They told us they'd be there on Tuesdays. They were there whichever day worked for them. They charged per bag for bagging leaves which we didn't even want them to do (we actually like fireflies). Right now, I'm trying to enjoy my backyard on Memorial Day but I can't through the noise while they're at my neighbor's house ON A HOLIDAY! I hate this company.

I have tried numerous landscaping companies over the past two years and none of them have been a good fit. I'm so grateful I found Wellspring, and wish I had found them sooner! I love Rule #2 of their company--"Shut the damn gate!" This is a super important rule for the residences that they service, but also for our business! I love that they are considerate about the pets whose yards they are mowing and want to ensure their safety so the dogs do not escape from a gate that was carelessly left open. I also love how this company has been willing to work with some of our specific requests. We have clients dropping their dogs off for doggy daycare each morning between 7-10 AM and picking them between 4-7 PM and dogs are scared of loud noises like lawn mowers! So we requested they not complete our services during those time frames! They have been so accommodating about our schedule and respect our needs specific to running our business smoothly. We so appreciate that and we were not able to find this with companies we used before. Finally I love the videos that the owner makes! During the month of October Austin experienced unprecedented rainfall. I mean we had like 20 days straight of constant rain. The owner sent out plenty of email communication including videos explaining that they would do the best they could to get everyone serviced as soon as the whether cleared up. But he also explained that even if we had one day of dry weather, it was still not a good idea to mow lawns that were still completely saturated. I really appreciated the transparency. Overall this is the best landscaping company in Austin!

They added a stunning dry river bed crossing the yard corner to corner using two types of stone. Amongst plants added we are very fond of Nelly, our new Japanese Maple who we understand loves changing with the seasons! Marshall replanted our overgrown daylillies to the front of our house and added what we know will be gorgeous variegated pink azaleas for accent color and low maintenance! He included a birdbath and added a couple large stones even as late requests from us, even edged our ragged old front sidewalk to the front door with stone that fits in ever so nicely. Marshall has a remarkable work ethic. Shows up when he says he will, is diligent and responsible with his work and was careful of our property as he worked. He gave us a clear picture of what he planned and worked happily with us to incorporate our ideas. I recommend him to anyone who has landscaping needs. He is a person who you can trust to perform the work honestly at a fair price using good plants and materials who truly loves and as he should takes pride in what he does each day.

However, David (or someone there -- doesn't matter) instantly responded to note that I'm outside of their service area (hey, too bad, but useful to know), and -- !!!-- named a couple of other companies for me to contact instead. Maybe it's all bot-driven. I'll take it; not only was the response fast and courteous, it was potentially very helpful, and unexpected. As it turns out, I'd already reached someone else who can help, but I thought I'd point out that David's service is obviously on the ball and helpful even to a non-customer.

First a stay in the hospital and then endless doctor appointments to sort things out. I texted David to cancel our last service because we wouldn't be home to unlock the gate. We lost track of virtually everything in the panic I think most parents can relate to. When your kid is in the hospital, you don't stop and take time to dig out lawn care invoices. That can all be sorted when the emergency is over. Right? Not so much I guess. David apparently likes to threaten *filing police reports* for invoices that are less than 30 days past due. This is absurd to the point that I don't have any other commentary. He should feel ashamed, but never even acknowledged my text when I paid the invoice and told him what had happened. There are better people to cut your lawn.

After being a no show I get an email saying they didn't make it out, which happens. But instead of coming out the next day, they come out three days later. Large patches of grass were missed all over, what was cut is very uneaven, there is trash laying around in my yardbthay was hit by a lawnmower but just left there, leaves and branches are still everywhere, and when I checked my yard cameras I see leaves we're just blown off into my neighbors yards, for which I am responsible for and have to make appologies for and clean up. So when I contacted The Green Dude about a $100 invoice for this mess, this was the response: "You are right it was not our best work and I apologize if the leaves got blown on the neighbor's lawn. Please take a $20 discount on this invoice." No offer to come out and fix it, the mess is still there and I am still being charged $80, plus need to go fix it myself, along with my neighbor's yards, or spend even more money to have someone come do it. I am very sorry, but I cannot recommend The Green Dude after this. You are better off finding a kid that can use $20 and hire them for this kind of results.
