothing. End of the day, while the service sucked, food was good. Might or might not go back.

They have inside and outside dining, with most of the outside dining having shade from the tree cover. We had heard their chicken dishes were very good, so we ordered the chicken and waffles, with gravy and a fried egg on top. The chicken was crispy and moist. It was really tasty and definitely made the meal. We also ordered their special dish of the morning which was a fried breakfast burrito with egg, sausage, avocado and a glaze of the chipotle sauce on the tortilla, with a serving of country potatoes on the side. The filling of the burrito was very good, but I think I would rather have this deconstructed than inside a flour tortilla. There were many other good options on the menu and I'm sure I will enjoy trying the other breakfast entrees I saw being served. The star of our meal was our server. She was absolutely fantastic and didn't miss anything from greeting us, to wishing us an enjoyable day as we were leaving. We enjoyed ourselves and would come back again.

You can see the boats and island lights at night. They also played great Latin music, of all kinds. The service was amazing. We had a young guy who was a local. He loved living on the island and shared some facts. My husband and I enjoyed the muscles to start. They had a very nice lemon white wine sauce and the serving was just enough. We were left wanting more to be honest, it was very good! Next we had the paella. I liked this paella, I did, BUT, it was not flavored as an authentic Spanish paella. I was disappointed about that, but I still enjoyed the dish. It was a bit spicy, more like scratchy lol, but had lots of seafood and the rice was cooked perfectly (imo). My husband finished with a unique vanilla azafran dessert. I guess they used the azafran in the sorbet and not the paella . I did not like this ice cream. It tasted like soap to me lol. My husband really enjoyed it. Overall this was a great choice for date night and we didn't feel like we were caught in a tourist trap, so win win for us!

So we followed some folks and landed at the inlet that led us to Karma. The ambiance was amazing. I said dang! Can I have some? The beer battered fish was fresh and not heavy. This is why I love island food. None of the processed seafood, mostly fresh. I appreciate that. The fries slapped too. The chicken tacos were also very good. No complaints, no edits with the food. The drinks? MAN, the spritzes were my choices. Loved them. If it was in the state, I probably would give it four stars but here to me it's a five. This island needs a good sushi restaurant. Everything we ordered was as good or better than what we expected This may be the most beautiful restaurant in St. John, With the beautiful view, I strongly suggest you come here at lunch or at dinner before it gets dark. It is just too beautiful, not to enjoy such a view I read other reviews before I came here. Almost everybody said everything was great, but the service was slow. Possibly the Restaurant was just starting to manage it properly but when we were there, I have nothing to complain about the service. I was very happy and I could come here weekly. Assuming I can afford it. It cost a lot. after tip for the two of us, it was over $500. I talked to the people at the table next-door because they were having meat. One was having a ribeye. I believe the other was having lamb chops. They both were very happy with what they got. That's great to know, because let's face it not everybody likes seafood. Many people who order a California roll at restaurants are not getting top Quality Crab. The crab in my California roll here was perfect. obviously other people appreciate this restaurant too, because it was filled. i'm thrilled I came to karma and I'm looking forward to be coming here regularly from this point on oh yeah, almost forgot because I'm not a big dessert lover. My wife ordered hot donuts with ice cream and whipped cream . We loved it, maybe I have to rethink about not caring about dessert. Bon appétit
