Laundro Lab Laundromat

It was time for a laundry stop on our cross-country road trip, and this is by far the best…read morelaundromat we've come across in our travels. Super clean, new modern machines, fast WiFi, and an incredibly friendly and helpful attendant on-site to answer questions; large parking lot too, so we had no problems parking our camper van. We were there mid-day on a Monday and were a little concerned at first to see two people toting their laundry in ahead of us, but there was no reason for concern: there were plenty of washers and dryers of various sizes available. We ended up using a pair of the smallest (20 lb) washing machines, since we had to do both a load of whites and colors. Pricing on those was based on cycle type: $3.25 for Quick Wash, $3.50 for Cold, $4.00 for Warm or Hot, or $4.25 for Delicates. The dryers came in three sizes. We put both loads together (less a few air-dry-only items) into the smallest (35 lb) dryer, which costs $0.25/5 minutes (a quarter will get you 4 or 3 minutes in the two larger dryer sizes), and they dried easily in 25 minutes (possibly could've gotten away with just 20 minutes). Payment can be by actual quarters (there's a change machine on-site), or by app; being one-time visitors, we just used cash. All in all, it was a great laundry experience, and we highly recommend this place to locals and travelers alike!

I've been coming here for a few weeks bc it's pretty close, convenient and has anything you'd need…read more That being said, i went in tonight at 9:00 (1 hr before close) bc I just had something small, i'm really in and out i don't sit there for 5 years folding shit. I would've taken max 40 minutes (20 before they get done) i walk in, first employee says nothing to me as i walk past his counter, 2nd dude waits till i put all my stuff in the machine- I look at the machine and realize its closed and then bro decides to tell me "Last wash was at 8:45" after i clearly already had realized. I say "thats great" and It killed me not saying anything else after that. I get people coming in before close can be annoying, i've worked at restaurants i totally get it. The difference here is, at a restaurant we have to close everything up and clean up after everyone and everything- and it's a huge thing to clean up after. At a laundromat though? Dude you might have to reopen the detergent slot doors on the machine? And you're done? I TOTALLY understand kicking people out if its 9:20 or 9:30 and they have a big ass load of stuff. I had ONE little thing of laundry, and it was an entire HOUR before close. So unserious bro. I wouldn't have slowed down anyones day lmao- 7-9 other people were still in there doing all their bs- I likely would've been done before at least half of those people 1000%. For this experience alone it deserves 1 star, im just gonna go back to the place I used to go to bc they don't have useless ass employees preventing you from doing your laundry

Riverside Laundromat - Amenities crucial to laundromats..

Anyone who vacations in, or has a seasonal home (without washer/dryer) in the Jay/Wilmington area…read moreknows that there wasn't much in the way of laundry services here unless you wanted to go down to the river and beat your stuff on a rock. Until Riverside Laundromat showed up. First, this place is adorable- wood walls, nice lighting, and CLEAN. Things that might be important to you: They have wifi. Password is on the wall by the change machine. They have a change machine. They also use a card system that can be paid for with cash or credit card. It appears, though, that the machines work with credit card too so I'm not sure of the benefit of their card. I got one anyway. They have two machines that dispense single serve detergent if you need. 6 chairs for waiting. They have a bathroom. 4 laundry carts. A couple surfaces for folding. The price- There are two different sets of washers and dryers- big and small. For the big machine- $5.75 for a "normal" 22 minute cycle- price goes up if you change the temp, choose heavy duty, etc. $3.50 for a smaller machine. I used the larger because I didn't notice the smaller (face palm). The huge dryers are .25 for four minutes. They are nice huge dryers though- could fit a sleeping bag if ya need. Which reminds me, shoulda brought mine. Dang it. The smaller dryers are .25 for five minutes. The only thing that was a bugger using their card is that I chose 30 minutes to dry and had to stand there and swipe their card 6 times because it was only doing 25 cents at a time. They do have a pickup service but you have to call because it wasn't attended when I came by. Excellent place. Beats toting dirty clothes back home!

I brought my weeks' worth of laundry (about 6 loads) here when our household washing machine died…read more I very much appreciated the selection of various sized washing machines and associated pricing structure per load. For a single load on cold at the lowest setting (ranging from light, to moderate, to heavily soiled), it was $3.25, increasing in increments of $0.25 if you choose warmer temperatures or higher soiled levels. The double load washers were only $0.25 more to start, working in the same $0.25 increments. For 2 single loads and 2 double loads, including 2 dryer loads, it cost me just about $18. There are multiple washers for triple loads and blankets, as well. There's also a sign reminding people not to wash their horse blankets in the machines :D Thank you for that! It's a nice, clean facility with on-site dry cleaning, a change machine for quarters ($1, $5, $10, and $20 bills only and no credit cards accepted), a dispenser machine for detergents, folding tables, wheeled baskets, and chairs. You can definitely see that the chairs and tables have taken some wear and tear over the years and haven't been maintained, but it doesn't diminish the quality of services provided. That's where the 1 star came off. WiFi is available within the vicinity but is not directly provided by the laundromat. I was able to sit outside in my car and connect to local WiFi and do my homework on a laptop while on zoom for about 3 hours and never lost service (I stayed until after my laundry was done). All in all, a really positive experience and I'll definitely be returning!

Clean, modern laundromat with brand-new machines…read more I originally came here when my washer broke, but now I come back regularly because the machines are bigger, faster, better and more efficient than my home unit. It also gives me a place to relax and find some solitude while the machines run. The laundromat is always spotless and well maintained, with a quiet, comfortable, clean atmosphere that makes it easy to relax or read while waiting. It looks like they recently renovated the entire place, from new paint and seating, to new machines. Pricing is fair, especially when you factor in the cost of electricity, water, wear & tear and maintenance at home. The washers and dryers are fast, large-capacity, and accept credit cards. The manager is friendly, helpful and usually on-site, which makes a big difference. Excellent customer service (which is rare these days). You can tell they genuinely care about the space and their customers. Easily one of the best laundromats in the area -- highly recommend.
