Quarter sized patty

Went to lunch with my coworker and she was expecting a burger like before that was a proper sized patty and instead we were given this. Only reason we have it a 3 star is because the fries were so fresh.

I had a chicken burrito bowl. Chicken was nicely seasoned and freshly cooked. The service was friendly and quick at lunchtime.

They only serve beer, wine, and mead, but hard liquor folks do not worry... mead is essentially the hard liquor of the beer world, but tastes way better and at 20%, you'll drink way less! Their taps offer local beers and an array of imports from all over the world. I also learned that they are one of two bars in the entire Fresno/Clovis area that actually serves Guinness on tap! During my visit, the bartender suggested a something unique; a mixture of two different beers. I cannot remember their names for the life of me, but one was a peanut butter scout mixed with a purple-ish beer from house of Pendragon. All that to say, it tasted like a peanut butter and jelly and was delicious! Gracie, my bartender, was super friendly and very informed all the beers and wines they serve here. Who doesn't love a friendly and info field bartender?! If you haven't been here in a long time or are looking for a new place where you can belly up to the bar, the Bog House pub is it, cheers!

Already looking forward to going back for karaoke night!

They also have cider and beer on tap, which is always a plus. And the people who work here are super friendly and always willing to help. This past weekend I got the margarita pizza and their April special with tomato and ricotta, sooo good. If you like ricotta, you need to try their monthly specials because they're always doing something good. One of my other favorites is the chicken bacon pizza, it has chicken breast and their homemade ranch and it is SO good. I'm not even a ranch person like that, but theirs is actually delicious. Also, you have to get the cheesy garlic focaccia... it's soooo good. It's just a cute, chill spot to grab pizza and hang out. Every time I've gone, I've had a really good experience. I definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

Perfect for sharing and pairs well with the overall vibe. The space itself is laid-back and a good spot to hang out with friends. Service has always been friendly and easygoing. That said, I haven't quite found a beer here that really speaks to me yet. I've tried a few different options, and while nothing was bad, nothing has stood out as something I'd come back specifically for. Still, with how strong the food is and the atmosphere, it's a place I'll keep giving another shot, especially hoping to eventually find that go-to beer.

I don't believe I'd been in here since the fire that closed it down (many many years ago) but my…read morehusband had been in recently with friends and suggested it, so imagine my surprise when it looked just as I remembered it pre-fire. It's still dark, with dark wood tables -- a very old-school bar in the best possible way. It had been so many years that I didn't recognize any servers, but the woman who served us was very friendly, prompt and attentive. We sat at a small table for two in the bar, and we each ordered a drink (beer for him, cider for me) and we split a full order of nachos. They also brought us water without asking which was a very nice touch. Our drinks were good (mine was in a can, so it was exactly as expected). Husband ordered a dark draft beer that he enjoyed. The nachos were good. It was a generous serving and we liked how the meat was thoroughly cooked and we also liked how the chips didn't get soggy. One thing we both noticed is that there was a real shortage of cheese on the nachos, and we both feel like that's a crucial nacho ingredient: we would have liked a significant amount more cheese. Prices were quite fair for what we got. Anyway... it was a real nostalgic trip into 'Stones and we enjoyed it: we'll be back.

