They have amazing lesson plans that keep the children engaged so they do not even know they are learning. The best part is that I get to experience the classroom twice a month or more if I want. I love going into the classroom and watching my little guy have his "lightbulb" moments. My eight year old also went through the program and exceptionally prepared for Kindergarten, both socially and academically. I would recommend this school also because it brings together all of the Moms. I have made some of my best friends through the preschool and have kept them since my older son was in school. It is an excellent place for parents new to the community or new Mom's who feel isolated to find other Mom's in their same situation. We all have come together to make CCP the best it can be. I'm so sad this is my last year. Wish we could stay longer.

I just can't say enough great things about Clarkston Co-op Preschool; I wish that I could send my daughter there for more than just two short years!

It was a fun experience and we decided to enroll for the school year. I absolutely love this school on so many levels. The staff are incredible. Waldorf is new to me but love the community and imagination based style of play, learning and life. They have so many traditions and events throughout the year that are magical. Nature based and a dim calm environment. The have a unique rhthym of the day that you won't find at just any school. They play outside, feed chickens, sing, open play, snack, story time, art, and so much more. I am looking forward to being part of the Acorn family for the next few years!

I love that the children have a rhythm and know what to expect each day. They get to take morning walks in nature, learn fun songs, feed chickens (and now pet the bunnies), learn how to chop vegetables, bake bread, learn finger crafts, molding beeswax, wet on wet painting, and everything about is natural. Lots of wooden toys to play with indoors & they get to wear cozy slippers, just like at home! The teachers are so comforting to the children when they need a little bit of love. My son needed that. I recommend you try their summer camps or ducklings classes.

Over the years my son has spent here, we have watched him transform from a curious toddler into a confident learner. The process my son has made is incredible. The Curriculum at TLE goes far beyond basic childcare. He has learned Sign language and Spanish which is great in comparison to my childhood. It's been amazing to see him hit new milestones and develop strong social skills through their play-based approach. As he prepares to leave for "big kid school," the difference is clear: he is exceptionally prepared. Thanks to their focus on Kindergarten readiness, he isn't just meeting benchmarks-he's exceeding them. He has the academic foundation and the classroom confidence to step into his next chapter without missing a beat. The staff doesn't just watch the kids-they truly adore them. From the patient teachers to the wonderful administrators, the level of care is outstanding. We've always had complete peace of mind knowing he is in a safe, loving atmosphere where the teachers go "above and beyond." Clarkston is a tight-knit community, and the center is a big part of that. We have loved the events they host, which show how much they care about our local area. Some of our favorite highlights include Themed Adventures, Family Date Night and Community Connection. If you are looking for a place where your child will be loved, challenged, and treated like family, I cannot recommend The Learning Experience in Clarkston enough!!

Everyone is patient with us. Every teacher we have ever had, even the ones we were uncertain about at the start, have all adored our daughter and treated her better than family. Her current teachers, Rachel, Dina, and Gigi are so attentive and kind. We truly enjoy talking to them at pick up and drop off. Most of all, I want to acknowledge that daycare is expensive and it's hard to leave your baby with others. I can say with all honesty that my wife and I utter the phrase, "worth every penny," multiple times a month. Our daughter has excelled here and gotten so many experiences and built so many relationships that we would never have had the time or resources to provide working full time.

