No children actually come out of vending machine.

I do not often use a laundromat, and I had to ask the proprietor way too many questions. He was amazing. And you are right in downtown Stowe, and can walk around and site see while your laundry is washing.

The Stowe Laundry is clean and bright with new high-tech washers and dryers and also a dry cleaning service. The washers and dryers don't use coins, but rather a card you purchase from a machine in the wall. The card can only be loaded with cash (no credit cards) in full dollar amounts. The woman working here was extremely helpful and patient, explaining how to use the equipment and answering questions from various customers. WiFi is free, and chairs are provided, but there are no tables to use a laptop, etc. Adding a table or shelf with outlets for people to do work would be an improvement.

HDTV (with cable) to entertain you while you wait.

The machines are tricky to operate, but I figured them out. No attendant, but well-lit and safe, with a clean rest room.

Clean, but ridiculously expensive. $20 to do 2 loads?! Only saving grace is the nice, helpful staff.

I'm passing through and needed to do some laundry…read more After reviewing Yelp reviews, I chose Clothes Quarters. They didn't disappoint. The machines are newer, and they have a *gasp* actual human present should anything go awry. The last time I used a laundromat when traveling the washing machine wouldn't open to let me get my clothes. There wasn't anyone on premises, and the phone number posted was worthless. I was told I would have to wait hours before a technician could get there. Trust me, if you're traveling, and need to wash some clothes, you couldn't find a better place. I don't use a laundromat at home, but if I lived here and needed to do laundry this place would absolutely be my choice.

I thought the place was clean and I did not notice any smell. A few folks were busy washing and…read moredrying and folding, but there were still plenty of available machines to choose from. Clothes Quarters does accept quarters. They also use an app and while I appreciate "winning the jackpot" as I convert at $10 to quarters, I'd much rather use an app so that I'm not filling my coin holder with extra coins. The app was easy to register and use on the washer but they don't use it for dryers. I though I was stuck losing $15 in credit. Not to worry - I sent an email inside the app requesting a refund and it was processed within a day or two. The laundromat is clean and tidy. There is free wifi and there are places to sit while you watch your clothes go round and round. They do sell detergent but I had stopped at the Dollar Tree up the street for a big bottle. All of the machines I used worked fine and there was enough space to fold my clean clothes and then I was on my way. [Review 17842 overall - 36 in Vermont - 1363 of 2022.]

Anyone who vacations in, or has a seasonal home (without washer/dryer) in the Jay/Wilmington area…read moreknows that there wasn't much in the way of laundry services here unless you wanted to go down to the river and beat your stuff on a rock. Until Riverside Laundromat showed up. First, this place is adorable- wood walls, nice lighting, and CLEAN. Things that might be important to you: They have wifi. Password is on the wall by the change machine. They have a change machine. They also use a card system that can be paid for with cash or credit card. It appears, though, that the machines work with credit card too so I'm not sure of the benefit of their card. I got one anyway. They have two machines that dispense single serve detergent if you need. 6 chairs for waiting. They have a bathroom. 4 laundry carts. A couple surfaces for folding. The price- There are two different sets of washers and dryers- big and small. For the big machine- $5.75 for a "normal" 22 minute cycle- price goes up if you change the temp, choose heavy duty, etc. $3.50 for a smaller machine. I used the larger because I didn't notice the smaller (face palm). The huge dryers are .25 for four minutes. They are nice huge dryers though- could fit a sleeping bag if ya need. Which reminds me, shoulda brought mine. Dang it. The smaller dryers are .25 for five minutes. The only thing that was a bugger using their card is that I chose 30 minutes to dry and had to stand there and swipe their card 6 times because it was only doing 25 cents at a time. They do have a pickup service but you have to call because it wasn't attended when I came by. Excellent place. Beats toting dirty clothes back home!