Random Valentine's day dinner…read more I never expect to go out on Vday, simply because I hate the crowds and how busy it generally is everywhere-- Nonetheless, it's always nice when my bf surprises me with plans! He made reservations so we didn't have to wait long to be seated. I have been here once before, a verrrrry long time ago but only for the bar, I'm sure. Back when I was bar hopping in my twenties. Never dined here. It was definitely set to be... moody? Very dimly lit, which I don't mind. I love being in darkness lol however, there were a bunch of much older customers dining there and I saw a couple of them shine their flashlight from their phones to see the menu better. They had a decent amount of seats inside and I believe there were some outside too. Our waitress was very spunky and friendly... we liked her. He ordered the Pork Chops (extra crispy), side salad. I ordered the Pesto Ravioli, with I think... Chicken Gazpacho(?) Soup? Something like that. If you can get passed the very thick, chummy texture... it was actually pretty good-- kind of like Clam Chowder? Anyway, he really liked his salad. He thinks all salads should come with raisins lol. He enjoyed his pork Chops-- however, they were not extra crispy like he asked. The rice pilaf that came with the plate wasn't the best, neither of us cared for it (and I normally loveee rice pilaf). The winner on his dish? I think it was the veggies (to me) it was cooked and flavored perfectly. My Raviolis were good, the tomato cream sauce over them was the right touch. Oh, I almost forgot... they gave us a basket of bread and butter (forgot to snap a pic)... I've gotta say, this was probably one of the worst bread I've ever received from a restaurant. We both agreed it seemed like very old bread, it broke apart very easily and felt stale upon biting. The butter didn't help it much either. We normally finish bread baskets-- we only touched the two pieces we tried and that was it... shame. For drinks, he got a beer and I got a pomegranate margarita. Beer is beer to him, as long as it's good. My margarita was good but it definitely was like a more watered-down version I remember getting back when I didn't know (or could afford) quality drinks. I used to pay for margs like that for $3 at Applebee's. Anywho, overall experience wasn't bad. It wouldn't be my first dining/bar choice but I wouldn't be opposed to returning.

A squeeze of fresh lemon took it to the next level, and while sauces were included, they honestly weren't necessary because the calamari held its own so well. The fried pickles were good overall, though I think the batch I received may have been slightly overcooked. There were a few bites that felt harder than expected texture-wise. Still tasty, just not quite perfect. To drink, I had the Lovely Lady Hazy IPA, which hit exactly what I look for in a hazy: balanced bitterness with a bright citrus pop that really came through. Easily a great choice if you're into hazies. The decor deserves a mention on its own--the space has a cozy log cabin-in-the-forest vibe that feels warm and inviting without being overdone. The entire restaurant and bar area were clean and neat, and the restrooms were spotless and well maintained, which I always appreciate. Our server, Logan (who I believe may also be a manager), was super friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the experience even better. Parking was another big plus--there's a side parking lot with plenty of space, which is rare and extremely convenient for a downtown location where street parking is usually a hassle. One thing to note: there's new ownership, and if you have gift cards from the previous owner, only the GM can approve their use. Unfortunately, he wasn't there during our visit, so I couldn't use mine. That said, it didn't sour the experience. Overall, great food, great beer, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Despite the small hiccup with the gift card, I'll definitely be back because the experience was genuinely enjoyable.

They have about 8 year-round beers and about as many seasonals not listed on the menu. In all, they provided a good diversity of beer on tap and I enjoyed each that I tasted (and the group of 15 that I was with also found all they tried to be quite good). I think I liked the Hazy Pale Ale best of all. On the food side, their smoked BBQ meats were delicious (I had the flatbread and St. Louis ribs on different nights) and really enjoyed both. As for service, both nights the staff was friendly, helpful, and service was great. Some previous reviews on Sessions were not all that glowing, and anyone can have a bad experience anywhere, but as a craft beer lover visiting from the US, I found Sessions to be a pleasant oasis in an otherwise craft beer Canadian desert.

Value for dough is terrible, but hey...ski hill, so I shouldn't whine. Natchos were at best meh. But for goodness sakes, don't order the Lasagna. Imagine a cast iron pan, half full with a white chowder base (more flour than cream), then throw in a few lasagna noodles, some Mexican ground beef and top with a thick layer of cheese. It is impossible to imagine how this dish ever came to be...but worse that it could survive the scrutiny of getting onto any menu anywhere. It might be the first time in ten years, that I had to ask the waitress what in fact she had put in front of me. Luckily they serve it w fries....perfect! The skiing made up for it, and i'm not sick, except of the idea of ever seeing that atrocious concoction ever again. Get rid of whoever allowed this dish to see the light of day!