My 4-year-old son attended Morgan's Early Learning Center for almost 3 years and it's always been a…read morepositive experience. Recently, I made the unfortunate decision at the start of the 2019-2020 preschool year to try out Stepanski Early Childhood Center across the street. I cannot tell you what a huge mistake I made by doing that. I qualified for the Oakland County's GSRP state-funded program based out of Stepanski, so free tuition. At Morgan's full tuition was paid. Like the other reviewer mentioned, sometimes you get exactly what you pay for when it's free or low-cost. (If you're interested in seeing photos of what can happen there, feel free to shoot me a private message. Posted my photos to Google believe they were flagged + my review was taken down.) Why the switch? Over the summer of 2019 Morgan's informed parents they were being bought out by another company. The timing was 'ideal' to try a new center. We all know how some corporate takeovers go...potential policy changes, staff turnover, and suchlike. My son was also set to transition into the preschool-level classroom there at the start of Fall 2019 *and* there was potential to save money at Stepanski. Everyone can stand to save a little more money, right? Well, not at the physical expense of your child. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. And no, I did not just stutter. ESPECIALLY if you have court / judgment-issued custody parameters that are not cut + dried (if you're divorcing, factor this in BIG TIME) and the potential of court officials who think your concerns do not hold water and your ex trapped you by design. 2 months of negative experiences at Stepanski will be ignored + trump nearly 3 years positive experience at Morgan's (or another center of your choosing). It makes no sense to me, but BE WARNED if you're in a similar situation. Let my mistake be your lesson. If you're the type of parent to freely invest in your child and are not a if-it's-free-it's-for-me individual, make that investment at Morgan's. The location on Hatchery Rd + Airport Rd should be on you daycare / child care center research list if you live in Waterford Township or nearby in Clarkston, Michigan. I have never felt that my son was in danger at Morgan's (and I am *always* on high-alert). You always get a heads up phone call if something has happened that they think you should know about or seems off (not some surprise on a piece of paper and on your kids' person at the end of the day). If you are running extra late, haven't called, and your child has not shown up by 10AM, they will reach out to you (gotta love a sincere welfare check). They also don't default to lazy app messaging use. But if one were used, I am sure Morgan's would be sensitive to how they should use them + triage the messaging accordingly. Staff make an effort to connect + know your name. I don't know if they are trained to say, "Hello!" or "Have a great day!" when passing parents in the hallway or upon leaving as a condition of employment, but it's always a bright and cheery scene 95% of the time. AMENITIES: They have a large outdoor play space that is sectioned off for younger kids and older kids with plenty of space to roam, summer Splash Days, book fundraisers, pizza day, holiday party days, IdentiKid events + picture day. The classrooms are spacious, clean, and well-stocked with toys and educational items. You often see staff actively cleaning, too. But daycare is daycare and germs are germs - it's part of the territory. They "make" you store nap items in giant Ziplocs. Not like the Bad Place across the street that must throw them in a heap and hand them back to you loose at some point down the road. Morgan's allows you to customize scheduling within reason or availability: 1/2 days, p/t + f/t weeks. One area where Morgan's can use some work: their marketing. The 2000's-looking website and Facebook activity could use an upgrade and focused content creation plan (here's looking at you Corporate Takeover Company). One thing I don't think they are doing a good job at is letting everyone know how good they are + how much they offer. Maybe move onto Instagram, too (I know that I am barely on FB anymore). Being more active with posting holiday 'we're open / closed' notice updates and text or email reminders for events. I once showed up when they were legit closed. I recently asked about the type of "curriculum" they use (not that it's a bad one, my kid learned A LOT there), but knowing that a structured one is available is a sure vote of confidence for a prospective parent. Be advised that there are chunky late fees if you don't pay your tuition by [every] Weds (even if you get paid on Thursday or Friday that same week), so plan accordingly. Also, timely pickups are incentivized by a $4 per minute late pickup fee. Understandable, people want to go the 'H' home and the company needs to offset O/T. Sadly, I will not see my son graduate from Morgan's, but you sure can if you enroll your kid.

He is definitely ready for Kindergarten at his public school. The curriculum is challenging enough to keep the children's attention, but appropriate to their age so that your child can progress and feel confident. My son's teacher, Ms. Kathy, kept the class on track, adding creative and imaginative aspects to the topic at hand. The assistant, Alexa, was very nurturing and patient with my high energy child. After enrolling my son in Goddard I came for 3 visits an hour each the week before he started in the infant room. I came home from each visit feeling uncomfortable. The issues that I had were with the teachers lack of communication. When I brought 4 bottles and gave his teacher exact times to feed him and I came to pick up my son and found he was only fed two bottles in the morning. He was laying on the tile floor on his back screaming. I was told that they didnt know when to feed him because the other teacher had left so they didn't. When I went to tell the director mrs. Jean she wanted me to speak on the phone with the head teacher. At this point I was feeding my son who hadn't been feed for several hours and was crying in hunger and she was upset I refused to stop feeding him to talk to the teacher on the phone. Another issue I had was my son was put to sleep in his swing when I asked that he not be Ms. Jean said I would need to address it with the teacher myself. I found my child was put to sleep in his crib covered in spit up (his outfit was dirty under his sleep sack). One of the teachers offten picks up the babies by their arms and calls them stupid. I never felt comfortable leaving my son here and after two weeks on the day I found my son wasn't fed we left the owner walked me to my car saying the tuition was nonrefundable.

I heard an employee say to a child he was going to shove his face in the snow last winter. I've had my child's personal items thrown from across the room toward my husband and son per his report and a boot almost hit him. Not appropriate. Im sure there are some great caregivers there. But when one that is impatient and just doesn't manage the children's emotional crisis well is the dominant energy than others follow. I walked in the room several time to different children crying and during the whole time it took me to change my child from snow items to other clothes and gather his things the child had not been spoken to. There are other ways I've seen this handled at another care facility.
