They have a self-serve honey hut on their farm it's really cute and cozy! We bought the Coastal Wild Buckwheat variety. It's incredibly fresh and has a lovely, fragrant aroma. The owners are very kind and helpful, and the farm has a charming, country feel. The only thing I didn't love was that you have to get the honey yourself I was hoping to chat with the owners a bit and maybe get some recommendations. Also, just a heads-up: there are bees everywhere (lol)!

Loved coming here for fresh local honey! Will definitely be back with out of town guests!

My husband and I wanted to try something other than wine on our vacation in Paso and stumbled upon Sierra Honey Farm thanks to our trusty Yelp app. We had a bit of difficulty finding the farm, I suppose because we were looking for something larger as far as the store goes. What we discovered was a cute little shack not much bigger than an outhouse. It is self-serve and you are trusted to put your cash in a little box on the wall. There was not a human in sight, so we purchased a bottle on a whim and are hoping for the best. The reviews are rave ones so I trust my $16 investment was a good one.

We were looking for some fresh Raw Honey for our son ,who likes to make Mead. Sierra Honey Farm was only 6.5 miles away so we made the drive . It's located just off the 101 freeway , then up a dirt road. The farm is great with lots of animals. The pigs were friendly and greeted us . The Honey hut is decorated nicely and has a live bee display with the Bees hard at work. There is a variety of honey to choose from, along with some swag. No one was around mining the store, but noticed that they have an honor system. Select your honey and drop the cash in the box. It would have been great to talk to the owners to get some info on how it all works. There is plenty of parking and an outhouse close to the hut.

Awesome self service shack and that allows you to purchase product in a clean and peaceful environment. The honey is delicious and the views on our drive out to the farm were gorgeous. Thank you

For the best raw honey visit the self service farm & buy your choice of high quality honey. A regular jar is $13 A smooth dirt road takes you back to the property They have planted a few shade trees that haven't got real big yet snd there's a couple chairs and a bench to hang out there I attended a private event and saw how the honey is processed I plan to go back and buy more honey as stocking stuffers for Xmas Highly recommend

A bit off the 101 freeway and down a dirt road is the Honey Hut of Sierra Honey Farm. The little hut beholds a delightful assortment of honey flavors including black sage, coastal sage, orange blossom, onion blossom, and many more. We purchased several flavors (for ourselves and to give away as gifts.). The beekeeper was very friendly. He and his dog came over to greet us and he shared how he harvests the honey. (The bees and the manmade hives are taken to nearby orchards where they pollinate fruit trees and vegetable fields. The bee keeper then harvests the honey from the various bee hives.)

A family owned and operated business that is well worth the trip off the beaten path. If you make the trip you'll be rewarded with a great experience of taste, education, and variety. The product that this small operation offers is pure, no frill, deliciousness. During my visit I was able to try their library of honey, and each one had its own flavor profile. Each taste will leave you wanting to try it:on toast; in a sauce; with a dessert; or just on a peanut butter and honey sandwich. A trip to this business will not disappoint.

The company breeds healthy, gentle queen bees that have mite-resistant behaviors. Starting in 2011, the company began selling queen bees that are locally adapted to the California Coast. The California Bee Company offers lots of bee-related services such as producing and packing their own honey, bee education, candles (which I own and love!) bee pollen, bee pollination, bee propolis, queen bees, and swarm removal. A company like California Bee is vitally important because bees need our help! Colony Collapse Disorder has led to the decline of honeybee populations across the world since 2006. The drive into the farm was so beautiful with the rolling green hills. Our tour guide took us up to the farm where we got to hold some of the baby goats. That was one of my favorite parts of the tour. Then we learned how they milk the goats and got to see where perfection was made.... The cheese! After the cheese aging room we went into the tasting room. That was my second favorite part of the tour! I loved trying all the cheeses that are in season. I was also excited to join the cheese club. It's different signing up randomly vs learning about the cheese making process and all the hard work that goes into making it at the farm. That's what got me to sign up for the cheese club. It makes you more excited to join the cheese club when you're there in person. Plus I like the exclusivity factor of some of the special cheese and things I get to experience. If I could change anything it would be to spend more time with the goats. I love animals. I could have held my baby goat for hours. I almost wish they had a tour where you could just go hang out with the goats. And then I also heard a rumor that they used to have ice cream. I would love to try the ice cream produced at this farm!! But other than that I would definitely do this again! I can see my future charcuterie boards with the delicious @stepladdercreamery cheese all over my boards. And it's so exciting!
