Harris is Palm Bay's cash cow so Wellington has made its best effort to be a cream of the crop day care. Unfortunately - it's not. In all fairness I have yet to come across a day care that doesn't consistently provide such a germ-friendly atmosphere that even doctor's are able to buy their second vacation homes treating all the kids that come in day in and day out with fevers, rashes, and ear infections. My real problem with Wellington though is their deceitfulness. I love how they bait and switch the diapers you send in with your child. You send in Pampers, and maybe you'll get Kirkland, Hugggies, or Luvs back. This makes a difference especially since not all diapers are created equal. I was told my daughter's white leggings had a streak of "mud" on them because they were playing outside only to find out it was diarrhea. I guess they don't possess the sense of smell. What's more -- they didn't even have the decency to change her soiled pants. Thanks Wellington. My daughter went to Sickington exactly 12 times in 2010 (3 times a week for 4 weeks). She went to the pediatrician 4 times to treat ear infections. But wait..there's more! After four years of saying good riddance to them I get a call from a collection agency saying I owed them $135 dollars for a week of daycare. Sickington had all my information, forwarding address, and cell phone number when we moved back north. They had 1,460 days to call me and resolve this situation without having to escalate it to a collection agency. And they didn't. Maybe they were just busy switching diapers around to get their billing squared away. Pro: We're not there anymore Con: Horrible daycare

My child has developmental needs that require patience, understanding, and appropriate support. Prior to enrollment, I communicated these needs to the facility and was given the impression that they would be accommodated. However, my experience after enrollment was very different from what had been discussed. During our time at the center, I became increasingly concerned about how my child was perceived and treated. At one point, I was informed that the facility primarily serves what was described to me as "normal" children, and it was suggested that my child was not an appropriate fit for their program. Ultimately, my child was dismissed from the facility. I want to emphasize that, in my observation, my child did not pose a threat to staff, other children, or himself. His behaviors are related to communication challenges, and he is able to respond positively to redirection when handled with care and consistency. I found the overall interaction with management to be unprofessional and, at times, dismissive of my child's needs. As a parent, this experience was both discouraging and deeply concerning. I am sharing this so that other parents of children with special needs are aware and can carefully evaluate whether this environment will be supportive and inclusive for their child. Every child deserves understanding, respect, and equal access to care, regardless of their abilities.
