Children are abused here. They are bitten, pinched, forced to sit in chairs, cursed at and…read moredegraded, they are threatened. The teachers know which kids they can do what to; for instance, they know where the cameras are, and they know the 1-2 year olds won't repeat threats. Management is complicit, and they turn their eyes to the abuse because they are afraid of their family-owned business being under scrutiny. One of the members of management told a one year old girl she needed to lay still so she could get her "pussy" cleaned. Kids are regularly told, "If you were my kid, you wouldn't sit down for a week," things like that. I reported the abuse but they did nothing because I didn't realize how widespread it was; multiple teachers laugh when a teacher is "fed up" and threatens a kid. They all do it. It is terrifying. These kids can't defend themselves, and they can't tell us that it's happening, but it is awful and they need help. ​

I believe they were already at level but I see the excel in the way my little one talks and used certain words They also take concern from parents and work through them. When my LO never really experienced a true pre-school or daycare setting the transition was hard. That they were crying to go every day that I was about to pull my LO out, I let my concern be known and ms Kiran and her staff worked with us and my LO so well. My Lo is now looking forward to going and makes me so happy. My son talks about all of his friends every night, loves the playground, and brings home some cute art projects! He has matured so much just in the 3 months that he's been there, and he quickly stopped crying at drop off because he enjoys his school so much. Negatives would be the lack of an app, not being able to go inside yet, and having to write a check to pay. But, where they lack in modern amenities, they more than make up for it in care and tuition. This is the best priced tuition in the west end for an all day program. I am so thankful that we were able to get in off the waiting list after a 2 year wait and that my daughter will be able to attend next year. We plan to keep both children here until they age out. Thankfully, they pick up from our zoned elementary school so we are set in terms of childcare. It was a rough road to get here - the childcare situation in Richmond is absolutely horrible - but we are here and so thankful!

I love that it is smaller than other centers and has a more close-knit feel. The new playground for toddlers & 2's is lovely with a shaded cover and no mulch. There was a lot of staff turnover the past 1-2 years, but they are now in a good groove and all seem to work well as a team.

In an incident where it was clearly documented and seen on the camera to show she did not hurt a child they still blamed her. Lack of motivation and consistency at their facilities is dangerous. Do not send your child or children to these centers. They need additional training. I'm a child therapist and I wish I hadn't been so patient. Avoid the damage that I wish I had avoided. Keep them safe by utilizing a better place to provide care.

There are so many great staff members that make Celebree such a warm and supportive learning community for our children. Since starting in Ms. Markesha's room this January my son has thrived socially and developmentally. It's been so special to watch him grow and learn in her class. She also was able to support our potty training journey with our son at school. She parented with us and gave valuable feedback to us while we potty trained at home. Our son is so excited to come to school, and it's clear how much he loves being in her class. Ms. Markesha and Ms. Shae has created such a warm and joyful space to children learn and we are so grateful! Throughout the school day another really wonderful staff member is Ms.Tiffany! My son loves greeting her when he first arrives at school and when she is walking in the halls checking in and supporting classroom teachers. Even though she is not my son's class room teacher, it is evident that she truly cares for my babies and their well being. She shares sweet moments or interactions she will have with my babies any given time I drop them off and pick them up. It shows how much she cares and nurtures my children. Since my son transitioned to the Pre K 3 year old room this summer, Ms. Shanell and Ms. Dali have been wonderful! He has continued his potty training, developed fine motor skills, and is starting to apply academic learning through everyday life. He is learning his days of the week and can identify letters and early letter sounds! She also has made her self available to answer all of my questions or concerns I have in regard to his transition to her room. We are very happy with Ms. Shanell! Ms. Sabrina, the creative genius and art specialist for Celebree School of Henrico is phenomenal! It's clear how much my son loves creating new works of art in her class. She has created such a warm and special space for him to be creative and express himself. Fostering true inquiry based lessons and exploratory self expression is evident in the arts work displayed in the hallways and in the main lobby. Her work is developmentally appropriate for each child , and also provides room for each child to grow and expand their perspectives. She is so patient, encouraging, and caring with each child she encounters at Celebree. It's not easy work doing all the planning, prep, and execution of her lessons, but she makes it look effortless. And finally, Ms. Shilpa and Brianna have been so loving and nurturing towards my baby girl since she started at Celebree at 18 months. Shilpa has been very responsive, and shared many photos of my daughter throughout her day which gave me such peace of mind! My daughter has also really opened up and is loving her teachers in the Toddler B classroom! I have seen her engage in dramatic play, exploratory sensory tables, and developed gross motor skills through dance and creative expressive movement throughout her typical day. I know she is so happy because at home and over the weekend she asks frequently when she will go back to school. We are so happy with Ms. Shilpa in the Toddler B classroom! We cannot say enough praises for Celebree school and their support and care for our children.

I am very anger and sad to see all new marks on her on a daily basis that I transferred her to other daycare in a very short amount of time.
