I have had my kids at two places for care before and after school in south Jersey, this being the…read moresecond. The staff here is polite and accommodating. The cost is very reasonable. However, I am disappointed in the overall experience we had with my son. From the get go, we told the director he had a few developmental delays , one of which was late to potty train. He was three when he started, and there were at least two classes for kids his age. We were assured he would be placed with kids of similar needs. I learned a few weeks in that this was not the case, as one of his afternoon teachers made a comment about how "everyone else in his class is trained". Once we had begun the process of training with him a few months later, both at home and with the support of his public preschool teacher and IEP, he had frequent accidents at Under the Sun. The Director questioned whether the preschool teacher was lying to me about whether he was going on the toilet at school. Then I was told by the Director that my son had to be put in pull ups instead of the underwear that we were working so hard to get him used to because "there are too many other children in his class and to clean him up takes one of the teachers away from all the other kids." Again, didn't think he would be the only one In this situation! Finally, when the training was taking a longer time than optimal, the Director asked me if I was sure if speech was the only problem he had been diagnosed with. As a parent, one can imagine how this broke my heart. My son Is quiet and shy when he first meets new people, I get it. However I was repeatedly told by the afternoon care team that he doesn't speak and they "are really frustrated." Yet, when we put him on a different summer program at a nearby facility, he is a different kid. He is bubbly, talks constantly to everyone, including the teachers, and is overall just so much happier. I was quite disappointed at the fact that it did not seem like the morning and afternoon teachers did not communicate with each other. When I would pick him up in the afternoon, that staff would not know what my husband had brought in or discussed with the morning staff. This was frustrating. I was not present during the day to fully take in his entire experience, and I know he was fed, changed when soiled about 80% of the time, and safely put on and taken off the bus by UTS. However, these other experiences just put a very sour taste in my mouth and I was relieved to be able to take both kids out of this center at the end of the school year.

Every teacher my daughter has been in contact with is so happy to see her, and I feel comfortable asking any questions or making any requests concerning her care. The teachers have to be the best part of this school, and I don't feel capable of thanking them as much as they deserve. Little VIPs is such a fun school, even for parents like me who have stepped in the building twice ever, and I plan on sending my daughter here as well as any future kiddos until they're old enough to enroll in our town's school.

My dearest, only child (two years old) attends this day care. When I drop her off in the morning…read moreit feels great not to worry about whether or not she is receiving the best in care. My husband and I are new to the area and prior to us relocating, I spent weeks searching for a day care that would provide proper care in a caring, hygienic and learning-focused environment. I drove about two hours round trip to visit four day care facilities in the area and called numerous more inquiring. Just asking around, three people in the area, two from the local school district, and another, an educator in the area, mentioned Jumpstart Academy and how this facility was the best in the area. When I went to Jumpstart, I was greeted by Caitlin and Mary at the front desk who were extremely informative and professional. Although I was ready to sign up immediately, there was a waitlist!! I was devastated! I even sent my husband to visit and see if they had a new accommodation but to no avail! Other day care facilities I visited looked dirty and had old equipment. The classrooms were massive with tons of kids running amuck and having seemingly no organization. One facility smelled like pure urine as you entered the foyer! I left a down payment with a chain school in the area where there had been a waitlist that opened up. I wasn't entirely happy, but it was better than most. I made a last ditch effort and called and spoke with Suzanne before I took the plunge and filled out the paperwork for the other school. Suzanne, the owner, is exceedingly sweet and no doubt about it, she cares about not only her employees, but the children as well. Her manner put me at ease immediately. She was extremely accommodating and told me to come in because she would have availability for my dear daughter. My sweetheart has been with Jumpstart for 3 months. She is always happy to go "to school" in the morning. We have the option of viewing her classroom in real-time online during the day. We also have the option of paying for a lunch each day with yummy options each week such as pizza, french toast with sausage and grilled cheese! The teachers Julie, Sam and Val have treated my dear so well and they are always so willing to tell me about how my daughter's day went. I am eternally grateful to have "stumbled" on this facility online because I would have NEVER come across it otherwise because it is well hidden gem just beyond the railroad tracks! To sum up this review, I highly recommend Jumpstart Academy for the discerning, obsessive, highly-strung parent, like myself. This has been one of the best decisions we have made since we moved to the area!

We go a little out of our way to drop our kids off there, because there's just no other place like it near us. The staff is friendly and courteous. The building is very clean and has a great layout: classrooms for all ages, a multi-purpose room for play, and a computer room. They even have a couple different outside play areas. The owner, Suzanne, really makes you feel like family and she has established an amazing educational environment. The staff even helps toddlers with potty-training, which is invaluable. As for curriculum, they operate off of themes for different weeks and have related activities for the kids (even the babies) to do. I've received some of the most precious works of art from my boys because of the hard work and dedication of the staff. We just can't say enough about this place. First class, all of the way!!!

