Choosing a place for your child's early years is a huge decision, and our time at TLE in Clarkston has been a blessing. Over the years my son has spent here, we have watched him transform from a curious toddler into a confident learner. The process my son has made is incredible. The Curriculum at TLE goes far beyond basic childcare. He has learned Sign language and Spanish which is great in comparison to my childhood. It's been amazing to see him hit new milestones and develop strong social skills through their play-based approach. As he prepares to leave for "big kid school," the difference is clear: he is exceptionally prepared. Thanks to their focus on Kindergarten readiness, he isn't just meeting benchmarks-he's exceeding them. He has the academic foundation and the classroom confidence to step into his next chapter without missing a beat. The staff doesn't just watch the kids-they truly adore them. From the patient teachers to the wonderful administrators, the level of care is outstanding. We've always had complete peace of mind knowing he is in a safe, loving atmosphere where the teachers go "above and beyond." Clarkston is a tight-knit community, and the center is a big part of that. We have loved the events they host, which show how much they care about our local area. Some of our favorite highlights include Themed Adventures, Family Date Night and Community Connection. I truly cannot say enough good things about TLE Clarkston. Our daughter started with TLE in January of 2025. We have never been made to feel like a bother by the management or teachers. Everyone is patient with us. Every teacher we have ever had, even the ones we were uncertain about at the start, have all adored our daughter and treated her better than family. Her current teachers, Rachel, Dina, and Gigi are so attentive and kind. We truly enjoy talking to them at pick up and drop off. Most of all, I want to acknowledge that daycare is expensive and it's hard to leave your baby with others. I can say with all honesty that my wife and I utter the phrase, "worth every penny," multiple times a month. My son started at TLE at the beginning of the year, and we've had such a great experience so far. He's in preschool, and we really couldn't ask for a better start to his school journey. Don't take your kids here unless you want them be treated horribly and talk to horrible. I was deciding if I should have my kid here or not and I made up my mind not to because I heard one the employees/worker yell at a crying baby telling him to shut the f*ck up or she will drag you across the floor till you burn and bleed and toss him across the room and they call my kid Chinese and call us immigrants. The worst experience ever , i feel so guilty that i had to put my little one through this , he was almost three , super happy and friendly. First teacher was ok the first week but then they changed her . The new teacher was an old racist woman, she was so rude with me and with my kid , putting him to time out for no reason , on valentines he got her a flower and when he was happy giving her the flower , she didn't even look at him . When we arrive at morning the kids would say hi to my son, she yells at them and shush them . Lastly he was playing superman with her pretending, she thought he was spitting on her ( because of the sounds he was making)so she put him on time out , my son apologized but she didn't even care or say anything,and then when i tried to explain what he was doing she kicked me out of the class , I spoke to the front desk and told them they were very cold and i signed out , after a month , I heard that the teacher was fired , so many complains from the mothers , I expected a call from the school , in case we wanted to go back, but they didn't care to do that. I put my son in the public preschool and it was the best thing ever. read more

My daughter started their Preschool 1 class in October with no prior daycare experience and so far everything has been great. I have never had to leave her there crying or upset and the teachers in her classroom seem to be pretty wonderful with her. Jen the administrator has been amazing as well. My daughter has not been around children much so she seems to be catching every bug possible this season. We have her scheduled Monday, Wednesday and Friday full days and they have been able to accommodate me EVERY SINGLE TIME my daughter has had to miss for an illness and let her make up the missed day on a Tuesday or Thursday. That is huge for my family as I am able to make up work without having to drag my daughter along with me and lose out on tuition paid. They also serve morning and afternoon snacks (as well as one around 5pm or so if your child is still there that late) and lunch, all included in the tuition. The food is healthy and they only serve fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, nothing canned which is great. My daughter has been a picky eater lately but since going she has started to eat more and more foods she had previously refused. They have a 4 week rotating schedule for the snacks and meals so you can see what they plan on serving for the day. And if it's something that you know your child won't eat, you can send in alternatives, including snacks. I always bring in a few snacks I know my daughter will eat just in case she is having a "picky day" but they usually aren't eaten until the ride home. The school is very secure with locked entrances requiring a key fob to gain entrance. They also have a security system in place in case of emergency situation (such as a school shooter) where they have plates that slide behind each classroom door to lock it in place so no one can enter if need be. I believe they are also upgrading their windows to the classrooms as well for more security if I remember correctly (perhaps bulletproof glass? Can't exactly remember). Not something you want to ever think about but it's nice knowing that they are safe if a situation were to arise. They also have an app to download to your phone where they post pictures of your child throughout the day eating, doing activities, ect. They also post what they ate and how much of it (example: Chicken bites: 1/2 serving, Corn: 1/4 serving, etc), what time they went down for their nap, what time they woke up or if they just "rested quietly", etc. I will be honest that some days they aren't as up on posting all of the details of the day, which would be my one are of suggestion for improvement. It's nice to know all what they ate and how long they napped. But I am sure if I brought it to their attention that I would like more details (which I have not) they would definitely make sure to do so). For the babies they post bottles (how many oz they had) and for the potty training kids they will post when they used the toilet, if they had a bowel movement, etc. My daughter started after being potty trained so I didn't get those updates. Their actual schooling curriculum for Preschool 1 is pretty much just in the morning for a few hours, then the rest of the day besides naptime is more play based. But with current research showing that pushing structured schooling too early can have negative impacts on future education, I am happy that it isn't too much for a 3 year old. They do the basics (numbers, letters, science, etc) as well as teach sign language (starting as infants if they are in the baby classrooms) and Spanish. Which I think is another great plus! They also have a summer program which my daughter will be attending that is more play based. Every Friday they have a special thing going on like having a magician come and fun things like that. I'm sure my daughter will love it! We are so happy we chose TLE instead of the Montessori schools we were looking into. Everyone has been super nice and welcoming to my daughter and our family. If all stays as it had been we plan on keeping her there for the next few years until she starts elementary school. I certainly don't agree with the negative reviews on here from our experience there in our first few months but I guess everyone has different expectations and perspectives. But I will update if anything changes. But again, thus far we are very pleased with the care being provided by Miss Elizabeth and Miss Arin and the rest of the staff. read more

My three children have attended this TLE. My older two are now in Elementary school but my youngest still attends in the Preschool class. He absolutely loves it. This place is horrible. Your child is just another number there. My daughter totally stopped going potty on the potty and developed major aggressive behavioral problems while there, that she NEVER had before. They basically have random girls watching your kids that call themselves "teachers". You never know who will be there when you pick them up. Nor do the afternoon girls know their names. They are always on the phone and seem very high school "drama". Half the time all of them were up at the front desk gossiping. I went through a month of hell when I took my daughter there honestly. After I left and took her to a different daycare, she didn't have one problem and was back to being potty trained within a week! It was crazy because they had me convinced that something was wrong with my child. Plus I met several other women in the area who all had various issues there too, after leaving there. I wouldn't even be writing this but thought I should try and spare some parents any drama or problems that I had. I just wish I had never taken my daughter there, and spared her whatever was really going on there. read more

My 2 year old son loves going to TLE and the teachers are extremely sweet and caring. Just started bringing my 3 month old daughter and although it's only been 1 week, I trust she is safe and well taken care of. The place is clean, conveniently located off 75, has a great app where they send you constant updates and pics, and good ratio of teachers to kids. They also have a ton of after hours events and even a night where you can bring kids so you can go on a date with your hub! I highly recommend this place. read more
