Lavender merchandise

Having passed this place many times, I had extra time today to check it out... It was a very slow Friday afternoon....only 4-5 cars, mostly to utilize the very nice dog park. The ice cream & lavender lemonade shop was closed??? The gift shop, located at the other end of the guest attractions, was staffed by a young woman (18-20 years old). I inquired of her about some of the lavender infused food items. She was poorly trained and had no information to share. I was in the mood to make a purchase, but ended up leaving without buying anything. In general, this stop was largely a waste of time. Maybe things are more active and interesting at other times of year ‍ The dog park and restrooms are the one "pawsitive" I saw....and I don't have a dog.

This is a nice road side stop to stretch your legs, they have a small garden/photo area with some dinosaurs and other animals for the kids to look at. Gift shop is nice and prices are reasonable. Restrooms are clean. Staff is friendly and attentive. They gave a covered area with cooling misters. Good place to spend about 30-60 minutes, if you are in the area. I would not consider this a destination spot, but it is good as a rest stop, especially if you have kids or dogs. Keep an eye out for snakes as you are walking.

Saw the signs driving west towards SLO from the 5 freeway, so made a stop excitedly to check out the beautiful lavender displays. But this was in March and there were no blooms of lavender yet. I think after June is when it should be ready, so definitely make a stop if in summer. Otherwise, it was a good place to take a break and stretch out legs and walk to the left from the shop to the building which sells lavender touched ice cream and restroom as well. I just got the small size to try it out since never had lavender flavored ice cream. It was actually quite refreshingly good with a clean hint of lavender! I don't remember the costs but it was such that 3 of these small ones would cost more than the big pint size they also had. So if you have more 3 or more folks wanting to get, might as well get the much bigger pint and share. I saw a family with kids walking out with 3 of the small packs and wondered why not just get the big pint and have at it amongst the family. Initially got lost when turning into the opening from the road while going west bound. Turned right in to the opening and went straight for a while, which ended up leading to some almond factory. This place is pretty much parallel to the road, so once you turn right into the opening, immediately turn left to go further west parallel to the main road.

We stopped here on our way to SoCal. Bought two of the room sprays to gift family and one for myself. When I got home I smelled it and did not smell lavender at all! I'm so embarrassed that I gifted one of them! What is this? Rip off! Do not buy it!

It's the cutest place in the middle of nowhere! It smells so amazing as soon as you get out of your car :) The owners are super friendly and keep the place super nice , their products are amazing , from the lavender lemonade to the lavender essential oils . Theres a cute little maze for children and a Dinosaur park as well! Definitely recommend stopping by .

Loved the lavender fields at Moore! So beautiful, but definitely out in the middle of nowhere.

Cute stop off of Highway 46. When you exist your car you can smell the lavender. There is a really cute gift shop with hand, body and tea products made from lavender. The staff is super friendly and nice. If you go towards the house you will find another shop for snacks and drinks. We bought lavender lemonade and it was so good. My daughter also tried the wild strawberry lemonade which was equally as refreshing. They also serve a few flavors of ice cream. There is a restroom which was clean and kept Ed up. Lastly, for any travelers with pets, they have a nice dog park for big and small dogs do they too can stretch their legs and do their business. A nice pit stop along the road.

The hand sanitizer smells amazing. Can't wait to try the honey in my tea tonight

Great place to stop and take pictures with the dinosaurs. We took a lot of silly ones. They have food on the weekends. Great little gift shop, when you walk in it smells amazing. The lavender body lotion is made there. Try it, amazing! I bought hand sanitizers and lavender honey.

If your traveling to Paso Robles or to Pismo Beach .... Make a stop here. You won't regret it. It's nice to see lavender in full bloom. You can take pictures and get close to the lavender bushes. Just be careful , because their are bees swarming around near the lavender bushes. They have a gift shoppe , where you can buy all things lavender. Was looking forward to trying lavender ice cream , but unfortunately wasn't available today. Was looking to try the lavender lemonade , was a little disappointed it came in a glass bottle and not freshly made from a dispenser.

