One thing i like about Bell's that sets them apart from other day care is they use an outside vendor for lunch orders and you can send your own milk, diapers and water. This gives additional flexibility to choose the food you want your kids to have and milk, water, diapers as per your preference. This is an important thing for me as we have dietary restrictions and ability to choose what your kids use and consume is important to me. Their facility is good and spacious, they have good outdoor area for kids and they have water play thrice a week. My son is learning a lot of things at Bell's. Attempts to meet in person to discuss my child's transition out of the daycare (with two months' notice given which I have copies of via email) were declined, and communication became passive-aggressive over email. While concerns I raised were ultimately addressed, the interactions left me feeling uncomfortable rather than reassured. My son came home with other children's' diapers and clothes on many occasions. There was so much disorganization. The owner monitors the comments of parents on private Facebook groups and is retaliatory towards them when they post anything critical. You will see this on their responses to critical reviews online as well. She sent out weekly emails reprimanding all parents for the actions of a few. I paid for an extra hour of care each day and came on time, often earlier than I needed to, but I still received these emails reprimanding everyone in the class. There was noticeable staff turnover, including two directors within one year. One departing director communicated to parents via email that the work environment was challenging, which understandably raised concerns among families. Some teachers appeared inexperienced and were frequently on their phones during pickup times, often requiring me to get their attention. While the teachers were kind to my child and did a good job teaching him, this was concerning. Information shared in the app was occasionally inaccurate (for example, meals reported as fully eaten when food was returned mostly untouched). The daycare itself is very small and lacks enough of a large open play space which is concerning, especially in the winter time. Parents were not allowed to enter classrooms to drop off or pick up their children. A friend of mine in town shared with me that her twin girls were coming home with bite marks on them and the owner denied that anyone was biting them and refused to allow them to look at the camera to see what happened. The communication style and leadership environment significantly impacted our comfort level as parents and ultimately led to our decision to leave. I am sharing this review to provide honest, respectful feedback based on our experience. I have noticed that some critical reviews appear to have been removed in the past. My intention is not to discourage others, but to offer transparency and encourage continued improvement.

Where do I start...My child started TLE river vale in September 2023. After rave reviews from…read morefriends whose children attend at other locations, we hoped to have the same experience. Upon our tour we were sold on nutritious meals, small intimate classrooms, clean environment, and caring staff. We were extremely misled by TLE. The first few months put our minds at ease with the access of the TLE app. This told a story of our child thriving, eating every meal and participating in activities. We came to find out the app was extremely inaccurate. Upon speaking with the teachers we were told our child wasn't eating at all after we've been lied to for months about our child's eating via the app. Not only was this extremely irresponsible of TLE but this was also neglectful to not tell us that he was going days without eating and posting photos "to show face". My child started with 12 children in the class in September. Currently the class has 16-18 children which is extremely unsafe! It is impossible for a class that size to be properly cared for with the number of teachers provided. When it comes to a clean environment TLE is NOT the place. There have been multiple instances at pick up where these is a mess of food left on the tables from earlier lunch. While I know kids are messy, my child would come back from school filthy which I'm sure contributed to the amount of urgent care and sick visits monthly. The teachers were very nice I felt bad they were dealing with limited resources and staff. Which makes the teacher turnaround at this center believable. Overall There were many occasions where my child was dropped off later in the day and I've seen teachers sitting at the children's table while the kids played on the other side of the room. I am extremely disappointed in this center and how they've handled situations with our family. The lack of receptiveness to our feedback in the past shows the lack of care for anything other than making money off packing these classrooms with kids. Do your research on these chain daycares before enrolling. I certainly will moving forward.

When considering a school for my son I knew that I wanted him to not just be another nameless student. I wanted him to belong to a community that was dedicated to him growing and learning as well has having fun and remaining safe while his father and I are at work. My son has been attending Rhymes and Reasons in Teaneck NJ for four and a half years. He is graduating in a few weeks to kindergarten!! During this time I have had the joy to watch my son flourish. He is lead by teachers with passion and I never have a doubt in my mind that he is protected. The school is consistent with its curriculum and rules while having an open door policy. I can drop in at any time unannounced if I want to! Here children are constantly engaged in play that teaches them their colors, numbers, vocabulary, as well as belonging, sharing, and leadership. Call me old fashioned but I believe that children learn best by getting up and DOING. I am happy to report that Rhymes and Reasons enriches its students with the same philosophy - there are no TVs there but there IS fresh air, toys, finger paint, and friendship! The school is pricey but when it comes to your children you get what you pay for and I am happy to invest in my son. When looking for a daycare I used Baby Center's guide to a good daycare. R&R meets every mark. Here is a break down: 1. A good daycare center should have a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and be known for its nurturing environment. R&R has 5 star reviews everywhere and Mrs. Marisa has lots of letters from parents talking about how much they love the school. CHECK! 2. A good daycare should have clearly established regulations for everything from operating hours to how to handle emergencies. The center should be able to supply you with a written copy of its policies. That way you know it takes its responsibility -- your baby -- seriously. If the center neither has an open-door policy nor encourages parents to stop by unannounced, chances are it has something to hide. Keep looking. A great daycare center will go beyond merely letting you in and invite you to become part of the center's community by helping with activities, accompanying the children on field trips, and so on. R&R gives all parents a handbook every year of all of it's rules. They don't bend the rules for anybody, making me feel confident that they are safe and well regulated while encouraging openness at all times. CHECK! 3. The best daycare centers have structured schedules that include plenty of time for physical activity, quiet time (including daily reading sessions for groups and individuals), group programs, individual activities, meals, snacks, and free time. As I've said before in this review they have a set schedule similar to a kindergarten that gives the children plenty of time to learn, play, rest, and get a well rounded head start for school. CHECK! 4. A trained, qualified staff - R&R's staff is CPR certified, keeps proper child to teacher ratios, and the staff interacts with the children with total positivism. The caregivers are responsible, enthusiastic, and well prepared. They also ask detailed questions about your child's health and care to help determine they right care for your child. CHECK! 5. Clean and safe facilities - The center is clean and sanitary. Floors, walks, walls, and all. The building is adequately heated, lit, and ventilated. Staff washes their and the children's hands regularly singing a hand washing song and after every diaper change. CHECK! I really wish we didn't have to leave but every child grows up and I'm glad that he did it in one of the best places we could find.

Classrooms are not too big and not too small. Food is mostly organic, no pesticides no hormones and so on and so on. Non toxic flooring, lighting, paint and furniture. I love the owner Lucy and basically anyone she hires. I saw another review saying that she goes through staff a lot, but frankly I'm glad she doesn't keep any bad apples. Kids are learning sign language and a little bit of Spanish. Lots of great activities for kids, few different playgrounds, indoor and out, music and dancing. My son loves this place and learning so much more than he ever did at place like Jumping Jax, were he was stuck with a teacher "who loved him so much" and thought him nothing. Teacher who barely spoke any English... Ms Lucy maybe you should start a private school as well, this way we can stay with you all the way till college ? Something to think about... The staff is so accommodating; they have answered all of our questions right away and send frequent updates throughout the day about your child. It is awesome to watch all of the activities and lessons the kids engage on throughout the day. With the pandemic, the school has been extremely cautious and following all of the state guidelines and hygiene protocols. My husband and I feel completely comfortable sending our son knowing the school is as prepared as they are.
