This is such a unique environment as it's a smaller preschool but inside is full of so much for the kids to discover. Each day is truly different with the imaginative activities borne from the children's ideas. Our son always came home happy (and tired!), having had a full day each week. I can't say enough about how sweet these teachers are, and how respectful and kind they treat the children. The teachers send pictures so you get to see what they're doing each day. When we initially met her at our tour, we just knew that she was in this field for all the right reasons. Our boys started at the school when it opened, and their teachers have been amazing. Their primary teacher, Miss Katie, has been so loving, and cares about our boys in the most genuine way. They have come so far with her and Miss JaVonne, and we feel so lucky that our boys are in her class. The school director, Molly, has a background in speech therapy, which is so evident in how she has been supporting our children's development. The final straw for me is that I know for a fact my baby was miserable during the time she was there. She was 4mo so very often being strapped into a chair and she will get anxious and cry and because nobody will pick her up therefore she will start scratch her face or legs until see blood. Our daughter came to St. Catherine's in the 8th grade, and her experience has been nothing short of…read morefantastic. The learning environment is so welcoming and inclusive. The consistent message from faculty is "thank you for trusting us with your child's education- we are so glad that you are here." This positive energy sets the tone for our entire experience. Our daughter has always been a hardworking student. But the incredible depth of experiences and resources offered, combined with the empowering atmosphere of the school, are clearly promoting leadership qualities. It is evident to us that she is thriving in the all-girls setting, and she is much more willing to be assertive, take risks, and be herself. I'm sure there are many great academic programs to choose from in our area, but seeing our daughter develop into a confident leader... we could not ask for more. The amazing list of extracurricular choices- many sports teams to choose from every season, dance, theater, music- it really can't be beat. We are also amazed at the group of girls in her grade- friendly, kind, out-going kids. We're so grateful that we chose St. Catherine's (and they chose us!).
