I recently took a Adult Beginner's Sewing Class: Level 1 at Sew Fun. I have been eager to take a…read moresewing class and found a lot of local adult art classes near me fill up quickly. So I was really excited when I found this sewing lesson shop. It was $125 for three classes. I took Monday evening classes that were meant to be slotted for 2 hours, but our sweet teacher would go earlier and stay later to let us finish the projects. Do know that this is not a true beginner class. I wish they noted that you want to take machine fundamentals before, but as a beginner I was lost a lot of the time. Our class felt like it had way too many students at times, because our teacher took a 1:1 approach and sometimes you'd be waiting for her help for a while. This does not affect my review, but our poor teacher got sick before the second class, so there was a lot of rescheduling. She did her absolute best to accommodate us which was really kind. I wish in the Level 1 we got an overall explanation of how to do things so we weren't left lost and waiting for our teacher to help us. Do know that a good amount of the tools here are well loved. On my second class, I ended up at two broken machines and wasn't able to finish my project that night. Thankfully the teacher let me come early the third class to finish it. Each class you create a new project. We made a tote bag, a zipper pouch, and a little bucket kitchen bag. I think if I went in knowing more about the machine I would've had a better experience. If you're a true beginner, be sure to take fundamentals beforehand or learn machine basics first.

I was searching for an email address and saw a 1 star review for Primrose Atlee Commons. I was…read moreshocked because our son has been there for nearly 2 years and we absolutely love the staff, their demeanor, responsiveness and community involvement I clicked on the woman's profile and see that she only takes the time to criticize. While I certainly empathize with voicing concerns over a problem, every review she has ever given is 1 star. That leads me to believe that she has zero positive experiences in life, which is sad, or that she is too selfish to praise when it's warranted. I would take her review with a grain of salt. I'm sorry this woman had such a horrible experience, but each parent I've spoken to that has children there only say good things. Everyone knows "THAT" parent that is never satisfied and thinks their child is entitled to have people at their beck and call. I have a feeling her review was an example of that. Every teacher knows me, my wife and my son, though, truth be told, I have difficulty remembering their names. They seem to have genuine concern for my child and treat him like family. When I drop him off, he's excited and gives his teachers hugs. He doesn't even do that with some family members. I'm impressed with the amount he has learned there. The school has appreciation days for staff and parents. They participate in local charities and have events to fund raise in the community. We're truly fortunate to have such a great daycare in our community.