In comparison, my daughter ordered a spray online for $187, and the difference in quality was striking. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words--and it was painfully obvious that the arrangement I received was nowhere near worth what I paid. What made this even more upsetting is that I was in a state of deep grief when I placed the order. I was crying during the consultation and was assured the spray would be beautiful and fitting for my mother. Instead, I felt embarrassed having it displayed at the service. It looked like something that might cost $100 at best. When I returned to the flower shop two days after the funeral to express my concerns and request a refund, the owner shockingly suggested that the funeral home must have removed flowers from the arrangement. I found this accusation to be completely unacceptable and offensive. I have since reported the incident to the Better Business Bureau, though I have not received any resolution. I have always made a point to support local businesses, but after this experience, I will not be supporting this one again.

A tale of Succulents to Invasive Species!…read more While my experience with stand-alone Nurseries is generally limited as opposed to "hybrid" places that combine Hardware &/or Farm Supplies shops [or even Big Box stores like HD], this cute place is one of my favorite places to stop once in a while. The owner and workers are friendly and knowledgeable. The owner even provided a cautionary tale of his ongoing issues with a certain invasive bedding plant that seems to be everywhere on the grounds. In any case, whenever I am on the hunt for more succulents to add to my collection or even for advice on them, the owner here is super-nice. While I somehow always overthink succulent care, he is one of the few people who know how to set me straight with practical advice. The proof is that he practices what he preaches: to take small pieces of some succulents and throw them into the space in another potted plant. While not a sure thing, it seems to work well for him at least. Using some of that advice, some of the cuttings I have tried to root over time have finally developed roots and even flowered over months, not weeks. It sometimes seems like "magic". If there is one sure Kryptonite for most succulents is over-watering or even excess moisture. Cuttings, pups, and leaves need to be left to callous over before watering. Fungus growth can be an issue, or even kill anything placed in the soil right away...with a few exceptions [like some elongated Echeveria fallen stems that we directly placed into the ground]. Succulents are just a weird bunch of plants that are extremely diverse. Many actually came from South Africa and many of the coast plants that one sees on the Central Coast Beaches and along the 101 are actually invasive Ice Plants...which are succulents as well. While you rarely may or may not get a hefty fine for picking a California Poppy growing like a weed in some parks, picking an invasive Ice Plant is typically not such a big deal. Ironically, even though there are projects to remove invasive species from beaches or coastal areas, Ice Plants are still sold in plant stores. Of course, some plants can & will invade one's garden, and even at Cherry Lane, they have a problem with another invasive bedding plant as well...which grows all over the place. As far as IcePlants go the reason that they were introduced in California in the first place was to help stabilize the vast tracks of railroad area soil with the plants. Unfortunately, they did little to help and then went on to invade most California Beaches, most Coastal areas, along vast areas of 101 freeway and the exits and entrances, and even many nature preserves at least along the CA Central Coast. They can become quite dense in some areas and some varieties are even edible thus one can see rabbits populate some coastal succulent-filled areas. Speaking of edible invasive plants one can find in California, quite oddly from a former NYer perspective is seeing common Fennel growing wild. Please try not to pick it since one rare butterfly needs them. They paused their involved conversation for a split second so that one could glance up to give a deadpan unfriendly, non-welcoming, underwhelming acknowledgment (I intentionally didn't say "greeting"). Huh, okay, maybe I misread that, I thought. I shopped around while they continued to ignore me and the other shoppers in the store. Me, willing to think it was a fluke, I say something friendly to them about liking the shop and they both stared at me blankly and said nothing (What?!? Who does that??). It was beyond strange- it was rude. I told my daughter to put back the items she picked out and let's go. As we left, my daughter said "bye, thank you" and they ignored her. The whole thing was offensive to me and I'm posting so the owner is aware, and if *that* was the owner of the shop, she clearly won't care anyway and can get back to making my voodoo doll. Went to the next shop where we were greeted from across the store with "hi, welcome in!" And then the store after that with "good afternoon!" And genuine smiles. Creating a positive, welcoming and friendly customer experience goes a long way. The 1-star rating is for the experience. The shop itself has interesting and unique finds and I like the space.
