Our trail guides John was very helpful and quite pleasant, along with Kristine and Roseanne. They took extra care personally assuring each rider was comfortable during the ride. We've had a proper instructions before going for a trail ride. Absolutely a friendly energy from everyone we interacted with. The facilities were well maintained, and the horses seemed super happy and healthy. Those horses were rescued and they seem truly cared for and loved and I respect any organization that takes such care of their animals. The teachers and assistants at the school are superb. In as little as two weeks, my preschooler's vocabulary has improved tenfold and he is now completely engaged in learning. It is apparent that the teachers here give a lot of thought to and take great pride in creating their lesson plans. As for my toddler, the individualized attention he receives here has greatly improved his cognitive and fine motor skills. Each day, parents receive a report that includes daily activities such as personal care (meals, naps, etc.), curriculum, and photos. This is very special for parents as it keeps us completely connected during the work day. Administratively, the school is run flawlessly. The Directors are professional, courteous and responsive to the needs of the children and concerns of parents. My only wish is that The Goddard School went beyond Pre-K! The level of care, compassion, individualized attention and age appropriate curriculum at Goddard Monroe is truly impressive and so appreciated by our family. We came to Goddard from another highly regarded center nearby, and I am so grateful we did. It's apparent to me that the teachers like what they are doing, and that transfers to how they interact with the kids. Both of our boys grew more fond of and attached to their teachers at Goddard in 2 weeks than they did in the previous year at their old school. The daily updates, pictures and reports are a nice way to feel connected to the kids during the day. It gives us great info to be able to engage our kids in conversation about their day. Along with the teachers, the Directors are amazing as well. They are accessible and have truly taken the time to get to know the kids. They also have their own kids in the program, which speaks volumes. Overall, I cannot recommend Goddard enough and we are so grateful to have found such amazing people to care for our children.

My husband and I stumbled upon Earthplace today while in Westport. We are so happy we did. Upon…read moredriving up you could see two distinct spaces; nature trails and main animal building. We weren't prepared for nature walks so we just viewed the trails. That is absolutely something we will come back to do. Today we decided to do the animal sanctuary. When you first go up to the building, make sure to look down and see the animal prints in the sidewalk. The price was $10 per adult (less per child) and we were happy to pay it since it went directly for the care of the animals. We started in the hall with the small critters. There is also a playroom for smaller kids. They have some centers and a huge tree in the middle of the room. There is a smaller kid section and a little nature movie theater. Very cute. We loved the critters and birds. Two in particular were VERY social. Pecans (an artistic dancing pigeon) and E.T. (a lovable turkey vulture). We spent a lot of time interacting with these two. We had some interactions with the staff and caretakers and it was pretty obvious these animals are well loved. The animals there are either surrendered or injured. We left with some items from the little shop-including art from Pecans. We will absolutely be returning. This was such a happy find!

The entrance to the building has a custom tile mural that is uniquely wonderful. You pay to view the animals are check out the dioramas, animals and exhibits inside.You can see the birds of prey which were rescued from the wild due to their injuries. You can go during feeding time. The entrance fees help to pay for the food and care of the animals. Wonderful space to get outdoors and appreciate nature. We saw a turtle, wild turkeys, chipmunks, birds and butterflies walking the trails. I will come back to enjoy this refuge and experience the postive effects of being out in nature.