Review as of 2026 :…read more Overall, it's not a bad place to send your kids when taking into consideration: Fairly priced, considering similarly priced daycares are not as new. But you should keep expectations at basic level. Pros : Teachers and administrators do seem to have a good relationship with the kids. Bright and inviting rooms and playground. Playground padded floors, has awning for shade. When compared to other daycares around the area, the price is competitive. Please take into consideration the summer activities fees when looking for daycares, it is on top of monthly fees and not optional. Food is included. Kids were kept safe and never had any injuries so that's a plus, considering the caretakers are pushed to the max and stressed. Cons : It's more like a babysitting place than a school. I don't see the kids doing crafts or learning much. It's mostly just giving them paper and crayons, or the kids just running around in chaos. The caretakers are very young in their early 20s, only there temporarily. The caretaker to kids ratio is at the max allowed. Staff turnover is high, there is a new random face taking care of the kids every month. There is no big common play area for the kids to play in the fall/winter. In spring/summer they have outdoor playground. But when it's cold, they're stuck in 1 same classroom all day. No camera for you to watch your kids throughout the day. They can use a carpet deep washing, at times it smells musty. If you're just looking for an ok place to send your kids that's fairly priced, this is your daycare. If you want more of an active learning place with more attention spent on your kid(s), spend more for a better experience.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CENTER!!! Hands down the best out there. A good daycare is hard to find, but an amazing one is truly rare. My daughter started at TLE back in 2023 when she was just 2 years old. Having had my older son home for 6 years until kindergarten, the thought of sending my new 2-year-old to daycare absolutely terrified me. I was stressed and anxiety-ridden and toured every daycare in the area you could name, so trust me when I tell you this is THE ONE! TLE quickly became more than just a daycare for us--they became family. The staff is unbelievably caring, patient, and genuine. Every single staff member knows my daughter by name, and she knows them too. She lights up when they greet her, and even if I don't know all their names, the fact that they know hers and are truly excited to see her means the world to me. For parents looking for a safe and supportive environment, this center goes above and beyond. The classrooms are always clean, organized, and thoughtfully set up. The communication is amazing--I always know what my daughter ate, how she slept, what she learned, and get multiple pictures daily. Their transparency gives me complete peace of mind. The structure and consistency TLE provides are incredible. They balance learning with play so well. Education-wise, they are phenomenal. My daughter has learned so much--from early academics to social skills, independence, problem-solving, and imaginative play. The curriculum is legit amazing. It is engaging, age-appropriate, and actually fun. She comes home excited to show us what she learns EVERYDAY. Speaking as a teacher myself, what really sets this place apart is the genuine love they show for every child and their teachers dedication and passion to be there (these women are NOT just there for a paycheck). Everyone of the teachers my daughter has had celebrate birthdays, milestones, silly moments, and hard days all with the same level of care. They comfort, redirect, encourage, and cheer on the class as if they were their own. I could go on forever but if you are looking for a daycare where your child will be safe, loved, challenged, supported, and truly known, this is the one. Five stars will never be enough for what TLE has given us.

Hot black concrete yard in tricycle area - dangerous if kid falls Rusty fencing and rusty basketball hoop Old facility - outside exterior, basement isn't inviting. 2nd floor classes - harder to leave in emergency No apps - no updates No camera to watch This daycare is definitely not bad, but they certainly can improve those aspects listed.

UPDATE THEYVE DELETED MY REVIEW SO IM POSTING AGAIN…read more My son has been in daycare since 2 years old, never with any issues besides when he first started of course. When we moved to NJ he went to school as well in swedesboro. When we moved to deptford and transferred him to tutor time. Within a month, Hr would cry every morning, begging and pleading not to go to school. " I don't like school" "please I don't wanna go" etc. My husband and I just put it off because we just thought he was a normal 3 year old that didn't like going to school. He then would act out when we got home, terrible attitude, crying, hitting, it was almost unbearable. We talked to someone at the center and they mentioned how he wouldn't nap. Of course I know my child and I figured that could be a factor but they immediately dismissed any other concern. Fast forward a couple of months of literally heartache before and after school, Dmy husband gets a TEXT from his assistant teacher, saying she's quitting and walking out and she cares so much about our that she's worried about his safety because our son was being mistreated and she thought we should know. My husband immediately went to the school and talked to her, apparently two teachers were caught being high while "teaching" have been caught hitting children, falls asleep while watching kids and that they would purposely send our son home with sh*t in his UNDERWEAR just to inconvenience My husband and I because we were one of the last ones to pick him up for the day. I noticed on the cameras that this one teacher was ALWAYs sitting on her phone or the tablet they had. When my husband confronted the director she blew him off and offered half off tuition. My heart literally broke because our son was trying to tell us the best he could but he didn't know how. He's been at the learning experience ever since and has since never gave any issues going to school like he did before.
