Missy is amazing and brought my daughter out of her shell. She started there barely talking and so shy and within the first week was talking like crazy! She was also reading site words and knew all of her shapes within the first month of starting. We love Missy and her family and consider them our own family. There is nothing better then peace of mind knowing your kids are safe while you're at work and we absolutely never had to worry with Missy. Hands down, best daycare around.

The teachers are incredible, the establishment is always clean and welcoming, the live cameras allow me to check on them at any time during the day, and my son has made so much progress since he's started there. The staff is very communicable and the only issue we've had within the years we've been there is the payment system (which have just been minor problems). I love that they include food, diapers, and wipes in tuition, it takes a lot off the parents' shoulders. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone!

The children not only learn basic schoolwork, but they also excel in working in groups, being kind to others, cleaning up after themselves, etiquette, motor skills, music, other languages, and much more.

While the price is very expensive (the most expensive in the area: between $1,500 and $1,700), it doesn't include lunch and snacks and several request to bring food or supplies are made on a monthly basis. Also the head of school is probably not experienced enough to manage the school. In fact, she seems overwhelmed with everything which happens in the school (she closes the school all the time rather than thinking through the issues). Staffs called themselves teachers while they take naps on the floor or look at their email all day. I left gateway few months ago and would definitely not recommend. There is cheaper and better service quality around in troy or royal oak. To avoid!!

Teachers are engaged, professional, and friendly. The room is immaculate and it is a loving environment. It appears to be a true Montessori as compared to a big name one in the area that seems to push a very academic curriculum. We have never encountered any issues. We have moved and now drive approximately 20 minutes to continue our relationship with this school, passing another Montessori that is probably just fine.

We have since left due to many issues with the owners NOT the teachers. Writing a bad review is not something I ever do, but I feel like it's necessary after all that happened to warn other parents. We had many issues with our checks being deposited whenever they felt convenient for them (over the course of a year)- we are talking a month later (they do not offer online payments).When the issue was discussed, and I stated that the parents are expected to pay each week, therefore they should be depositing our checks weekly, the response was less than friendly. Stating I needed to be better at balancing a checkbook, even though they were being extremely unprofessional. In addition, prices have increased 3 times in the past year (with very little explanation). Many parents were frustrated but understood due to inflation and figured the teachers deserved more money; so we stayed because the care our children were receiving was phenomenal. Summer came and the lunches WE PAY FOR in our weekly tuition were taken away and we were required to provide lunch for our children, while STILL paying the same tuition. When brought to their attention, there was no straight answer given. Where was our money going? Not to the teachers like we assumed, so where?The final straw was them taking away the toddler room and moving all the young toddlers into the room with the babies. This was not only unsafe, but an unrealistic expectation for the teachers. I felt like what once was an amazing center has turned into a chaotic, money hungry business. The teachers are underpaid, understaffed and overworked. The happiness in the center had dissipated and we finally had enough and left, along with MANY other families that have been there for years. The amazing teachers that we love so dearly have also left (these teachers have all been here for years and were long-term employees). There is a REASON why parents and teachers are not staying at this center. It is saddening, disheartening and was a tough decision to leave. I wish that the owners would open their eyes and realize that they are the problem and are the reason for staff leaving and parents pulling their children from this center.

One of my favorite things is that they work to meet your child where they are at socially, academically, etc, and help them to continue to grow. As a stay at home mom, I was so nervous to send my kids out of the house for the first time and I wouldn't have trusted anyone else. The second I walked into GBH I felt calmer and knew this was perfect for my kids. 3 year olds go 2 days a week, 4 year olds go 3 days and Jr K is 4 days. What they learn in that time period will absolutely blow you away. With the smaller classes and more 1-on-1 attention the kids learn so much quicker. We love GBH and highly recommend it to everyone!

Ms. Tanya and Ms. Jennifer are both so wonderful and love all of the kids they care for like their own. My daughter attended preschool here and she absolutely loved it. Right now my 8 month old daughter started to have to go a couple days a week and as much as I thought she'd have a difficult time, she was so content and felt so comfortable in the baby room with Ms. Sarah and all of her loving helpers in there. And if I ever need to check in - I simply text and Sarah shoots me a message right back - and sometimes with a picture of my sweet baby. Honestly, I have such a deep Christian faith, and knowing that this center is founded on that, makes me feel so good and at peace leaving my babies here. The rate is very reasonable and they have been so great working with my flexible schedule. Also, all of the employees hired here seem to have that deep sense of love for all of the kids too. Tanya and Jennifer seems to make that such a priority to only have the best there looking after the kids. I've also taken advantage of after school care here as well. All is well:) and with my baby here, I will also have my older girls ride the bus to this center after school so they are all in one spot. LCDC has been a God send to our family. We love you all!
